a lot of players have this expectation that is unattainable. WoW was always down when it came out, and there was exactly zero endgame content --molten core was not itemized. All you could do was run Scholo, stratholme, and UBRS for mediocre gear and a low % drop rate. I will say vanilla WoW was a very good product however, way better than the frankenstein's monster piece of trash people are playing today.
I do agree that I feel like I'm going from zone to zone to zone (lots of loading screens) and I'm not really running into people. I rolled on a PVP server and I've run into about 3 republic players by level 33.
Hutball is basically the only PVP I get to play, and quite frankly it's not something you wanna show off to your friends to entice them to get the game. FROG DOGS ARE ON A RAMPAGE!
With all of that said I am hooked on the game and will continue ot play but I think they missed the mark in some areas.
I like to use this ability a lot, considering it lowers the cooldown of cloak of pain for me (anni spec) and it provides good burst since it isn't constrained by the GDC.
I mapped mine to the "Q" key for easy access, and it's the 2nd ability on the bottom hotbar so it's right in front of my face and I can see it when it lights up.
well I'll stick my neck out here... casual player only level 33:
force charge>deadly sabers>battering assault>rupture>vicious slash>ravage>after 2 hits cancel with assault>force choke>force scream
then I just keep cycling deadly sabers, rupture, vicious slash, and force scream and activate berserk when it pops. use battering assault as soon as it pops unless you have a wealth of rage to spend
I am having trouble with this as well, but with many more abilities. Oftentimes I just stand there, doing nothing, which drives me up a wall in a heated pvp battle/1vs1
I was from the "marauders are fine" camp, but now with all of the 50's geared out I'm having a really frustrating time. I feel like the class doesn't put out enough dps considering you have to wade around in the 'mosh pit' while other classes are on the fringes mashing 1-2-3 and getting similar results. Not only that but I feel like all of the CC's are designed to man-handle OUR class --we have no CC to speak of and our cc break is on a 2 minute CD (sometimes it doesn't fire either)
/rant
While we are currently looking at quality of life and usability improvements to increase the class' playability without compromising the unique aspects of the class, we don't have anything specific to announce just yet.
If they're looking at something then that tells me that there is a distinct possibility that some changes could be made
seems like interrupt is one of those pesky abilities that don't want to fire off
I do love it though when it works.
Nice vid OP, i liked the part where the guy was 'affected' by you and sent you tells
It does get pretty complex, I actually find myself breaking lots of rules like staring at the hotkeys and even *gasp* mouse clicking the odd ability here and there. The gameplay is pretty gratifying for me though --it's immersive. I would say playing a healer/dps on a mercenary offers a similar level of satisfaction for me in terms of juggling abilities
Level 15 sounds rough.
Seriously though, when you get obfuscate and force camo the game changes. You'll have saber ward, cloak of pain, obfuscate, AND force camo to save your ***. It's your fault if you get killed
I'm a circle strafer myself, usually what I do against circle strafing is just pivot and follow them like when I'm trying to get my ravage to register all the hits for example.
I swtiched to Annihilation from Rage at 25 and I'm pretty happy with it. The extra survivability isn't anything to write home about at this point, but the dps coming from attacks plus multiple DoTs adds up to a lot of burst. I think deadly sabers (or w/e the name) is pretty low hanging fruit for the marauder class.
