Okay, I'm seeing a lot of people here not getting it. So I'll explain. Luke very nearly did give into the Dark Side. That was the point of the entire scene. It was Luke's struggle to redeem his Father and not fall himself. He gave into his emotions, realised what he was doing and stopped.
/sigh. These Mandalorians are a seperate faction, merely calling themselves the true Mandalorians. The "real" Mandalorians you all know and love are all off somewhere else doing Mandalorian things.
Very much agree, but I might mention that blaster shots actually move at a slower rate than bullets. Judging by the evidence in the movies (G-canon) it's actually possible for a non-force sensitive to dodge blaster bolts, albeit with very good reflexes and a bit of luck. I'm no expert, but I think most bullets travel faster than the speed of sound, which is near-impossible to dodge unless you're Neo or something.
Honsestly, the Republic stories are boring. I mean, most of them are about politics. In all honesty, so are the Sith stories, but Sith politics are interesting. There's betrayal, paranoia, constant suspicion. It makes for a good plot.
I'm personally a fan of the Smuggler's Creed.
I think it's quite a good philosophy to follow, both for moral reasons and for self-preservation. And it's impossible to mis-interpret unlike some codes *coughcough*Odan-Urr*coughcough*.
Seriously though. What the hell was that guy thinking?
