  1. nah, not really. It doesn't really ruin my day or anything like that. I have a companion locked behind a story mechanic which isn't good at all. Wong or not, but I've come to the expectation that being a subscriber to this game comes with its fair share of drama and angst. I'm a bit obsessive compulsive so the Lokin tunnel quest with the picture of the probe sitting on my screen is going to be mocking me for the next month. Oh well, I'll finish up with the Pierce PVP tonight, I have 5 more arenas to go, then I don't have to worry about it, then I'll finish the armoring of my toon and the companion stuff and crush the Star Fortresses. So its not like there isn't a bunch of stuff to do. It would be worse if this was completely blocking me from critical game content.
  2. Well it looks like I'll just run some PVP tonight and finish off Pierce, and continue the heroics and Star Fortress stuff. Not a big deal, I'm just assuming that they're going to reschedule it for later.
  3. I would assume that if we haven't heard about a fix by now that the event will probably be rescheduled.
  4. I'm not a big PVP'er I'm more of a story line guy and if I can do it solo, I do it solo. I haven't played PVP in this game since my first toon a few years back. But I got the Pierce quest and said what the hell and jumped in to it last night. I did 3 arenas and got 5 points. I'm not even the best PVP'er out there, and I went in and had a blast. I did make sure that I was a good team mate though, I'm not a healer, but a stealthy agent, so I did a lot of guarding when it came to turrets or pylons. If we were on the offensive I went over to help out as a sniper and had some success there. But I just decided that it had to be done and to just go with it and try to kill people. I really do need to master using interrupts and stuns though. In my last one last night it was the one with three turrets, it was a incredibly fun game and we ended up winning with 10% of our ship left. I ended up with 30 kills and died 11 times. I might have misjudged PVP it was a nice change from the story line side of things and it was fun playing against an unpredictable enemy. I'm going to try to get my daily and weekly warzone stuff done this one time and get the Pierce quest done.
  5. So I don't know if this is the right place, and this is probably a really dumb question. I'm hardly a new player. But at one time or another I bought a ton of cartel packs, So now I have my iindividual storage untis stuffed with armor and armor sets. For the most part, I'm not going to use all of them. Is there a way to get rid of them so I can clear out space? I could put them up on the GTN, but if they don't sell, then is there another easy way to get rid of them?
  6. I usually run Lana as a healer Thanks for the advice folks, I appreciate it. I may be level 65 but that doesn't mean that I'm stunningly great at the game like a lot of you are. I never thought about looking for those terminals.
  7. Really stupid question about what the military alliance skill is, all of my alliance members are plus 10 is that one of the buffs I get at the start when I click on the terminal by the entrance? Is it something that I have to activate?
  8. Thanks guys, I'll give this a spin this weekend, great advice. I did use interupts, but I can't recall a summon help bar.
  9. Hi all I was just looking for hints, I got to the Skytrooper Praetorian and I find myself getting crushed I am an Imperial Agent (stealth) My helmet, Jacket, pants, earpiece are 216 Boots gloves wrist bracers are 208 I have one 220 enhancement my rellics are 186 I'm using Lana as my companion she is influence 26 I am getting over run by the troops that he calls him, and he continually stuns me. Lana doesn't seem to last long. advice? The way I figure it, if I'm getting crushed at this stage, my run in with whatever the end boss in is going to hurt. Oh, I'd prefer to solo this if possible.
  10. So I'm going to have two HK's in my collection. One to protect and one to assassinate.
  11. Isn't there still a hard mode flashpoint that you have to do, how can a player solo that?
  12. ugh Thana Vesh, the most incompetent braggart ever. I don't want a companion that really needs to have a Benny Hill soundrack everytime I call her from the ship. Or as I'm fighting a mob you see her igniting her lightsabre and taking a step and falling down the stairs. I guess if there was a quest based around her cleaning up around the stronghold or scrubbing the can on the ship she could do that without hurting herself or locking herself in the broom closet or the freezer. But the title for worst Sith ever goes to her. I can see a quest that starts with a dog running up to you and barking frantically and your character saying "what's wrong boy . . . has Thana fallen down the well again?"
