  1. Here are some serious tips: 1. If you have spare money buy at least three things at start: Buy the cartel pack that has legacy vehicle travel unlock and rocket boosts in it Buy Treek Buy a Cartel Weapon for which class you pick These are keys to a quick and speedy experience that is rewarding! Next, if you have a few coins left over, once you unlock your legacy around level 10, go into the first tab, and unlock as many of the "Experience - Flashpoint " boosts as possible. From here this is what you are going to do - Make sure (if subscriber) that you always log out in a rest area (gives something like double experience) Once you hit level 15 This is what you do!!!!!! Group finder (attached to minimap) que constantly for KDY (Kuat Drive Yards) This is a group dungeon repeatable experience implemented to help players level QUICKLY so they can enjoy the game to its fullest extent. Within 48 hrs of constant farming etc u will hit 55 with 1 exp to go till 56. This instance is IMPORTANT because it bolsters your gear to 55!!! This means you do NOT have to reqequip yourself or your companion AT ALL. If you get bored at 48+ you can do two things that I suggest doing at least one: 1. Dailys begin around here, do a forum search, these are repeatable world quests. keep in mind u will need gear outside KDY or 2. Do Makeb quests, they added a bolster and healer droid to get all players from 47-55 with ease. Once u do all of this, Purchase Shadows of Revan and spend a night going from 56-60 (super easy and solo mode bolster) Save all Commendations till u hit 60 for lv 186 gear, and do weeklys for your companion gears at 60. Enjoy. Also Jedi Guardians are fun tanky/dps classes, Jedi Shadow are perma stealth and great dps and awesome for new players Sith Sorcerors are fun and massive dmg, Bounty Hunters are killin it atm If you like heals, try Jedi Sage Personally I play Jedi Sentinel, nothing but fun wielding 2 lightsabers Good Luck and MTFBWY

  3. Yes but not really worth it, legacy level only provides so much of a benefit..
  4. Depends on if you are a new player or not. Are you new to MMOs and SWTOR? If so then it will be hard while you face the learning curve. However, let it be said that out of all the MMOs this is by far the easiest one to play. It is still in its vanilla condition and give or take two more years it will be moving along really steadily. As far as what you can do, most of the previous posters have valid, non need to repeat points. Gear is essential, and utilizing orange modable gear starting at lv1 is crucial. As you level, just put new mods in your oranges that match your class stat and do KDY from 15-56 and revan exp from 56-60. Can easily go from lv1 to lv60 in two to three days time max. Use your companions, especially a healer one depending which you have access to, join a guild, and if you have a couple of dollars, get Treek. Treek > all other companions. If you do KDY companions dont matter, but if you are doing story mode, they make all the difference. A well geared (get oranges as well) companion is the difference between life and death. Also this is a mmo. Its meant to be played in a group. if you are having a hard time, ask people to team up and make friends, thats how we did it back in the day in beta and pre/launch. Soloing is usually for alts after you have millions of creds and a main character levelled and geared.
  5. Yes, but you would have to evaluate the cost and worth. First and foremost, if you are level 49-53, Id suggest just levelling to max level and not worrying about mods. If you are not doing KDY till 56, u can just do makeb that gives you bolster from 47-55 and then head into Revan content that gives free modded gear that covers you up into 60 and then more new 60 stuff comes from basic COMMS (save ALL your comms till 60!) Also yes you can, and as the previous responder stated, you can rip mods, but they are bound. If placed in legacy armor, you can then send the legacy armor to alts, and then either equip the legacy gear on them, or rip the mods (which in turn places you in a double cost of ripping twice) which is why it usually is not worth it. Save your comms till 60!!!! Also if you are subscriber and start the revan expansion after subbing, u get 300 free basic comms per toon.
  6. My heroic moment used to be UBER badazz back in the day, and is now totally bugged and nerfed back to oblivion. I worked hard to get it to where it was and now its at its generic state while having all my classes and companions unlocked on multiples and am a subscriber. Hope it gets fixed soon.....
  7. Based on your question, Bounty Hunter is the way to go, all the way. Though operative is fun too. Also Operative gives a nice legacy attack but lost something cool in recent update.

