  1. So I asume that the info in the OP is outdated and we can no longer get targets down to 30% in a openee. I took a look at the “updated” guide on Vulkks - the one saying it is updated for 6.1.1, and there the rotation is Stealth->recklessness->spike->low slash->discharge->electrocute->maul And this opener - it claims - is supposed to get people down to very low hp. However, that is dedinately not the case. Not sure if I do something wrong, but following that roration only brings them down to about 80%. If I am lucky, 70%.
  2. I tried doing what you suggested, but the problem still exist. I have written a ticked ingame, since calling the support will be quite expensive (foreign call) :/
  3. Just started to get this error message today when I try to purchase cartel coins. Credit card info is up to date. I also get "error code 10" and "error code 9" when trying to buy through ingame. Again, credit card is up to date and bank is not "holding anything".
  4. Firstly I would like to say sorry for giving you an email when I reply But I agree. I myself have had countless of different classes, but since most classes are basically mirror-classes, I can safely say, that I know almost all abilities, just like you. Which made me wonder, since I main a deception sin, if there were any changes etc to stealth for some sin specs, after I saw that guy. However, I've seen the guy in WZ's since then, and the same thing occurs. Also a lot of fishy things are going where you just stop moving your char and thinks "what the .....f......was that?" .. I am very hesitating about calling people cheats - but as you say - 10% know how to spot a cheater. I concider myself being in those 10%. I've begun leaving WZ's whenever I see stuff like this happen. It just ruins the game even more (a game which is already ruined by the dev's)
  5. You are welcome Sometimes us PvP'ers forget, that many of the players in a WZ are newcommers to PvP (at least in SWTOR). And things get a little hotheaded That being said - it is always good that you ask, if you got questions. Being in a WZ or not. You will find that there are always people who are willing to help and to answer them. About all the abilities to keep track of: Usually you can see on the opponents character, if he/she has a proc or has popped a DCD (defensive cooldown) - DCD: sometimes it looks like a blue sphere, other times a yellow sphere. Procs: Usually around the opponents hands, i.e small red/blue spheres.
  6. Ack ok the only ones I cant seem to get, are the makeb/rishi ones. :/
  7. I got one question: When mentioning PvP weapons, do you mean the weapons you buy at the PvP vendor, or just any moddable weapon that you want to use for PvP? *edit* disregard my question. It is the PvP weapons from the PvP vendors. A shame, since I will get the Gree weapon next time the event starts. and I really love the looks of those
  8. Wa... a new 8v8 WZ? Or just a new 4v4 ranked one?
  9. Well, Dulfy already got some pretty decent guides, incl. Deception But yup, will probably give it a try sometime
  10. Hmm you might be right. Will give it a thought Stuff like a decent opener... I.e Pop recklessness 10-12 before opening. Start with Discharge into stride into discharge again - then VS into Maul into Ball (maul is now an autocrit* and is buffed by discharge while Ball is buffed by discharge AND maul...) After that, pop your stealth, which would reset your recklessness (if you timed it correctly), giving you one more fully buffed discharge. People would probably argue against using stride to buff your second discharge, since it COULD leave you vulnerable to kiting. However, if specced properly in utilities, we got enough tools to prevent that; low slash, insta whirlwind, root/snare break on force speed etc. Just an example of an opener though... *- that is, if you got the set pieces.
  11. Have actually thought of it. But it would probably just be some short one, where the most non-brainer things are written down, i.e: dont open with spike or sap (unless it is to stall the opponent, rather than killing him). Or when to use resillience/force shroud deflection etc and against which classes. I do love when an op tries to stun me, and I already popped resillience/force shroud a microsecond before usually they panic.
  12. ^ this. Low Slash is my troll-ability and by God, it is being abused! I almost dare to say that it is one of, if not THE, best ability we got so far 15 sec CD, 4 sec stun/interrupt...gotta love it. And I agree - our AoE taunt works wonders! But I cringe when I see classes with taunts, having absolutely 0 protection score in a WZ...
  13. Deception is fun, if you know what you are doing and keep your head cool Good management of DCD's combined with the plethora of CC's that we got', we can pretty much stand our ground. And no - VS spamming is just terribad play Clever use of Recklessness and Breach/stride etc would give you quite a good burst. Also, never open with Spike
  14. Sorry for the necro but.... For what I can see, YOU are the one having a big mouth. You obviously have some kind of grudge against that guy. But reading almost every post from you in their recruitment thread, it is obvious that the bigmouther is you - not him.
  15. I can answer that short: No BUT!! IMO, compairing clicky vs keybinding in an MMO PvP, is like compairing mouse users vs controller users in FPS games. Mouse > Controller users EVERY time in FPS.
