Maul is the Boba Fett of the Prequels. He looks kind of cool. He does nothing note-worthy. And everyone inexplicably loves him. As for his role in the Star Wars universe? He has none.

Y'know, I wasn't around back then. But that actually sounds really nice. Maybe not the "losing XP and gear" thing so much... But yeah. It sounds like the emphasis was on the world itself and not the things you can (you HAVE to) do in it. Like there was actually a point to the world being so huge, other than to accommodate a bunch of players. Like that same huge world was the actual point of the game and not just something that got in the way of handing in quests. Or even that the point is what you make of it, not just grinding to lv X and doing raids... Wow. I'm getting nostalgiac about something I've never experienced. That's... Odd.

I'll try and explain the whole balance thing to you despite you clearly refusing to listen to anyone who does. See the Force as a human body and the Dark Side as cancer. By itself, the human body (or the Force) is balanced. Everything functions like it should. Then along comes "cancer". Cancer gets rid of the body's previous balance and slowly destroys it. It has, in a way, become part of the body. But the body's better off without it. Do you see what I'm getting at here?
