  1. HM BT.. the easiest HM FP and you need 14k hp to DPS? LOL. If you have 14k+ hp already as dps, it means you have some purples and you may not need HM BT anymore. LOL. Orange gear like the gear from normal D7, FE, Battle of Ilum and Kaon is enough for fresh level 50 to beat HM BT. I was under 14k hp a week ago as DPS as I just turned 50 last week. I admit my hp was low. I should not allow myself to get hit coz I would die in few hits. But sometimes s*hit happens like when I am grouped with a noob tank who has awesome purple gear but doesnt know how to secure aggro especially when I bring out my cd's from abilities, relics or adrenals with matching crits after crits. I shouldnt be hit by mobs if my tank knows how to play his role. Unfortunately, theres no damage meters or combat logs to show people that I am right. So they wont believe me. Yeah, it's hard to group with noob PuGs. BTW, just to clarify that it doesnt mean I would die as soon as I steal aggro from noob tanks. I have what we call force cloak as assassin. I am hard to kill in PvE like my hunter from WoW. You should have seen my Hunter wearing leather instead of mail armor back in BC and still complete heroics without a single death. In fact, I never get hit by the AoE of the last boss of HM BT. Thats why I dont need hp as dps. I think I have beaten HM BT 5 times now since last week becoz of the dailies. Unfortunately, my hp is now 15k + coz I completed normal EV too with lucky drops for me. Yeah, my guild brought me there with my entry level hp and I was fine. BTW, I am a veteran in raid/FPs due to my hardcore experience in WoW. Everything I said above may not be applicable for new MMO DPS players.
  2. In WoW, I have come across with some ***** thru inter-server. I usually tell my group what my intentions at start. If they dont like it, they just have to tell me and I would leave so as not to waste my time to avoid them from becoming ***** at the middle of the dungeon. But if they still become a dick at the end of the run, I usually confront them by making a toon on their server and follow them to their guild leader. Summoning stone or direct teleport to the dungeon is fine for me. I am tired of teaching noobs where to find where Boarding Party, Kaon UnderSiege and False Emperor. Eventually, people would learn the maps. But I have another concern, my fleet-pass is on cd and they want me to do flashpoint. I am tired of going back to my stupid ship and wait for the animations, blah blah... just port me to directly to the flashpoint. Just imagine if WoW has no such feature. You dont want to fly from one side to the other side of the map. LOL. Even WoW fails on this. It doesnt matter in there. Coz when I bring my hunter, DK loot drops. And when I bring my DK, hunter loot drops. It's always like that. LOL.
  3. I am a casual gamer and I love 5-man dungeons in WoW and 4-man flashpoints here in SWTOR. In WoW, all my toons leveled up from dungeons... all got the dungeonmaster achievement for completing all the dungeons even before reaching the max level. And a week after at max level, all my toons got heroic dungeonmaster. It was so easy. I just queue. Here in SWTOR, yup I leveled up on flashpoints. But as I get near level 50, it gets harder and harder to get a group. I remember in WoW, when I got a group from queue. I rarely see somebody from my realm. When ZA/ZG came out, same thing... I rarely see someone from my realm. No wonder I cant see someone in there having the Warbear mount that I had until after a month or 2. So here in SWTOR, I expect it to be the same. It's gonna be hard to get a group from my realm. I need LFG queues ... plus queues through inter-server. Honestly, I've been grouping to the same people over and over. And when they dont show up, it's really freaking hard to get a replacement. I want to do LFM from other realms.
