No. The resolve system seems clever and almost works but not quite. I get stunned for 4 seconds (does everyone have one of these) and eat some damage from 1-3 players for 4 seconds. Now i am at somewhere between 0-60% health. I push one button and get stunned again. I use my break free ability. I am now at around 0-30% health. I am immune to cc for 2 seconds. Yippie!

I am 35 on my trooper at this time and am playing the level 35 version of the build. It seems like it is reasonably hard for one person to kill me but I get absolutely decimated if I become a popular target (3 people will kill me in a few cooldowns), which I often do since I'm in melee range and jumping into back lines and such. At one point in the video you show some impressive durability, near the end. I wonder if it isn't as much gear imbalance as anything or that a combat log would give some interesting information, if one existed. Agian, it is the warhammer memories that fuel my annoyance. I find it frustrating that dps can pick me as a target in a care free manner.

Do you really find vanguard durability to be that great? I can notice a small difference in some situations but I get destroyed under any focus fire or if I use guard aggressively. I was hoping for more of a warhammer feel where, if I don't want to do much damage, I can focus on a disruptive and support play-style. I guess this is what we get when shields don't do much in pvp.

It seems they are and the are also running premades and learning how to exploit the bolster mechanics. The first few days (week?) since the bracket split was great. Now the games seem either auto-win or auto-lose.
