Um.. I thought they were slowly raising the player cap on servers? If that got raised, you'd see the server "load" go down.

Maybe Empire outnumbers Republic on some servers (PvP servers), but in my experience, it seems the opposite is true (RP servers).

I think that due to the fact there are so many planets involved in the SWTOR game, it's not going to be an easy feat to make every single one feel like a big open world while still being practical.

I'm having a great time, I'll admit. The leveling experience has been wonderful; love the story and the dialog. I get a real sense of personality from many of the characters I come across, including my own. The story is twisting and engaging as an Imperial Agent. I've found a few bugs, though little has been troublesome enough to affect my overall enjoyment. I REALLY liked my characters ship and the whole star travel between worlds thing. As I get used to the combat and abilities, I'm finding it goes pretty smoothly and some of the abilities are pretty interesting. I've noticed that there is more thought going into a pull as I level up. CC and other things really make a difference whether or not to survive at times, which is also interesting. The community in game has been great as well; tons of friendly people who are chatty on General and groups running about together; I've met quite a few fun folks and RPers. It's like night and day to these forums at times - I guess all the people having fun are in game! I'm glad I moved to a less populated server to avoid the queue times though. >.>

I get this weird impression that there are people who literally LIVE in the Customer Service forum. o.o

Erm.. the queue I waited on the other night for Lord Adraas was about 30-45 minutes. When I crashed after I got in, I didn't bother trying again and logged in somewhere else. >.>

Lord Adraas was one of the servers I logged into and maybe I had bad luck or something; but General chat on imperial side was filled with a lot of trolling. I wish to play imperial agent somewhere, but I'm having difficulty settling anywhere as its either like Lord Adraas, or deathly silent on General, and its still a bit too early to see any RP going on. I was also hoping for a decent west coast server, but I don't know if that's going to happen.

Aye, it seems as if the "super servers" are mostly (all?) East coast. I'm a west coast person, and yes, high ping due to distance... sucks.

Too many people who's sole purpose seems to be to run around ganking lowbies and camping them, or their quest hubs on PvP servers. For most of these - it has nothing at all to do with "roleplay", and more to do with getting their jollies (ego boost/griefing). It simply gets annoying and besides, conflict can be simply RPed via emotes anyway. It's usually more engaging, elaborate and fun that way.

I'm honestly concerned about the whole super server thing. Having logged into, and made characters on a few of them, I'm finding the horrendous queue times and General chat to be daunting. There aren't that many RP servers as it is, it might be a better idea for people to spread out a bit more. >.<
