  1. This isn't a level 50 unlock. When you complete Chapter 2 on any given class, it unlocks that characters buff to be used simultaneously with every other buff. So technically you only need to get the 4 core classes up to the start of Chapter 3 to unlock all 4 buffs.
  2. I got a Cyborg on Imp side to 50 and when I made another Cyborg on Imperial side, it unlocked about 30 brand new Cybernetic options.
  3. The Garrison level 48 crafted rifle looks pretty cool actually but then again its one of the hardest ones to get augmented since it requires I think 3 Biometric Crystal Alloys per attempt. My friends Vanguard has one and it looks pretty sweety actually. http://www.torhead.com/schematic/gM5BINd/the-garrison#. There's a screenshot of it on the right side of that page.
  4. Yeah, that says MERGERS are not a priority. TRANSFERS are. There's a difference.
  5. I initially stopped reading there after seeing your thread title. After deciding to give it another go; let me explain to you what's wrong with your list of things to do at 50... 1: Run Flash Points. Been there done that. Gear is worthless. 2: Run Hard Mode Flash Points. Same as above only the gear is slightly less useless when you have higher gear already. 3: Do daily repeatable quests on Illum for gear upgrades or just for credits or just for (gasp) fun. Yeah, this is nice for a few days until you have all the armorings and mods you need from them. And they are NEVER fun. Wait until you are on your 3rd or 4th 50. It's the opposite of fun to mindlessly do repeatable dailies. 4: Do repeatable group quests on other planets, some of which have specific goals in mind, for instance, there is a planet where you can do daily group quests that reward orange level gear specifically for your companions. Nobody gears out all of their companions...NOBODY. It's such a waste of time since you will never use them in a HM FP or Ops and you can't use them in PVP. 5: Craft. Believe it or not, some people LOVe doing this and it is actually quite entertaining in this game. Crafting is fine and I do it but I do it to have my own stuff since my server is dead and I can't get it elsewhere. 6: PVP. It's pretty good here. Lots of reasons to do this, particularly with the coming ranking system. This will keep some people very busy for days on end. Some people can't PvP cause their servers are dead and the queues are hours and days long. 7: Socialize. Yes, people do still like to just "hang out" and have fun shooting the breeze. Get in there and meet new people you anti-social gits! Hard to socialize when you're the only one on the fleet. 8: Space Combat. Many people enjoy this very much. Yeah for a few days then it's as old and boring as the rest of the 50 stuff. 9: Run normal mode, 8 man operations. Some good story here and very simple to organize and complete. 10: Run hard mode, 8 man operations. Again, easy to organize but a much steeper learning curve with gear rewards that reflect this. 11: Run 16 man normal operations. Harder to organize but much more epic in scale. If you have a big guild or a huge friends list or both, it's well worth the time to organize one of these and get it going. 12: Run 16 man operations on hard mode. Not for the feint of heart but just what the doctor ordered for others. Ops can only be run once a week on each difficulty mode. And on servers like mine with next to nothing for population, you can't do these. My point here is... You just hit 50. It's all new and fresh for you. But for those of us who hit 50 long ago and have since made several more 50s and the content is stale.
  6. It better be because they are working so hard on getting this transfer crap solved so it can go live ASAP. More than likely though they are just laughin it up at how we are raging on the forums.
  7. For the last 2 characters I got to 50: Ilum Dailies starting at 47/48. I did all of the planet quests / side quests for every planet until the end of Alderaan. I skipped the end of that and also half of Hoth, all of Belsavis, the last 1/3 of Voss and all of Corellia) Even with skipping all that content I was able to finish my Class Quest on Corellia by the end of 47 or the beginning of 48 with little to no PVPing in there. Starting the Ilum missions at 48 you should be able to hit 50 from just the first day of the Ilum Story Quest / Dailies because they actually give about 24k xp each.
  8. Please, listen to the community and answer our question: What specifics can you give us about the upcoming Server Transfers in terms of servers that will be affected (which ones can go to which and from which to which), a more clear start date for them and why you can't start the process manually like the AP servers had? The populations on the servers that need it most are dismal and they will probably go much quicker than the Asian Pacific ones did since less characters are involved.
  9. I have 3 lvl 50's and another on the way. Most people on dead servers like mine have several 50 alts too. Know why? Cause that's all there is to do. So yeah, not really helpful advice you are handing out there.