  16. Potency-buffed inf-shadows with the RNG's on their side and the proper rotation should be able to...
  17. Hmm... Ya.. Last night, I noticed a hatred specced sin, rolling in and out of stealth 4-5 times within 15 seconds. Made me wonder if I had missed some kind of update, giving hatred spec that many in-combat-stealths
  18. Oh...I got one... READ CHAT!!! Also....: 1) Fight at node! 2) Fight FACING node! (to prevent ninja-capping) 3) Call inc's - pref: NC: E#, M/S#, W# AH: L/R# AC: S#, M#, G# - (yesterday, I had a guy calling me noob for not typing "snow inc ##, instead of me just typing "S##" - stop calling ppl noobs, just because you don't have a basic intelligence worth enough to intepret what people are saying) 4) Situational Awareness - you can actually call many inc's a long time before they reach the node, if you just open your eyes. 5) Clicking is bad 6) If you see a guy who is CC'ed, usually that is a good indication to STOP ATTACKING HIM - however, it depends on the CC (as some guy mentioned earlier in this topic) 7) Use focus target/modifiers 8) Stop thinking that it is all about "dps/damage done" - in an objective-based WZ, it is about objective score/kills. Damage is of course important too, but when I see a mara or whatever, running at around 1mil dmg done, with 0 kills and 0 objective-scores, calling ppl noobs and claims they are the reason the team lost...well.. Also, in this little screenshot, I got called out for being noob: (My name is Sacré) - infiltration shadow. http://imgur.com/RreIQDt 9) Use TAUNTS - RELIGIOUSLY! Taunts are your teammates best friends! I get pissed each time I see a taunt-class with 0 protection in a WZ.Just take a look at the pic above - at least 4 classes who are able to taunt, with next to 0 protection...! Gosh darn... Unless, of course, it was a defender. 10) A good UI-setup can go a long way. Here is a pic of mine: http://imgur.com/wfIw3gN The most important (to me) CD's/procs, I've put in a little bar in the middle, just below my char, so that I can keep a fast track of them all the time. My targets castbar has been enlarged and positioned just above that CD-bar. Makes it even easier to check what is being cast and what to prepare for. 11) Keybinds! Usually, you will eventually remember where you put that damn DCD...but untill then, it would be wise to use the same keybinds across different chars who have the same "effects" - i.e. stuns. 12) Remember - unless it is an arena, WZ's are NOT a TDM. If I had a penny each time I saw 3 of my teammates chase a random lonely scrub around the damn map, far far away from the nodes, I would be rich today. That enemy effectively just took out 3 of my teammates from the game, by having them chasing him, leaving more breathing room for HIS team to cap/defend/whatever. DO. NOT. CHASE! Stand your ground! TunnelVision™ is terribad. Sure, it gives a certain joy to win a 1v1. But if you won that 1v1 on the cost of your team loosing the node you were guarding because of a ninja-cap, then you are the problem, and most likely the cause of your team loosing. 13) Marking! Mark the healers! Tell your team that the healers are now marked. Also made a little "newb-guide" to some of the WZ's - feel free to correct me if I am wrong ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Voidstar Objective: As attacker: Place bomb on door. Defend bomb. Profit. Do this all the way to the terminal in the back of the map. As defender: Keep attackers from placing the bombs on the doors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Novare Coast (NC): Capture at least TWO (2) turrets in order to penetrate the opponents shields. When the HP (healthpoints) of the bunker reaches 0 you win. There are three turrets; one west of map, one mid and one east of map. Usually called W, M or E. Pro-tip: You actually have to CLICK on the glowing terminals which is situated INSIDE the small bunkers, in order to begin capping - not just stay near it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Civil War: Basically the same as NC, but with turrets called Grass aka G (grassy area), Snow aka S (Snowy area) or Mid aka MID/M. You can hide behind the turret-cap in order to LoS people while you are capping it. Again, this is done by actively clicking on the glowy terminal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Huttball: Grab the ball, get it to the opponents spawnarea (cross the line with the ball) and score. Stay OUT of the green goo and the fire. You can toss the ball to a teammember if you like. If you get killed while carrying the ball, the enemy who made the killblow, gets the ball. If you go stealth while carrying the ball, the ball resets. In case of a tie, upon time is out, the team who carries the ball (if any) wins. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ancient Hypergate: Pylons...ahh yes - the notorious pylons. The map is divided up so that there is a center, with 4 orbs in it, and one pylon situated east and one west of the center. Capturing a pylon grants points. Killing a player grants points. Gathering orbs and bringing them to the pylon YOUR team controls grants points. Team with most points in the end, wins. Again, to capture a pylon, click on the huuuuge glowy thing on the ground. IF you capture a pylon, and the enemy then captures it afterwards, THEY will get quite a sum of points. IF your team (or the enemy team) has BOTH pylons when the timer runs out and the pylons emit a discharge, the team gets ALOT of points. The pylons emits a discharge regularly when a timer is out (the timer can be found usually top-right of your screen). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Usually when people say to call "inc" it means that whoever is defending should type in ops (operationschat) that they have incomming by saying the turret and how many enemies are incomming. An example: On Novare Coast, you are defending EAST, and you see TWO enemies comming in the distance (or they jump you if you arent paying attention) - you quickly type E2 (East - 2 enemies) - by typing only E2, it gives you the time to actually put up a fight, hence stalling the enemy while waiting for backup (unless your team is full of complete tunnelvisioning smashmonkeys who doesnt read chat). Preferably call the inc, BEFORE you die, usually in the beginning of the combat. Calling after, and then complain about no help comes, simply doesn't cut it. Now - what can we conclude from all this? Well - that it is VERY smart to stay near the objective if your team has it, and defend it from being capped by the opponent team. This is best done while FACING the objective (the glowy terminal or door), and have a generally sense of what goes on around you. IF the opponent has more objectives (caps) than your team, it would be very wise to try and get those caps. Again, I refer to how to actively cap a point. Other tactics apply in PvP as well in PvE: LoS, stay out of red circles, while green circles USUALLY are okay. Etc etc... Keyboard-turning: insta-death.
  19. You forgot about Low Slash - the 30m 15 sec CD 4 sec stun
  20. Hate it. They need to fix it so that you drop the ball when you roll/TP/leap/whatever.