  9. Greetings everyone! For those of you that do not know, there is reports of a new legacy perk being added this tuesday. It is a slightly useful skill, however the problem is the cost with unlocking it. This thread is to simply request that Tuesday's addition have it's cost lower that on the test servers. Curently the Legacy Perk allows you to "Summon Mount while Moving", and works similar to how the Rocket shoes work. This can be a useful skill, especially in pvp. However it's astronomical cost, and only per character, makes it highly less valuable. Current cost: 2million credits / 400 cc PER CHARACTER (no legacy wide unlock available) Suggested change: 500K Credits / or 125 CC single or 400 CC account wide Thanks and hope we can get this change in time for tuesday! -Yespa MTFBWY
  10. Hello and good evening to all. For those of that do not know me, I am Yespa, originally from the CHilastra server in SWG. I've been with the community since day 1 and worked on the previous mmo in a variety of roles, both community and administratively. I've been here since beta, and been following this game since it was announced with great anticipation. I've also been involved with World of Warcraft for ages, and Final Fantasy 11 as an English community leader for some time. I also spent time with the Clone Wars MMO browser game from launch to shutdown. Its a pleasure to be here, and I have enjoyed many of the different aspects of this game. Everything can be criticized, but overall the game has been interesting, and although Galaxies is a personal favorite, I do enjoy the character depth and customization available. Following are a list of observations, suggestions and hopes, and maybe, just maybe, some of this will make it through. In no specific order; 1. Customizable Mounts 2. World PvP Events & Separate Rewards 3. X/Y/Z Axis Decor and movable hooks 4. Daily Terminal in Strongholds 5. Appearance Gear 6. Add custom slot for utility gear 7. More quick bars, or ability to bind keys to ability menu items 8. Ability (if possible) to "Create" waypoints 9. Some sort of update to make old companions relevant 10. Possibly add ability to utilize the companions of alts 11. Increase group size to 5 or preferably 6 12. Add a pvp dueling system into the ranked/unranked system 13. Have your alignment affect certain abilities 14. Add some sort of affinity system, where the more time spent with specific companion increases their combat skills 15. Add multi-player affinities and guild member affinities. More time spent with certain players/members unlocks skills and/or increases certain combat skills 16. Add in special achievement system that has special requirements (ie beat x boss in x flashpoint in under x time) 17. Provide a way to engage in the appearance modification station for credits as well. 18. Provide new Legacy and Unique clothing options INGAME and not just from endgame content and Cartel please. 19. Research ability to be able to party with opposite factions in new content. 20. Have a rotating schedule in which old cartel packs are routinely added. 21. Fix the bubble butt jedi look for once and for all! 22. Fix the Cape and Vehicle visual bug, where it hangs outside the seat of the vehicle please! So most of these are straight forward, however a couple need to be expanded upon. 1. If you are a vehicle connoisuer such as myself, you will eventually notice that vehicle have slight difference in their turn ratios and size does matter at times. This was interesting, and increases my desire to own at least one of each skin to get a feel for each. SO what I am suggesting, as I did after launch, is that vehicle be able to be custom fitted with a variety of mods that increase a variety of different statistics. Such as max speed, yaw/pitch/roll speeds, higher armor, higher health, and other ideas are welcome. Maybe dding ability to finally have two people in one vehicle (i know the game engine makes this difficult), or to add automatic weapons to a vehicle or who knows, can be creative here. 2. World PvP objectives and rewards separate. The pvp in world is quite weak at the moment, and in previous mmo's the dev team took a path to overcome this. Specific planets were given zones to have faction specific goals that needed to be maintained at any given time, and had pve environments based on which side controlled what. On top of this, rare stuff could be found and thus only the controlling faction would have access to said rewards at any given time. This can be greatly developed and would give the pvp and casual pve players some new interesting ways to interact with the environment. Another thought, is there is not much to world pvp at the moment. Besides the random camper, pvp is a 20 second thing. One person dies, and rezzs the other drives off and life continues as normal. What if we were to implement some sort of world pvp reward system, that did not just include objectives similar to guild conquest, but pvp specific (world pvp comms for example). It would need development time, but you could add in a reward system, either by planet or in total that rewarded many different, enjoyable things. Also, unlike many other games, there is no way to "invade" the capital areas of each faction. What about adding into the game PvP Operations? 5. Appearance Gear- this is something that happens in most mmo's around this time of development and player desire. Allow us to equip appearance gear OVER our equipped gear. This will both boost cartel market sales and interest, as well as preventing a serious sink of credits in mod switching. This would be a major hit with players, and was in each and every other game that did it! 6. Add a player customized gear slot. Previously we had cool stuff like rebreathers that allowed us to enter into restricted areas in a game that would otherwise kill us via the environment. We already have some fun tools like the CVVS and we could examine and create a full utility "batman belt" of useful things for both pve and pvp. That about sums it up, the othr topics are self-explanatory to anyone familiar with the game. I hope that some of these get some traction and make it into the game, it would help alot to increase the enjoyment of the game, as it is a mmo for fact, and not just a story driven single player!   11. Another Alternative which I am hoping to see happen, like it did in the previous swg mmo and others, is the rise of appearance gear, over equipped gear. This would solve this problem as we could just equip whichever appearance suited our fancy while keeping a set of modded legacy gear under it.
  12. Yes please to the OP. This is an absurd amount of credit sinks, and if they were willing to remove cost of training, why not mod costs, as they cause greater loss over time.

