  1. You did turn off shadows, right? That always gets an extremely large FPS jump.
  2. This being my first MMO, on my first character, I never had to use more than one medpack for any kind of PvE fight throughout the entire story. The only way a fight would even last that long is if you'd purposely spammed the default attack, had crappy gear, no companion, or a combination of the three. For all of you guys complaining, this is a L2P issue I'd say, at least on the PvE aspect.
  3. This is what I was expecting first time I heard this, and honestly one of the things I was most excited about coming from 1.2, being an RPer. "I can have the outfit that I've actually dreamed of having? No more searching the GTN for something that looks decent? Huzzah!" The tool we get now certainly is a large step in the right direction, and I'm more than grateful for it. If there's ever a time when we could get the full color palate available, though, than that'd really be something.
  4. It's been mentioned before, but Medpacks have a 90 second CD. I have three or four chars, all different classes and leveled differently. I have NEVER had a fight, not even the final boss for a class story, last more than 90 seconds. So, OP is either QQ'ing about the smallest issue ever because he can't play the game correctly, or trolling.
  5. Bioware can't please everyone at once. No one cares about your complaining. If you're going to unsub, do it, and stop making massive threads about how you will. If you aren't, than try to make a forum helpful and constructive instead of childish and self-centered. That is all.
  6. OP cannot imagine the immensity of the f**ks I do not give. Buh-bye, not gonna miss ya.
  7. The drop system for this seems seriously out of whack to me. Whenever a world boss or FP boss drops something, as I'm sure most or all of you know, you roll for the items it drops. Frankly, I just want to rant on how highly abusable this is. You're telling me some greedy ******e with every piece of gear in his arsenal 'Need's the thing just for money, and gets it over some poor guy who doesn't have a single piece of that Tier of gear? Really? I'm sure this has happened to many of us at least once. People with no gear can go through multiple FPs without getting any decent gear, even if many of their type drops, if they're dealing with the right kind of wrong people. Can't we have a slight change to this, maybe? Like if you're rolling for an item for your class, you get a higher chance of getting it? Or possibly, though it may be extreme, taking off the Need button for anyone who isn't the same class? Feel free to post your opinions, whether they be ideas, general thoughts, or hell, even 'OP is QQ'ing' posts.
  8. Now, for those of you who RP out there, on the RP servers, you've all met the type of people who are on the server for "the more mature community", even though there already exist PvE-RP and PvP-RP servers. Now, if we were to look at this factually, it does tend to take away from EncounterRP, because most people will just run right past while doing a quest. And you know what? That's alright, and I can deal with it. Not like I have to force people to RP. What really pisses me off is the kind of people who constantly find it necessary to flood chat, and start flamewars, by just saying stuff like "lololol, rp sucks noobs" and such. Whether trolling or just honest opinions, it's still a bit over the top. And then there's the ones who drive over you with speeders, or run around spamming emotes over and over, and godmoders. It just soils the RP servers out there, and forces us to either seek refuge in an RP guild, or stay almost strictly to CantinaRP. Ironic that the people who seek a more mature community often turn it into the exact opposite, eh? Anyway, thanks for reading the rant, if you did at all. TL;DR, Non-RPers tend to ruin things for RPers in ways we can't help, OP is QQ'ing, blah blah blah. /rant
  9. It's most likely that he's not satisfied with the game, is QQ'ng, and quitting in protest. Which probably won't make a difference, no offense OP.
  10. You guys remember the guy at the beginning of the game, who kinda took you through the whole thing? Trask Ulgo? I know this is quite a bit of time in the future, past Trask's time, but is there any relation to the house on Alderaan? Or is this just the nerd in me nitpicking?
  11. Although this wasn't a common thing done in the time period, this was one of those little things that irked me about the system. Darth John or something similar doesn't exactly sound that fearsome. +Support
  12. It's not exactly related, but I feel that, for two appearences in the game, HK doesn't have enough funny lines. One that did get me, though, was something along the lines of: HK: "Commentary: I have located each of your weak points. The first shot will immobilize you. The second shot will spill your slippery substances to the floor." Have to admit, I grinned at that. Good ol' HK.
