  1. This is the heart of the debate. IMO this doesn't bother me, and is not P2W. Space missions are a side part of the game. There is no competition in it against other players. I am not competing for groups, against other players or even for time. Therefore there is no "Win," and cannot be P2W. It's just some off time playing with a distraction. Have I used Cartel coins for it? No. Will I? No. Do I care if someone else does, and will it effect me in the slightest bit? No. Let's not forget that the company producing this game does have to make money. I think it's great if people put in their RL money to buy some POS ship up-grades that have no effect whatsoever on my game play as PvEer, or PvPer. Summarily, if the definition of P2W is any "gear" then I will except your definition of P2W, but I will rebut your definition of gear. Since it does not equip to any class, or any companion, or any multi-player environment then it is not gear, and might as well be cosmetic items.
  2. IMO this is not P2W. I understand the fear of them crossing that line of P2W I fear they may one-day as well, however they have not yet done so. There are 2 main reasons why this is: 1. No, someone that has paid to get the grade-7 upgrades does not necessarily get end-game PvE gear faster than someone who did not. You can get the grade-7 upgrades without paying real money, and thus people using real money have no advantage over someone who has put time into the game to have enough credits to buy it all. It's on the GTN for around 100k a piece. 2. The previous end-game gear for ships was available EXCLUSIVELY through end-game crafting (except the extra modules like power-conversion) and the GTN. Now you can get it from the GTN, Cartel Market, or grinding through lower level space missions. I'm against P2W model as much as anyone else. The line has not been crossed yet. BW has managed to do one thing negative that effects game-play IMO. They have, at this point, nearly effectively made all crafting pointless, except Biochem for stims and Augements because you can't buy those on the Cartel Market yet.
  3. FFXI says more about suck PvP
  4. Again you're missing the point, and it's amazing how one-track minded you are. The point isn't that stuns exist, or that you can't get out of "every" stun scenario. It's simply the sheer number of stuns that there are. The biggest problem you have is that you can't even recognize the problem. I want tactical combat, not stun-fest scenarios. Another part of the problem is that roots aren't even effected by resolve, and in the case of melee vs ranged classes it's effectively another stun.
  5. Wow, you failed, completely and utterly. I am ALL about tactics and often give up having good numbers to make sure we win. I know how to use my CC breaker only when my resolve is full, or need to stop a cap. The problem, again, isn't that it exists, but how MUCH there is. I'm actually an objective focused player, but killing your opponents is ALSO part of capping, not just CC. I don't know if you realized that, but you're probably the ******* type that won't attack healers because you don't understand the game. That's a good point, but with the amount of CC and only 1-3 healers per side it's a moot point. No way healers can cleanse so many stuns on so many people without letting them die, or getting themselves killed. Solution: AOE Cleanses? Anyone have any ideas on how that could rebalance the stuns?
  6. I don't see what you don't get. Playing a game where you can't control you character isn't much of a game at all. let alone fun, but getting damaged in a WZ is what we expect, and what we play for. Kill the opponent before they kill you. At least if your dying by DOTs you still have a fighting chance.
  7. "I hear what you're saying and the answer is no!" Anyway, more serious note, I'm all for diminishing returns on stuns, faster stun breakers, something! If you're worried about "wrecking ball" maras in Huttball, or even Jugs, Sins w/e, just make it to where the ball carrier gets a debuff that makes them easier to CC or something. It's not that hard, it already gives a slow debuff. Also, effects that happen PvE and PvP could be different, you could still take the stuns out of PvP by making it to where players can't CC each other. That wouldn't mess with PvE at all (not that it matters in PvP thread, don't even know why you're in this forum whoever said that,} but that would leave us with rebalance issues. I don't care how it's fixed, I just hate being stunned 60%of the time or more in a WZ, it's just plain not fun.
  8. Minor note: you can't use Vaapad, it wasn't created for another 3000 or so years.
  9. I'm more for Inquisitors getting Force Forms than LS forms.
  10. It is most accurate that Yoda mastered every form of lightsaber combat, save for the form that was developed by Mace Windu; Vaapad. Also, Master Yoda did employ, most commonly, Ataru form and is considered to be the greatest Ataru form user ever. Yes, he was a consular. I think the entire point is being missed here though. These forms are given to specific classes and talent builds purely for balance reasons. As a lore junky myself I also agree that it seems a bit of a rough decision to do that, but I can't really disagree with it.
  11. This game has been around for a while now, and I recall many, many role-players and many other people just in general wondering why we can't sit in chairs. There are thousands, literally, of chairs in the game, and only 3 can be sat in. Those three are right next to each other on a player's ship. Seriously, you can't tell me that it's hard, or difficult to make chairs able to be sat in, you've already done it. You have the code. Even if it looks half-way goofy, like sitting on the floor which looks like it was designed for female characters. It would still be a step up from the next-to-nothing we have now.
  12. Are there any plans on making the "Unify Colors" actually unify the colors? Ex: I use the Anointed Zeyd-Cloth Vestments for aesthetic reasons. If I wear Columi with it, for instance, it just comes out black and grey, not the vibrant purple and black that I really enjoy on my armor.
  13. Yes you did, right here: And here: Simply put, your argument makes no sense. Addendum: I am also disappointed by artifice not having crit, I need that!
  14. I'm sure everyone missed it, so here it is agian. I think you folks are being dramatic. If you've went to sell items you'd notice that the guild funds still show up as available to repair your gear. What does this mean? The information is still there, the access to it is gone.