Since the runes are the sole reason I sought them, i am a bit distraught that there are no ways to aceess them. Thanks for your suggestions, as I have pieces from those two sets already in my loadout!

I also forgot to mention the following, please feel free to add it to the list: Voss Dailys Multi-Planet GSI Dailys Now for all of the original Dailys posted earlier (except basic belsavis and rishi) there is a teleporter located on each planet and Fleet that makes for ease of transporting between planets and for free. Besids these, you also have: Group Finder Weekly Flashpoint Weekly Operation Weekly Pvp Daily Pvp Weekly World Boss Weekly Probably a bunch of others Im forgetting to mention from fleet! Now the Voss Dailys are pretty time consuming, and not worth doing everyday, but if you want to max the rep, do what I did. I would log in tuesdays after reset and do the voss weekly on all my toons which would cap rep for the week. GSI dailys are super time consuming, but after you have done all of the above and still have time outside pvp or raids, do GSI dailys. Theres some nice rewards from the rep vendor, and if you follow the story part, you can get dreadseed and star forager armor and titles. Enjoy!

  17. Another awesome quality to strongholds is that you get ALOT of teleport options for free. Unlimited as well. You can effectively instant travel to your stronghold from anywhere, and then right back to where you were standing, or right to your ship or fleet! No need for travel abilities anymore unless you tele straight to oricon etc, but now dont need fleet transport cd's

There have been some amazing updates, and missed out on a few nice ones.   20. Yes 500k in under two hours at 60 is super easy. I run my main and two alts each day through dailys (roughly 5 hrs or so and come out with well over a million credits just from doing missions and loot sales. You make even more now since there is least likely chance of repairs except from fall damage - if u want to take certain paths or get bored lol. On top of that, make good use of your gathering skills on each player. I have slicing + 1 gather and 1 craft on each of these, thus making even more. The order I find best is: (any daily u stilll need rep for goes first) Then in order of easiest versus best cash gain: CZ198 Oricon Black Hole Makeb Ilum Yavin 4 Section X Rishii Belsavis I dont think I missed any, but that should be it. Keep in mind there are certain mechanics in the new zones that make old dailys such as belsavis not worthwhile anymore. An example would be slicing in the temple map on yavin. Can easily make more than belsavis in less time. Good luck!

  22. Also could we fix the Corellian Stardrive Flash? Players with Cloak animations etc have the cloaks hanging through the bottom of the vehicle! Thanks! This was an issue with the Korrealis Commanders back in the day so probably same tweak to fix it!

  24. Conceptual Ideas: 1. Add a series of "Faction neutral" classes. - Bio-Engineer: A player who uses ranged weapons and/or melee weapons, however their special use is that they create Pets with which they can fight with. This could be an opportunity to add the ability to have multiple party members out, and i nthe case of a bio-engineer, multiple pets. They could also include the ability to make pets for other players and have an intrinsic bio-engineering system. This would bring back a quantifiable, and attract a similar amount of player interest and is a deeply intricate system that could go the way of pet creation and collection dynamics. -Interstellar Privateer (or similar name) A cross-over between Smuggler & Bounty Hunter. A truly neutral pistol wielding b/a! -Force Mystic (type of force adept) One who utilizes the Force in unique, yet undeveloped ways and primarily relies on heavy melee weapondy to get the job done. Could be a cross over between Consular, Knight and Sorceror. - The Scholar or Politician, a purely social or crafting oriented hero with limited combat capability (other ideas of course welcome!) -- 2. A new form of pvp warzone opportunities, make an expansion of zones that pit light side versus dark side. Regardless of faction, the teams can be qued randomly and combined based on their light/dark affiliation! With those that are near or are neutral in alignment being able to be randomly placed on either side, or on a third side ! --- 3. Addition of backpacks, both visually and organizationally. Allow at least one backpack with excellent graphical benefits to be equipped and provide additional functional storage space! This was and is a huge addition to the graphical appearances of star wars fans characters that is missing. -- 4. Regardless if #1 can be included or not, create some new crew skills or a whole new crafting function entirely based on bio-engineering. This could create the ability to have for example, 1 companion and 1 pet summoned at any given time for combat and/or rp functions. We could create and store x amount in our player housing, and have 2 equipped at any given time, allowing us to rotate as needed. The customization and crafting process can be effectively maximized making for some very rare creatures, abilities and combinations such that an increasingly complex system could be introduced for player fun and longevity. Would also give greater depth to the creature and world databases than already exists. --- 5. Bring bac k for a limited time certain expired items and their available windows (Korrealis for example) and the old lightsaber crystal vendor. Some of these mounts go for exhorbitant prices (40million for one) and it would be great Justice to the everyday, and newly recruited player to be able to once again access these and not just the reskins! --
