This says everything really... They started off with a few servers (one of each type and language/location) to test the transfer mechanic. If it all goes smoothly, they'll be able to expand it to more servers/players. And, that last sentence is also very clear: they will update the list in a 2/3 days basis, not weeks from now. So, please chill out, don't over dramatize everything.

Sigh. Why is everyone freaking out? This is what needs to be done, and they are phasing it to sort of test the system. Chill out, your dead server will probably be an origin server soonish.

I still find it mildly amusing (and more annoying) to read posts like yours on a normal day and find people whining about other people whining cause they are paying for a service that doesn't get delivered as it should.

Exactly. Europe has 3 PvP servers servers with a decent population and 2 of those are down (Tomb of Freedom Nadd, the most populated server in Europe, among all server types and languages, included). So, yeah, I'd say a lot of Europeans are affected by this.

I'm sorry Jelly, but you misunderstood... Did anyone say it was on purpose? I'm pretty sure they don't decide to annoy their European costumers over the others, but it's a fact that our play time (which is paid for) is way more damaged than the others (US costumers in specific). Now, on top of that, seems like the effort is bigger on bringing the US servers up earlier. They could think like "okay, since it's morning/afternoon in Europe, let's focus on the european servers first, bring them up asap, and then go for the US servers while it's still night/early morning there". Do they? Apparently not. And that's my point.

Yes, ALL US servers are up, while most of the EU PvP servers (the most populated, actually) are down. And it's not early morning here (as is in the US), it's in the middle of the afternoon.

There is new information about this subject on the latest Q&A, which further implies that they are aiming for big servers. Daniel Erickson:

According to the PC Gamer interview with Daniel Erickson, BW is preparing a "huge move" on the servers, which means increasing the population caps to accommodate even more players. As usual, on Tuesdays my guild clears EV in HM, and this is the first time this happens. We are on the Ancient Pylons event and they keep bugging on the 3rd wheel. The first and second wheel go well, but then when we have to click on the consoles to solve the 3rd wheel, they are both (south and north side) not clickable. Has this happened to anyone else? This is true. I've experienced a lot of situations where particles make the FPS drop like crazy. For instance, the first boss in EV: there's a lot of snow and wind, and every time the wind blows trough the area where players fight the boss, my FPS goes from 20 to 5.

Lol, have you read them? The graphics line is a bit hard to prove, but the "issue" regarding emotes on vehicles is pretty easy: you just have to log into the game and try /wave while riding your mount. You'll see it doesn't work. And the patch notes say "vehicle", not "taxi".

As I said, that quote was taken directly from the patch notes available on SWTOR (here - http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes). If you read the patch notes available after logging into your account, on the launcher, you can also see that they clearly say "vehicle", not "taxi".

This was taken from today's patch notes. Went online, jumped on my mount, tried a few emotes, and always got the message "You can't do that while using a vehicle." My question is: was the patch even applied (I know I downloaded it, but still), or they just forgot about this minor "issue"?

Go online and try using an emote while on a vehicle. You'll see you can't do it, although it was supposedly on today's patch.

That info is there for a long time now. If any, that an old UI and guild rooster (unfortunatly, cause it seems pretty cool).
