I have not played in probably two+ weeks, though the last time I was on and checked my guild most players hadn't been on in 20+ days. Some might have been alts, though we had over 125+ members and I say a good 60-70% hadn't logged on in awhile. I have no idea if they jumped ship to another toon/game I can't say. I do know at peak times WZ ques were long even at the 10-49 bracket. We had maybe 20-30 Imperial 50s and about 5-20 players max per zone after Taris. I quit at level 48 and haven't been back on since.

I agree, I have been a gamer all my life, but everything needs to be in moderation. You can get very obsessive over things. There is so much available in life why waste it staring at a screen. I guess this is why I have fallen away from MMOs, none can really hold my attention. I play a match or two of BF3 now and usually jump off. I have other interest at the moment though. To his/her their own. Though I think everyone should get out more. This is a large reason obesity is becoming a "epidemic" in the US. I live in MS the fattest or one of the top five in the US. It saddens me to see people younger than me (I am 22) severely over weight with high blood pressure and other problems. I have a few friends like this. Lets see, I cooked breakfast, mmmm eggs. Then I decided to go for my morning run not to long not to short and since today is my day off from work and school I finished up my last draft of my paper for Literature. I then cooked lunch after eating, I washed some clothes and cleaned up around the house. Soon after I decided I wanted to take my dog out so me and him (half lab half husky named Julio) played for awhile I came in logged into the forums while playing my US Masters Custom Legrand. I laughed a little cried a little at the forums then went to the gym. After all that and typing this up I realized I never made it to 50 and still had post privileges since my Gamecard hasn't run out yet. My fiance was very happy the house was clean. My dog was happy he got to play. I was happy I didn't waste my time looking at a computer screen for 90% of the day. People go out have fun live life. It comes once you don't get a second chance unless your Buddhist and believe in reincarnation which I have the utmost respect for all religions. One day the servers will shut down no matter how great the game is. Yes even Wow's servers will shut down and a year later no one will care that you did these amazing things in a game. As my cousin said, " You can cut a server off and delete all my characters, but you can't cut a server off and delete my Les Paul." Will do, I didn't think about trying windowed mode. I normally hate it. I will also try resetting the UI.

Also another thing I noticed was weapons would load, yet character models wouldn't. So I would have a floating double-bladed lightsaber attacking me.

I have tried changing a few settings and in the fleet I will see a bump. I think I am playing on medium settings and I am not sure what is on or not. I know conversation dept and bloom are off and low. I believe shadow is off.

I appreciate you help and thank you for the information. I have cleaned all vents and fans in my laptop I also use a cooling pad that keeps my temperatures in and around 80-85C. I have had 3+ people at my house playing wow and netflix streaming on my xbox 360 and have had no issues. I also did a destructive recovery on both hard drives before I re installed it. I re-installed all updates and the game. I uninstalled all unnecessary software and restarted in a clean boot. Their is nothing running the in the background. I installed from a disk so I didn't even have to come to the website to download it. I have no idea what the issue is. I just played Blood Line Champions with no problems then switched to Battlefield 3. My temps maxed out at 87C.

I am a computer science major and have a buddy that is a Network Engineer for 15 years check it out. I am on a secured wireless network with no way for anyone else to get on it. I live alone so no one else is ever on my connection. I have changed out routers with no avail. I have connected through a Ethernet and yet again nothing. Like I said I can play a number of other games with no lag nor latency problems. I am not claiming I know everything about computer nor am I saying I am a expert. I just don't see how is it my issue as I don't lag on any other game and when I played wow I was on a west coast server (I am in Southern Mississippi) now I play on a east coast in SWTOR and it get lag. I am not comparing the two games I know SWOTOR is new. Also I see no lag on my Xbox 360 playing live. Battlefield 3 online runs with out a hitch so does other games. I will get a buddy to come over tomorrow and check his laptop and see if it is my internet.

It could be my connection though I doubt it. I have no idea what the issue is. Though I have canceled my sub and will probably delete the game again. I hate too after spending another fifteen dollars on it.

