  1. The only boss in the entire FP i felt slightly cheated on drops was the droid at the start (and the mini bosses, not even tionese crystals), but that is made up for by how easy it is to beat Doctor Lorrick at the end. Seriously, the droid is the only challenge in LI HM. Project Sav-Rek is easy, so is Transgenic Sample Eleven, and the DPS race at the end against Lorrick is very easy, its almost harder to beat those medics than it is to beat him.
  2. Yeah this is your problem mate. You said you want to look for any HM. so this is how it goes. DPS: DPS LFG Taral V HM YOU: /invite DPS YOU: LF2M Tank + DPS Taral V HM. Try doing stuff for yourself instead of waiting for others to form groups for you.
  3. ah lol, thought you might get a better one or something. So black hole mods in columi gear = campaign? nice.
  4. I don't care about the armor, I just use it as an envelope to pass bound mods between characters. Just get the Sith Duelist Robe that's black (well grey) and looks pretty ******.
  5. Ok just tested, i can still mail the item. Phew. If you look at the legacy gear it is locked to a character type hence why jedi can't wear sith gear.
  6. this now completely scuppers my plan then. I just leveled a sent and kept all the purple mods and stuff i had, which i was going to pass to a newly created marauder to use via legacy gear.
  7. On my Jedi Sentinel i now have full columi gear which is the gear I intend to keep during endgame. I was planning to augment it after patch 1.3 then keep upgrading the mods as and when I get better ones. This got me thinking, Columi Gear has the set bonuses in the armor, but campaign gear has the set bonus in the armor mod. So my question is what would happen if I put campaign mods in Columi armor, would it use the campaign bonus because it's a higher level, or the columi as it is part of the armor? (or dare i hope both).
  8. I've played this as a tank, a healer and a dps. It's all about tactics, the first boss can take quite a bit to get used to how his attacks work, but as long as you can keep up with interrupting Incinerate you are fine. It's basically karagga in reverse only this time you stay behind not in front. That was the only boss that left me feeling short changed. The rest are fairly simple really once you know the fights. We totally lucked out on lorrick, our entire team was down with only the healer left and before she died she raised a DPS and he finished him off. As for loot, a Rakata Mainhand is a pretty sweet prize at the end concidering it's the only FP that drops a mainhand weapon.
  9. I've been running slicing missions for a few days (lockboxes) now and tend to ignore the grade 6 missions and just go for the Rich 5's or the Bountiful 4's, but it only seems to return grade 6 (340) mission discoveries or grade 4 (240-250). I'm sure I must have had a grade 5 mission discovery in the past, but do they drop from abundant and moderate grade 5 missions or do you have to be lucky/unlucky with the rich ones.
  10. In what way is The Fatman a dead server? or Freedom Nadd?
  11. This seems to have incorrect stats, all other levels of battle enhancement offer crit + surge but battle enhancement 19 gives shield + crit.
  12. OK so looking at it there is 1 EU PVE English server in the list in the first round and they are moving to the highest population EU PVE English server. I imagine that next it will be the second lowest pop server and so on until that is full then they move to the second fullest server (or possibly end up transfering all EU PVE'rs who speak english onto 1 server).
  13. If you really want to move characters that bad roll a toon on one of the origin servers then move it, problem solved
  14. I always avoided the books thinking star wars to be more a visual thing than something that would jump at me while i was reading. Then I picked up the first book in the NJO series, and never stopped until it was done. It's an up and down series and a serious investment at something like 19 books. Dark Nest was meh, Legacy of the Force was basically what the newer movies should have been (if they could make a movie series of this it would kill the newer movies), and I really liked the latest series Fate of the Jedi (cause I love it when they fight sith). Millenium Falcon is also a good book that follows han and leia as they look into the history of the Millenium Falcon.
  15. You are so wrong there my friend. It's like koala bears acting like 19th century zulu warriors. And in answer to your question Jacen Solo. Went from whiny little girl to complete ***. Best was Anekin Solo.
  16. True, the new movies were a let down, most games since Tie FIghter were a let down, no live action series is a let down. That thing with the kinect is a let down. Coming soon to an SW galaxy near you... Star Wars 1313 is a let down. Whoever gave lucas a computer should be taken out and shot.
  17. Well from a technical viewpoint I imagine it would be a nightmare but some way to queue alts to LFG. If not that then maybe a system whereby when someone enters the queue LFG does the checks to see if it can form a full group, and if it can't it flashes up a message saying something like "Not enough healers queued to form group, you have been placed in the DPS queue at place X (and the Tank queue at place Y)". Then if I want I can change to healer and queue again. If it then says not enough DPS queued I can either stay queued as a healer and wait for another DPS or switch back to DPS and wait for a healer. The choice would be informed by knowing if there are 20 DPS ahead of me in the queue or if i'm queued at 2 in which case it's not worth switching. I also disagree with removing denova from LFG. It should be treated as a tier 2 operation and share it's reward with EV and KP in the same way that Lost Island does with T1 HMFP's. You don't need a pug group to do it if you queue as a guild so the "It can't be done with a PUG" argument doesn't hold up. Finally, be really tough on people who decline groups. I'm not talking about the ones who timeout because they looked away for a few minutes and it popped. I'm talking about the ones who queue then decide they don't want to go and decline. 24hr ban from LFG. And totally agree with the last post about the search order, if someone selects lost island and all the other fp's too they probably want to do lost island since it has the best gear drops. Am I correct in thinking that if you want OPs you are better just queuing for ops only. Since it looks for Ops first then flashpoints surely if you queue for both it will always find a flashpoint, for example if you have 2 tanks 6 dps and no healers queued and 1 healer came queued would it immediate pop the FP or wait a little to see if another healer came on so you could do ops?