  4. Thats what you get when you skip FPs. Yeah, loots for normal Battle of Ilum, FE, D7 and Kaon sucks when you've been level 50 for a long time. Coz these FPs are like for level 47. What FP before those? It's Red Reaper... the FP that I farmed from level 44 to 47. Why is it the higher the level we are, the lesser chance we get a group for FP? Why is it freaking hard to get a group when we get to higher levels and so easier to get group at low level? Becoz at low level, you can bring a high level people to carry you. Guess what, when you are near 50 ready for FE, D7, Battle of Ilum and Kaon, a level 50 doesnt want to carry you through it. Coz they suck, they chicken out, they dont want to be embarassed as they cant really carry you as they (most of them) HAVE NO EXPERIENCE ON FP. Most people skipped doing FP while leveling. Thats my frustration when I failed to get a group at level 47... spending time in Ilum, Corellia and Imperial Fleet looking for group for these normal FPs. I even put in general chat in Imperial Fleet.. "Why do level 50s chicken out on Directive 7, Kaon and the likes?". I got no answer. LOL. Maybe I am right. I waited my friends to level up for me to do these FP... my friends whom I grouped with from Colicoid and Red Reaper. You know what, my group from level 47 to fresh 50 pwned D7. FE, battle of Ilum and Kaon... Now, the same group wont do these FPs again coz loots in there wont upgrade us anymore. We are now farming its HM version. BTW, fyi, the last boss of Normal Kaon drops purple.
  5. Do you know that level 50 FP's (which is like level 47s to me) like Directive 7, Battle of Ilum, False Emperor and Kaon Under Siege can be done before level 50? After you pwned Red Reaper from level 44 to 47, I believe you could start doing the said level 50 FPs. Me, I completed Directive 7 and Battle of Ilum when I was level 49 coz I cant find a freaking group since level 47. But I was able to beat Kaon on my first day as 50 and False Emperor too on the next day. The gear loot to me was fine. BTW, Kaon normal dropped an epic at the end. If you've been level 50 for a while with level 49 Corellia's and GTN mods, you should be doing HM FPs. The level 50 normal FPs are for level 47 to FRESH 50s.
  6. It's Boarding Party and Foundry for the empire instead of Taral V and Maelstorm which is from Republic. Yup you have to finish Boarding party before doing the Foundry. I have dealt with this when I was level 29 to 35. Not actually on me but the PuG member we recruited who wants to do Foundry but never finished Boarding Party. We ran Boarding Party for him so that we could do Foundry with him. On HM, it wont bother me since I did them in normal mode.
  7. I understand your pain. On me, I started not to care when Blizzard released WoTLK with Naxxramas 25-man. Cmon, I have been doin Naxxramas 40 man in classics and they put it back? I understand very very few were able to touch Naxx 40 back then. I remember only 3 to 4 guilds on my realm were able to experience the content. The rest havent even touched or completed AQ40. I just realized from thereon that Blizzard wants the contents to be accessible to majority. It attracted casual players. But it hurts hardcore players who cherish hard-earned accomplishments. Guess what, Bioware is using the same Blizzard's recipe.
  8. Maybe Hello Kitty Island Adventure works for you. LOL. Some people are hard to please. Blizzard made a giant step to make MMO fun with WoW. Bioware just used the same recipe but put Star Wars flavor and it became SWTOR. These games are good. Many are pleased with it. Of course, some MMO players grew tired of it. Me too, I was once a fanatic hardcore raider since Naxxramas 40 man era, to Lich King. But when Cata came, honestly, I grew tired of it... same grindings, endless repetitions, etc. I just stopped coz I dont want it anymore. Now, in SWTOR, I just wanna taste it. After going through the content, very soon I would get tired of it. I am just here until Blizz releases Diablo 3. Maybe I would come back to StarCraft2 too when they release the Zerg expansion. My niece is also asking me to come back to WoW on the next Panda expansion. Bioware has to step up on competing against Blizzard. Well, we will see. But for now, I wanna redo Kaon undersiege... those mercenaries, screamers and plaguebringers are epic. LOL.