I agree, I mean I don't understand how Battlefield 3 with 64 players, tanks, vehicles, jets, and helicopters. Can run better than this game. I am not bashing I just want to be able to play the game like I paid to do. I would much rather log in and PvP than quest or run a scripted dungeon. I am level and have no desire to re-roll or even quest. I just feel like I wasted fifteen dollars.

Hey, thanks for the reply. My laptop is not under warranty so I disassembled it myself and cleaned it out wasn't hard just have to be careful. My temps average about 80°c with my laptop cooler on and fans at 50% or so. I believe I am running DX11 on my laptop I will try the DX9.0 did you delete DX11? Laptop is plugged in battery charged and in performance mode TwinTurbo mode is on also I will also look for that video. Again, Thank you for the reply.

Yes, before my temps would get very high also. I have a cooling pad under my laptop and it is 65°f-70°f in my house. My temps hoover around 80°C hardly ever gets higher than 85°C now. I have cleaned all vents and fans inside the laptop and it has good airflow.

I am thinking it is more of a issue with ATI cards/drivers and this game. As my buddy has the exact same rig as me(different model Asus), but the NVIDA equivalent of my graphics card and runs way smoother than me. I know it is not my rig, though as I stated before I have no issues with any other games. This and the fact that you are also having trouble with this game and you are also running a ATI card. I wonder how many others that are lagging are running ATI cards.

Ok, So I just restarted my sub to give the game one last shot I wanted to be fair and give it a chance. After playing for a few minutes I qued up for a warzone and it popped almost instantly. The first one was Alderaan and though I like this one I couldn't play it. The lag was evident in the first few seconds when I tried to click on the speeder to go down and it took more than 30 seconds to even register and show me leaving. The second warzone was Voidstar, now this one was not as bad as Alderaan, but the lag was still there and noticeable. It is almost impossible for me to be competitive in Pvp as a Sith Sin and lag like I do. I am running a Asus G73jh: Intel quad-core I7 1.6ghz over-clocked to 2.6ghz 8 gigs of DDR3 ram Ati Radeon Mobility HD 5870 Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Comcast 15+mbps connection with a Netgear router I have reflashed my BIOS and Video BIOS for the ATI issue. Have all drivers updated even tried rolling them back. I have all ports open through my router. No firewall/AV stopping anything. I have tried doing a Clean Boot. Tried using a buddies internet. I have done almost everything I can think of to fix this issue that I only have on this game. I can play Battlefield 3, Wow, Batman Arkham Asylum with no issues. Company Of Heros, Sid Meier's Civilization V, The Witcher 1 and 2 all max settings with no issues/problems. I can't get over 30 fps on the fleet and load times are horrible going to planets. I am not a huge PvEr anymore, I don't even like the quest in this game and really just wanted to PvP on my Sin, but due to lag I can't. I normally have 50-60ms on the server and during warzones less than 12 fps. TL;DR: Y U Lag N Warzones SWTOR? Any suggestions on a fix?

I agree with the OP on almost all points. I unsubscribed and finally just deleted the game all together. Now there will always be people who go "OMGZ L2P NEWB. GET THE F OFF WE DONT NEEDZ YOU!!!!111!!1!!!!!! Well when the majority of people can't play the game due to game breaking lag like me (and no it is not my pc). When the pvp is Huttball and only Huttball. When you can't even get into a pvp match with out been kicked. A story line can carry a game so far and to be honest my inquisitor quest line was predictable after very early on and continues to be. Now you say every game has bugs etc at launch.. Have you ever stopped and thought that is due to fanbois like you allowing companies to launch have finished games for $$$$$. I understand certain bugs will always exist, but the fact that my Quad core I5 2.6ghz 8 gigs of ram and Ati Radeon HD5870 (1gig) card gets 5 fps in warzones and **** in others is a problem.. Also, yes this game won many awards, but it is not game critics that populate the many realms it is normal players. Go check out Meta Critic which gave this game 86 critic, and 6.0 user.. Reminds me of another game.. what was it? Oh, yeah MW3.... Low pop realms = long ques at night..
