  1. So, you go onto a forum that is specifically for discussing a computer game and see people discussing a computer game and assume that's all they do? You don't know how people spend the rest of their time. Maybe they have given much of their time during the day to different endeavors; family, friends, politics, religion. All you see here is the slice of their day where they discuss a particular topic. Since that's the only slice you see, you evidently assume that's all there is. One could just as easily say to you "You spend all of your time worrying about what other people think of a computer game! Get a life!" But anyone employing even marginal critical thinking skills will recognize that that probably isn't true. The issue isn't one of people worrying too much about a computer game, it's more to do with your perspective, or lack of it, than anything else.
  2. Rewards should be what they were before. Otherwise no more pvp for me here.
  3. Oh, get over yourself. people can scream just as much about how WoW has lost over a million subs...it must be because it has no implied targeting!!11!!1!! Just because you don't care for a feature doesn't make it a bad one, or somehow the cause of anything that did or didn't happen in another game.
  4. You must have been trying to make a Republic Zabrak. They have different options than Empire ones. I can recreate the character you showed easily in Empire side now.
  5. This really defeats one of the more fun aspects of PvP, especially if you pug...there's no "us" vs "them"...the person you're facing off against this match may get put on your team next match. No cross faction rivalries, no Imp vs Pub...just a bunch of random guys duking it out for no reason.
  6. Except then someone that DC's gets punished for 24 hours...way to PO the customers into quitting. Punishment is a totally ineffective tool for deterring unwanted behavior anyhow. If they want people to stay in matches they need to provide an incentive...kind of like it was before 1.2
  7. No, he expects some incentive to keep playing. He either came into the match late or is a godawful PvPer. in either case, why should he continue? He either got screwed out of his time by being stuck into a losing match, or he has a lot of hard work and learning to do. Whichever it is, if there isn't some incentive given to keep him encouraged and trying, then he will just go do something else. Sooner or later what happens in pretty much every other MMO will happen. PvPersw will dwindle in number, Q's will take forever to pop, PvPers will cry about how devs don't pay attention to PvP, there's no real PvP in this game, Just Wait Til (Insert next MMO here) Comes Out!, etc. If you want PvP to survive, you need to encourage people to do so...the Dev's can do it with rewards and players can do it by not being *****.
  8. Maybe this is a reverse ninja, but I had a bunch of stacks of something, forget what, up for 20,000 and accidentally added an extra 0 to one stack. Rather than eat the listing fee, I just left it up...a little bit latter someone buys all the stacks at once, including the 200k one. Moral of the story, whether you're buying or selling, always look before you click.
  9. The way it is, there's no reason to even try to sticj around once you're down. The possibility of the loss isn't worth the investment of time. Might as well leave and try to get in one that goes your way. This is especially true of you get in a pug vs. a premade. best thing, IMO, is to simply avoid PvP for now to see if they fix it.
  10. Thew unique storylines are only 20% of the quests you have to do to get to 50 TOPS. So sorry, but lack of content is very valid, since you would have to repeat the vast majority of quests over and over and over to get all 8 classes to 50.
  11. Like most legacy features, it's pretty much useless and just cosmetic. The only one that I really like at all is the cross class buffs, but I expect those to get nerfed somehow since they're actually somewhat useful. Even the legacy items are total crap - don't scale, cost a ridiculous amount of credits, etc. The legacy system is pretty much total fail. Fortunately it's like PvP and the space combat - something that's easy to just totally ignore while I play this like a single player game for the class stories.
  12. It's not evil, but they're not doing because they "care" they're doing it because they can make money. MMO players remind me of guys that go to strip clubs and believe the girls really, really like them since they pay attention to them and sit in their laps.