  10. Very well structured and concise post Veyl. BTW if you noticed the May 4th Q&A was posted yestderday... Interesting choice of questions to answer there Bioware. I find it funny that they most likely ignored the biggest and most commonly asked questions which were Server Transfers, 1.3, Cross Server Queues, Ranked WZ. Nono guys, don't use your own community response tool to help yourselves and answer questions people actually care about. Stuff like Guild-wide mails? Us dead servers can't even keep a guild together. Guild-wide mail for us would be pretty easy, just send it to that other dude who happens to log on every other weekend. Done The rest was a bunch of rehashed stuff they've beaten dead horse style and people pretty much know the answer to already. Anyhoo, I'll post a progress report later on how my server performed today PVP Queue wise. I'm not expecting much.
  11. 15-20minutes between Queues is bad? I'd kill for that. Try waiting hours between queues and when you're done waiting hours try waiting days.
  12. My biggest question now is how long does this post have to get before we get an updated reply from BW on the situation? People want REAL information and a REAL timeframe. The vague "early summer" timeframe is slap in the face for people who've been sucking it up for the last 2-3 months on dying servers. There's too much speculation and too little factual information to actually work with that it's mind boggling. The conditions on my server, personally are getting worse (I had no idea that was even possible): So last night, we had 1, yeah 1, warzone queue pop up around 11pm est. One... All day. On a Saturday. Before last night I hadn't gotten one since Thursday, which actually for whatever reason had about 5 games. Before that was several days of 1 or 2 per night. Most people I saw logged on, both sides together was around 200 last night.
  13. I agree with the above posts. You're HP and defensive stats are a tad on the low side. The bosses will probably rip you to shreds. Although it's a different type of tank my Dark Assassin has around: HP: 18000 Armor: 6300 Damage Reduction: 44% (ish) Defense Chance: 27% Shield Rate: 34% / 49% (49% is with Dark Ward buff that gives shield rate 15%, 8 stacks worth, each successful shield reduces the stack by one, but it's pretty much spammable so it's always up) Absorb: 41% These stats are from full oranges with purple mods in them; no tion/columi/rakata mods or anything like that. As the others have said, your HP is too low and I'll add your defensive stats are also. Even with my stats I've fudged myself over and died even on the easier HMs. It happens, sometimes the bosses get lucky. The best advice I can give you is: Do your dailies. Get yourself a full set of level 50 Guardian Armorings (126 rating +43 end +40 str) and do the Heroic Daily on Belsavis that rewards the Purple 49 mods. The ones you want are Advanced Robust Mods that have end/will/absorb on them. Then either buy from GTN or find yourself someone with Artifice to make you some Advanced Immunity Enhacements for your gear as well (End/Shield/Def). Also, ignore the rakata earpiece/implants and find yourself some crafted Veracity Implants / Earpiece with augments in them and plop one of each defensive stat aug in each (one def, one shield, one absorb) Buy yourself the PvP Recruit Shield from the fleet, its pretty much one of the best offhand shields you can get unless you can find someone to craft you a Veracity shield as well. Also keep in mind: AFAIK, Defense Chance soft cap is 30%, Shield and Absorb are both 50% (minus the pure increases from skills in your tree or active skills like saber ward I believe) And if you really want to make sure you are prepared get yourself some crafted prototype fortitude mods. They last 2hrs, stay upon death and give you 1040hp +43 defense.
  14. We'll let's take the level 14 single Jedi Knight Lightsaber. The stats on it are something like 21 str 27 end and whatever the attack rating/force power is. Even with purple level 15 mods in an orange lightsaber you can't get stats that come close to these until around 19-21.
  15. Yeah, after posting I went in game to look and I lose a significant amount of damage outside of Shien. The only times I use Soresu in questing is when I'm blasting through H4s. Due to the presence bonus from my other 50's Kira can easily tank her own gold star while I take a different one out (in H4s). I'll stay in Shien like I have been and use Soresu when I need to (pvp situations and H4s) as usual. Like I said my Focus issues are only when I'm in Soresu anyway. I'm going to dump Momentum for now. I need those 2 skill points in Vigilance now to access Tier 4. I shouldn't notice much of a change since Force Sweep will be free all the time instead of Blade Storm being free after a Leap.