  18. Seems to me a lot of what is suggested is in the /who window now. You can mark LFG and the put in a short message about which content you are searching for. Group finder is meant to be automated so you can just queue and carry on questing, not having to keep checking every 2 seconds in case you miss a group. It's not a terrible idea, your gui certainly looks friendlier than theirs does. Looking at the image there seems to be about 3 or 4 groups set up for the same mission with 1 person in each, would the tool auto consolidate if it found a decent match up. Ratings wouldn't work either as the system can be abused either way. So maybe you and the group leader have an argument so he marks you down. Or you are a bit of a pain but usually run with friends who score you positively. I suppose if it was me instead of listing preformed groups (or one person willing to organize one) you would have a list of people currently in the same queues as you on groupfinder. It would list their role and hovering your mouse would list all the other content they are queued for. To me this would be far more helpful, but to others it would be less helpful (I can change to any role) as it would allow me to maximize my chances of getting a group as well as other peoples. Other than that and lv50's having to manually opt into hard modes and denova and getting a gear warning when doing so, I like it how it is.
  19. Our guild normally runs with a vanguard as tank, which to me seems to hurt infiltration shadows. I'm in a mix of columi/rakata/bh and was only getting 1171 dps on the training dummy, where our sage was getting 1400 with slightly worse gear. So we were trying to work out why that would be, I found that first off, while the sage could do higher dps my top attack (project) was hitting for over 7k. Then he suggested maybe a lack of debuffs was hurting me as a melee character which seemed pretty fair since stuff like clairvoyant strike wasn't getting near target. Then our vanguard said he'd debuff the dummy for me, but he didn't have anything that reduces the targets armor. I don't have a vanguard so i don't know whether this is correct or he just hasn't seen that ability, looking at his skill tree would suggest they don't. So we are now wondering, are shadows better paired in groups with a sent and guardian (for extra dps + reduced armor) or does the vanguards protection based stuff balance it out.
  20. Don't waste commendations on the tionese level armorings (the hilts and barrels are below tionese). Daily Commendations should be used to get your earpieces and implants and your campaign relics. You can also try to buy Columi level earpieces and implants off the GTN if you are lucky, on my server these can range from 100-200k each, but it's better than running 4 days of dailies to get the Rakata ones. If none are for sale try trade to see if someone can make one appropriate for you. Implants and Earpieces are the most common green items i see on people queuing for hmfps.
  21. Not sure if this is possible or even desirable to some, but it would be something I would like to see. As a person with 3 Lv50 Characters (soon to be 4), I have 3 characters who can play any role in the game be it tank, dps or healer. It would be good if group finder could show how many of each spec are queued for certain content. I like doing flashpoints and ops and really don't care much whether it's as a Guardian Tank, Shadow DPS or Sage Healer. If there was some way to see that ok, we aren't getting pops because there are not enough tanks queued I can switch to my tank and queue or if there was a shortage of healers or dps, I could use one of the others. I know a few people with multiple 50's and most of us are happy to come as whatever just to make a group so this would be a godsend for us. It means that everyone gets a chance to try some content rather than just having 20-30 dps all queued waiting (and moaning probably) because LFG won't pop because there are too few healers or tanks. Also remove the lockouts from Story Mode Ops, even if you can only loot each boss once, it allows those who couldn't complete a raid due to people dc'ing or quiting the chance to play from the start, and doesn't punish those who join you because you already killed off some of the bosses.
  22. How about creating a set of daily missions based around the advanced class / spec you choose to help people practice their main mechanics. Here is kind of what i'm suggesting. Tanks Protect the lines - You are sent to the frontline of the war. The mission is to protect a group of 20 republic troopers from an assault by increasingly tough mobs. The goal is to use your taunts to stop the mobs from attacking the troops with the bonus at the end dependant on how many troopers are still alive. DPS (with stealth) Steal their Secrets - You must infiltrate an enemy base and retrieve an item without being detected. Some mobs can see through your stealth like FP bosses can, there are droids that try to detect you and maybe a system where an unseen support occationally knocks out cameras for a few seconds to allow you to pass (in a similar way to how the black hole mission works). The Bonus is reduced for every mob you pull. DPS (without stealth) Save the Tank - A group of vanguards and guardians have come under attack by a group of powerful sith. Your mission is to DPS down the sith before they can kill any or all of your troops. Bonus reduces for each trooper you lose. Medic Contagion - A virus is spreading in the medbay which causes all the people there to gain periodic damage, the healer has to try to keep as many patients alive as possible until the vaccine arrives. Due to the various ages of the patients they are affected more or less so you have to try to keep a balance on who needs healing most. Bonus reduces for losing patients. If you could make these take place at random locations, like a random layout for the stealth base or a random background for the warzones or medbays it would give you a sense at endgame that you are still involved in an ongoing conflict rather than just sitting around waiting for new content or wondering why they gave that damn pilot a licence if he crashes his ship every day. It also helps teach people the mechanics of the spec they are playing and allows them a benchmark to measure their progress. If as a tank on the first few tries the entire team dies but then you start to save one or two, then three or four, you know you are getting better with the taunt mechanic. DPS Stealth would be able to do either DPS mission but only one or the other a day.
  23. The first thing he should have asked in that vid is will this one actually be any good. I don't care about motion captured faces, I just want a good star wars game. Roll on X-Wing 2013.