  13. I don't get how it kills the game. When they first announced this, I had a fear that I would lose the ability to do the weekly +4 in the Black hole and the Weekly and daily +2 on CZ solo. But nothings changed because the +4's have gone to plus 2's and I can still solo the +2's on the higher planets. The mobs don't drop as much, but you can run through CZ-198 Blackhole and Ziost in less then an hour and probably make about $300,000 in an hour plus now with the fleet console you can really run through the heroics on planets, still do them solo and do it quickly because of the quick transport. The change that I feared the most, made very little difference except that I can't sneak by mobs as easily because of the level sync. Sure there used to be a seductive nature to going back to a core planet that you are massively over leveled and over armored and weaponed and take some satisfaction in one shotting everything but I like the level sync and a bit of a challenge much better. And it does appear that having upper level armor in level sync makes a difference, a guy with green armor leveled synced on Alderaan can't match up with a guy with outlander lvl 65 armor against mobs.
  14. Out of my four mains My Dark Side Assassin would surely kneel, only to learn as much as he can, wait for the right time, and slide his saber between the shoulder blades My Dark Side Marauder - probably wouldn't kneel, the Emperor was a betrayer of the Empire and wanted to destroy the galaxy, in the end he's loyal to the Empire not the individual, and he would fight to the death to protect it My Light Side Counselor - wouldn't kneel to evil and would probably try some stupid self sacrifice My light side Smuggler - well are you paying me to kneel? My Dark Side Agent would kneel for the same reason as the assassin, to gather intelligence find the best angle and execute the kill My Light Side knight wouldn't kneel period My Dark Side Bounty would only kneel if he could get paid and it would eliminate the competition My Light Side Soldier not only wouldn't kneel, but he would try some kind of suicidal ill thought of plan.
  15. We don't really know that there haven't been technological advancements. From a cosmetic standpoint we don't know if Droids are smarter or faster processing in ANH as oppossed to TOR. For all we know the Hyperdrives are slightly faster, shields are slightly stronger, weapons are slightly more powerful. But the aesthetics of the technology might have stayed the same. Star Wars is a 40's serial wrapped in a si-fi bundled, the technology isn't the emphasis. While in something like Star Trek they very much use technology to solve their problems. "Geez Captain if we modify the main deflector array and fire an inverse tachyon stream through it we can open a rip to a new dimension" I would almost think that the period between lets say TPM and the end of the Empire were equivalent to the Dark Ages where technology and research were held in the hands of a limited few and government heavily regulated research. But the Death Star had to represent a massive leap forward in terms of power generation, lens focusing and power throughput to create a one shot planet killing weapon. We also saw a massive design philosophy change in terms of star fighters.
  16. I doubt that the leader of the new Empire is anything that would be attached to a game or a novel because frankly out of the millions who see this movie a small faction have played the game. It would the equivalent to the scene in Guardians of the Galaxy except with movie goer participation I can see it now We see the shrouded figure as he's confronted by Luke Skywalker or whoever. He turns around Cackling as he hits Luke with a bolt of Force Lighting or a carton of milk. Luke screams in pain and shouts out "Who are you" The evil leader slowly lowers his hood for the big reveal, the movie audience stops breathing in excitement as a handsome bearded face is revealed all menacing like. He replies with an ancient voice deep and evil "It is I VALKORION" The audience pauses in confusion, and Luke looks confused and the guy from guardians of the galaxy with the head implants walks into the scene and says "Who?" The audience members look at each other and mutter "Who?" Valkorion smiles uncomfortably and then says "Come on man, Valkorion, or you might know me by other name . . . . The Immortal Emperor" The audience groans, 90% of them have no clue who this is, the rest of the film is filled with flashback history and the credits roll" If they are going to roll in a big reveal like that its going to be someone that they can link to fairly well known Canon or to the previous movies so that audience members that aren't immersed in Canon don't have to go through a long painful introduction. Personally I think the ancient leader is Dark Helmet from Spaceballs
  17. you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
  18. Hey they didn't give us a playable prune face race, nor a character specialization of photo copier repair guy, so we clearly aren't getting everything that I want.