  13. What I do is only acknowledge minor points in the story and use that in RP. For example, in the Sith Warrior storyline where Baras tries killing you, I treat it RPwise that my master's tried killing me. As for companions, I tend to give them alternate names and have them in relatively the same situation. Quinn's renamed to Tremlid in my story, for example, and the most he does is captain the ship, as Quinn does.
  14. The ability, as stated before, is a last ditch. The only time it would be used is when our health is low, so we can get some distance and hopeful recoup slightly, but this effect is only good against one person, and it's doubtful it'll be game breaking. I mean, 6 seconds. Come on. It's not overpowered, it's just meant to make Marauders/Sents survive longer. That's why we've got Predation/Cloak of Pain/Obfuscate/ and their Jedi counterparts. They've got fairly large CD's, and they're meant to keep us alive for a little longer, not turn the tide of a battle.
  15. That's understandable. However I was indeed using stims/medpacks/saber ward/cotf/cloak of pain/etc. I am curious, what level were you when you completed it?
  16. Anyone who's done this quest on Alderaan is familiar with it. For those who aren't, let me sum it up. You're helping a small group of soldiers fend off a few waves of attackers. Sounds simple enough. Unfortunately, most people can get up to wave two or three, because the number of enemies is simply too great to actively retaliate. If you try running, even with Camoflauge, you're bound to take some pretty noticable damage. The point is here, after all the normal guys on wave two, you have to deal with two Robots, same wave. You're guaranteed to die here at least once. Know what that means? Do the whole thing over again, from the start of the area. Fight your way to the group, and finish the first wave just to get back again. Even if you pass the second wave, there is a third wave with an even more difficult to conquer droid. At this point, there are very limited options. One of them is to level a few times over just to pass it. Another is to sit in the back 95% of the time, and let the Lieutenant just fight them. Now, don't get my wrong, I LOVE the class quests, but this one takes the case as being completely absurd. You either have to level multiple times to pass this quest, or sit in the back and twaddle your thumbs, watching a slow battle. The quest shouldn't be so difficult that one is more inclined to simply sit back and do nothing for a mission to complete it. Call it a L2P issue if you want, but my suggestion to BioWare is to either lower the number of enemies per wave, or lower the damage or armor of the droids. Any opinions of people doing/stuck on or have passed the quest would be appreciated. And, in case any of you are wondering, yes I finished the quest, and yes, it was sitting in the back doing absolutely nothing.
  17. As stated above, both were Jedi Guardians, to the best of my knowledge. Revan used multiple colors of lightsaber, including purple, blue, red, cyan, and green at the fight with Emperor, I believe. The Exile (Meetra Surik) used a green lightsaber I believe, though I'm not sure. Both of them were known to be very skilled in multiple lightsaber forms, though I think Kreia said at some point that Revan had mastered the Shii-Cho form. All of the other forms I'm unsure about.
  18. What are you, seven? Anyway, as stated above, seperatist means someone who wants to secede. In TOR's case, this would be anyone who wanted to leave the Republic.
  19. This. This game is 300 years after the 2nd KotOR game. Just saying.
  20. Looked up a generator, and found Lankost. So, my name is Zech Lankost, which I figure sounds better then most last names I could think of for him xD
  21. I'm having a problem too. I get to the Jedi Council doors, right-click on it, and the chat bubble pops up. Normal. I wait for like... 10 minutes. Nothing. I have a better then decent connection, good computer, and I KNOW it shouldn't take this long. I'm just stuck waiting at this door hoping something will happen. Anyone know a fix or a workaround?
  22. Well, call it a noob question, but I'm not sure if it's possible. If it is, I'm not sure how I'd go about doing it. Since the mission is on the Ship, how would I get a group member of a different class on it to help me? I normally don't like using groups for class missions, but my computer lags due to a bad graphics card (CURSE YOU INTEL HD), and the interrupts won't run as intended. Since so much as one mistake in this fight can make or break a win, I'm gonna need some help. Thanks in advance.