  9. Interrupts are required. When Ikoral brings in his 2 adds, the 2 adds starts immuning Ikoral and themselves. To break the immunity, you have to interrupt the adds and let Ikoral's force lightning hit the adds to kill them. Force lightning alone cant kill the adds. You have to dispel the immunity of the adds too. Some flashpoints requires something to beat it. That fight in Red Reaper, interrupts is a must. 2-manning flashpoints is not recommended if its not Black Talon. Lets have Colicoid Wargame for an example, it requires 4 people to man the 4 turrets. Good luck if you cant use all 4 turrets.
  10. Wall of text crits me for 40k damage. I think this guide works. Sorry, I am bored. LOL.
  11. I know misdirection and I know feign death since I am an uber hunter in WoW. Here in SWTOR, I an an Assassin and I have a FORCE CLOAK. It puts me out of combat and I believe it erases my threat. I think I am fine without Threatmeter mod. I remember in one of the WoW fights where tank has to face the dragon away from the party so that its dragonbreath would not hit the party. I had my threatmeter silenced back then and I just went nuts with my DPS enabling all my cd's at the same time. I mistakenly exceeded my tank's threat and the dragon turned to me and threw out his breath to my direction. It killed half of our raid party. LOL. Since then, I never silenced my threatmeter again. Since this game is missing combat logs and some features, I can blame the tank for his poor threat and get away with it even if it's my fault.. Who can tell who is right or wrong? I want combat logs to pinpoint who messes around in my raid.
  12. I am a fresh level 50 player and I did all the flashpoints while leveling up. While Colicoid Wargame and Directive 7 were once my favorite, after doing Kaon, Kaon became my favorite. Gotta love those bloaters, screamers and mercenaries. They are epic. I wish I have tons of cc abilties like my hunter in WoW. Cant wait to do it again... in HM.
  13. Yes I am a PvE'er... a DPS and very very good at it from my WoW experience (from Classics to Cata). How can I help and tell which spec needs boosting? This d amn game needs combat logs and damage meters so I could tell you which of our specs need boosting. I can tell lie and tell you this specs is the best but without seeing numbers on the screen, I would just be a theorycrafter. I am no Tank with my current specs. Thats not what I rolled for. But if you want me to carry the group in DPS to defeat bosses with enrage timers, that's where I should excel. Gimme damage meters coz right now I am just nobody without it like everyone else.
  14. Here's my comments on PvE. In depends on your definition of PvE. Assassins are not weak in PvE. We have problems with that kind of Survivability if we face mobs toe to toe. You should know that Assassins can escape fights with our force cloaks... and thats something that I can brag. How many Flashpoint wipes did I survive? Sorry I am onlyfresh 50 havent done Operations yet but I have beaten all flashpoints of my level while leveling including my recent Battle of Ilum, Directive 7 and Kaon normals. How much armor repair did I save? I have tons coz I really seldom die unless I get 1 shot killed. Do I have problems with PvE mobs? I just CC them all and kill them one by one. Elite with 2 adds? Kill the 2 adds fast then force cloak to retreat and heal then come back to spank the boss. Thats using a DPS companion. When I use Talos, everything becomes easy mode. This game doesnt have damage meters. We cant display how good we can be on this department. I dont know about Deception but it seems my Madness DPS is above average. We do have problems on final boss... it's the survivability when we fight Boss toe to toe. But if we just bring our pocket healer companion, that final boss fight is a joke. If you use your Marauder playstyle with your Assassin, your assassin would die. But if you play the right playstyle of an Assassin, everthing on PvE side is easy.
  15. It all depends on what you can handle. Make your class quest your guide to which planet to level up. Some people can handle 4 levels below the planet requirement. There are several ways to level up. One way is through PvP. One way is through FPs. And one way is through Quests. Choose which ones more fun to you. On me, I am more of a PvE type. So I did all flashpoints while leveling... doing the FP with 2 to 3 levels below FP's required level. But it's freaking hard to get groups as my level goes higher. FP has XP, gear, commendations... and gave me an upper hand when I started heroic mode at 50 after mastering the normal mode versions.
