  1. World PvP quests. Make stuns eat up more resolve, and a shorter timer on the stun release cooldown. Thanks! Oh and fix Commando if 2.0 doesn't help.
  2. All Warzones should be cross server. Then everyone could measure.
  3. To me what they created on Ilum is PvE that you can be attacked while doing, which already existed all over the game. It was a lazy effort in regards to PvP in my opinion. If they can't create a true battlezone because of whatever reasons, then their vision for this game with WARS in the title was very shortsighted from the beginning. They need to find a way to implement a battle area we can fight over with meaningful incentives to do it besides just giving us a way to grief players trying to complete quests for shinies that mean nothing other than cosmetic fun. Griefing questers can be fun too, but loses its steam pretty quickly. As far as faction imbalance goes, there are ways to fight that with area limits. They already have a sharding system in place. The new Ilum might be fun for a lot of people. It just isn't what I like about World PvP. And for the people who create PvP events, I applaud them for it. Most of the time I am working when they happen, but you are right that right now that is the best solution for finding World PvP battles.
  4. This might blow your mind, but you can do that almost anywhere else too. But I am not talking about that. I am talking about how it took a year to put out a PvE zone in Ilum instead of a real World PvP battlezone with meaningful objectives. Anyone who has actually played a game with that kind of system would know the difference.
  5. I'd rather deal with the disadvantages of imbalance than a BS PvP zone fighting in lame groups of 4 over PvE objectives. The point of World PvP is the large scope faction battles for me. Without them, it seems pointless and forgettable.
  6. As much as I like killing reds, this Ilum PvP lacks the luster of the true faction battle set up. I agree with you Inat. I found it to be disappointing and haven't been back either. I preferred the original Ilum over this. FFA should be kept in Outlaws Den.
  7. Maybe I am just trying to understand why people shy away from a challenge so much in a video game. I could care less about ego. It's just more fun for me if warzones are close. If you truly see balance in PvP then all the more power to you. But if you knowing play on whatever side that is already stacked to avoid butthurt, then maybe you should look at the coward in the mirror.
  8. Ranked or Regular warzones, both are challenging in their own way. But if you like easy mode, you like easy mode.
  9. lol Seriously though, so many players hate a challenge. This is why they roll fotm profs and side with the stacked faction. Might be because RL is too challenging so they don't want their game to be. Not saying all that currently play Imperial or fotm proffs do for that reason, but many do for sure.
  10. To be fair, you must assume that he was talking for the OWPvP community and not everyone. There are a lot of players who are waiting for this, and sad to say many many more from large guilds that are not subbed anymore, but would likely resub with a decent OW PvP game. Obviously feel free remove yourself from the "we", but I don't think he was speaking for you.
  11. Just this alone would be a massive improvement from nothing at all. I agree.
  12. Yes. Our guild has 2 players that live in Australia. They both have geared lvl 50 toons they want to transfer off the dead oceanic servers. They like the game, but want to play with people. Please be nice and let them move.
  13. Yes!! Keep the hubs on the planets...maybe give more reasons for fights to break out on Nar Shaada like the live event did. MORE LIVE EVENTS!!
  14. This. People are even playing LOTRO for the Open World PvP over TOR. There are guilds with hundreds of players that left because of the Open World fail, but I know many would love to come back if there was some kind of Open World game.
  15. It IS much better. It would just be nice to at least have a system in place that gives you reason to World PvP beyond just the fun so more people would do it. Bring daily weekly kill quests that reward you with comms that you can use to buy Warzone comms to get gear or shinies. It can't be that hard. Plus, if they really have trouble with lag/area stability, make the world PvP area its own server, with shards for overloading, that you can port to if you want to World PvP. A large Warzone in a sense that times out after an hour or 30 mins, or when the battle is won. I know this is possible.
  16. I think shelving World PvP is a mistake. A solid Open World PvP system would satisfy a large player base. This unites guilds, communities and factions more than anything in MMOs. Hopefully Ilum will satisfy for a while until you can get your &%&! together. Lots of players have been patiently waiting for this already and I doubt many will wait much longer.
  17. Anytime you are on a team that is outplayed and outclassed, you will feel like certain classes are OP and people are bad. Yes, certain classes might need to be tweaked, but overall the game has good class balance. It's just easier to complain than improve.
  18. I knew it!!!! miss BARB! Send him a modern gaming computer!
  19. Not from what I've seen lately. Of course there are occasional bad streaks, but mostly I have been seeing wins. Regardless, whining about it helps nothing. If you are so good, take the lead and start a Republic vent or try to lead in ops. Even if players don't listen and play horribly, it takes patience to lead. You could also recruit your own Ranked Warzone team. Otherwise, deal with it. It's just the luck of the draw.
  20. I think this is more than about strategy. Losing control of your toon for such a long duration reduces the amount of fun you have in PvP. People work hard to build their characters up only to be controlled to death. Yes, I am going to say it. SWG had maybe 1 or 2 stuns, a stasis for medics, and a root and a snare. The PvP in SWG was FUN. The rest was about actual fighting. TOR just doesn't need this much CC. You can have a strategic game without CC dominating the field. Crowd control should be minimal and used more strategically instead of such a constant. Reduce the stun times, mezz times, only give each class one stun with longer cooldowns, reset of CC break at death....whatever it takes. Just make it less about CC and more about getting the beat on the enemy and executing teamwork. CC has its place, but it shouldn't dominate the game. Just to be clear, I am not personally complaining for the game to be more fair to me. I just notice how many people hate it that play. People want to play the game, not go make a sandwich waiting for all the stuns to end just to die and respawn. Figure out other ways to make the game more strategic. If this game as a whole focused more about being fun, , there might be more subscribers. Fix it somehow, but fix it.
  21. I think there would be a lot more good healers if more other players would learn to protect them. This might be why so many have quit or switched to DPS. It can be very frustrating to heal when all you can do is try to stay alive. All it would take is a peel or a stun or some focus on the healer stalkers to help keep your healer alive and free to heal the group. I know the good groups usually have 1 or 2 in the group whose job is to keep people off the healer, and I don't just mean putting guard on him.
  22. I was going to say something, but you did it for me. Vega is just mad because he hasn't found his 11th guild yet.
  23. Lately it hasn't been so bad. I have been on the winning team more than not. I think it just depends on you run of luck.