  19. Frankly from just a motivations standpoint I think it would be interesting Smuggler - Wakes up and frankly doesn't care. Its meet the new boss, same as the old boss. He's not attached to the Empire or the Republic, or the new Empire, he has bills to pay. Trooper - Of course he's completely loyal to the Republic. His fight will be to find a republic unit to join, he might view this as pretty much a suicide mission, but its FOR THE REPUBLIC Jedi Knight - The Jedi Order has fallen and is holed up in their temples, he will try to search for the truth in all this from a certain point of view. He feels that the republic is worth fighting for and this new Empire is evil. Jedi Consular - Knows that he needs to re-establish the Jedi Council and organize the Jedi in a fight to bring the light side back to the forefront in these dark times. Bounty Hunter - Similar to the Smuggler, he's a lone man trying to find his way in the universe, and that costs money, plus this new Empire must have an arrest list a mile long and that means new Wampa quilts for the Strong hold. Imperial Intelligence - He thirsts for answers, he wants to find out what happened when he was out, even though he ended his original story as an independent he's still a fan of the Empires order and will work to set up a intelligence net work and start attacking the new Leadership, all while he looks for powerful Sith and Imperials to re-establish the Empire. The Sith Warrior - The Dark Council is probably dead and the Empire has fallen, his first thought is revenge, and he goes to work hunting down and killing everything. The Sith Inquisitor - Wait the Dark Council is dead and probably the Empire is in shambles, there needs to be a new leader, a strong leader. Hello Emperor name tag.
  20. I would expect that the first thing that you learn when you wake up in the new expansion is that the Dark Council and the Jedi Council are no more and probably all dead. Its the best way to show how powerful this new faction is.
  21. Nah She was a pretty incompetent Sith, even if you didn't choose to kill her, chances are she tripped over her own light sabre when she was falling down the stairs in her apartment and decapitated herself. She might have been cute, but she was a complete bumbler. the Brothers probably would have killed her in a half second while she was bragging about how great she is and moved on without a thought.
  22. Maybe they release a couple of story updates before the new expansion comes out that deal with Vitale. Maybe you're party finally finds a way to put him to rest or contain him and there's an enormous party after words. You're characters sit around drinking heavily and singing that "Yub Yub" song from the Return of the Jedi while watching dancing girls when suddenly a fleet arrives over head and start landing troops and launching fighters. you of course are drunk and you run to find your lightsaber, gun, pistol and trip and fall into a conveniently place carbon freezing pit that you accidentally turn on when you drunkenly reach for the ledge to pull yourself out. Or maybe they don't resolve Vitale's story because he see's this destruction coming and feels that its the event that can trigger his galaxy eating drive through adventure to immortality.
  23. If we did one on civilized world like Corellia, I would like to see a Skyhook Stronghold that's in orbit over a planet. Even putting a second stronghold on each capital that's a skyhook would be very cool to me. Sitting above the world watching starships flying around as the planet orbits around you. Even a small stronghold at fleet would be very cool to me, a apartment to kick your feet up and stare out the window as massive cruisers rumble by, or Fighters sweep past on patrol. You could even get a personal hanger for your starship to land at instead of landing in one of the main hangers and your ship sits there as long as you're there.
  24. Sure we'd beat them see. They have shields and energy weapons and combat droids. But we have human ingenuity. What we'd have to do see, is steal one of their fighters and fly a computer guy up to one of their mother ships. He'd then hook into their wifi network which of course is compatible to our human technology. This hacker would then login to the ImperialCafe Guest Hot spot and plant a virus that would disable their shields, but only for a few minutes. Then we'd after a hearty speech by the President coordinate a massive world wide strike on their invasion force to take those sons of %%%%%% down. Or wait until they come down to earth and send all of our soldiers with colds against the invading Imperial Army. They'd get sick and die and 10 days later we'd be building MacDonalds on Drommund Kaas.
