  1. I currently play a level 50 rank 73+ marauder on the shadowtown server. I have played the class primarily since launch, and here are a few of my opinions on the class - 1) Compared to other online mmo's I have played, this dps class "sith warrior marauder" seemed to have alot of what I would call "rogue" capabilities (ie. debuff abilities, combat escape abilities) 2) As simple as the class seems to play, it gets pretty complicated later (depends on your trait and skill usage). However I must say that I have seen marauders who play the class simply, but they do not perform as well in WarZone matches (as far as damage score, kill to death ratio, and medals won are concerned) 3) In my opinion, anyone who plays a dps class with extreme skill will most likley burn through a healer or non-damage spec'd enemy; keep in mind however that there are extreme skilled healers that can outheal/debuff almost all incoming damage (these extreme skilled healers seem to be in lower population than that of the extreme skilled dps class-such as the marauder).
  2. I just figured it out, There is a difference in how you can customize your Zabrak sith character, in whether you press the "normal zabrak race button" or the "Legacy unlocked zabrak race button" when you first begin the creation of your zabrak sith character. The main effect I noticed was skin tone customizability. [note that the legacy unlocked zabrak race button is unlocked at level fifty, which I am] I guess there is an advantage to not using your legacy-unlocked zabrak-race for all your characters, because you get some cosmetic customizations taken away. It seems I would only use it if I had to, but that may be working as intended by the developers.
  3. I would very much appreciate if anyone could give me some info on the following questions, although they are lengthy (& random!) it would be a great deal of help..thanks! 1) When I created my first character at launch, I created a Zabrak Sith Warrior. Now, for an idea of the cosmetics, it is an exact replica of Darth Maul (except my skin is red with tattoos black, whereas Darth Maul is Black Skin red with tattoos). Now, my question is, I noticed when you create a new character these days you do not have the choice to make the Zabrak different colors, only light to dark skin. Does this mean my character is one of a kind now? Here is a pic of my character http://tinypic.com/r/o581s8/5 2) I am level fifty and have completed my class quests, along with the main planetary quests. I dont remember doing Rise of the Rhakgouls, and didnt get anything in my inventory or quest book for the 1.2 : Legacy quests either. Is the Rise of the Rhakgouls something I have to complete? 3) What city are the new coriella daily quests located in - and where are the other lvl 50 daily quest cities located? Post Script: -if you are ever on shadowtowns server send me a tell i'd be glad to help with quests or participate in daily HM's! -Kromn
  4. Some things I would like to see on the open world pvp discussion - [i know some of these ideas require much more thought and explaining than I provide, along with many unforseeable consequences/benefits, but the general idea is the gist of it] -Guilds can choose in some way whether to be at war, or allied with eachother, but you can only go to war with a guild that is the opposite of your faction. -When Players are defeated in open world pvp, that player gets an optional window pop-up to place a bounty on the player(s) that killed them. Bounty Hunters are then able to visit a terminal and collect the bounty in the case of a successful elimination. [Excludes WZ's] -Removal of a Players ability to leave open world pvp through a "WarZone" Invitation. -A reward system for multiple kills in open world pvp
  5. I go back and forth on whether my lvl 50 Marauder should be my main, and here is my contemplation of major effects game update 1.2 had on my marauder. If you feel there was a major change to the marauder that significantly altered your playstyle, share it here! I really enjoy some of the changes that the Marauder has gone through in game update 1.2: Legacy. To name a few.. there is the "zero fury cost" usage of the "Intimidating Roar" ability, and the "extended duration of stealth time" on the "Force Camouflage" ability. To name a few things that I didn't like..that would definatly be the "removal of 100% damage reduction" from the ability "Force Camouflage", and the "fury cost increase" of the ability "Smash". Post Script: I was really hoping for implementation of the "Pommel" ability or the "Savage Kick" ability into PvP after several recommendations, but bioware seemed disinclined to acquiesce my request -Kromn
  6. seen some negativity on the forums about subjects such as - the unplanned server downtime, things like shipping and taxes on the life-size collectable statue, whatever people can come up with about 1.2 not having(ie. ranked wz's). Although I can imagine quite a laughable scene at bioware, of a manager demanding the sale of thier life-sized statue in thier office in order to satisfy the players, for stickin with them through the games development. I will say myself, that the development team in this game seems to be very proactive, and creative with players ideas. In my experience with other mmo's, I must say biowares team, although taking too long to initially come out with the game, is more efficient and quicker at updating and solving issues. To summarize what I have written to 3 words instead of 3 paragraphs - "thank you bioware"
  7. could still take up to 4 hours from the bulletin

  9. -disapointment is the only word that can ultimately describe swtor. Here are the abc's to this statement - i ended the list at the letter *z*, however if you would like more reasons, i cannot help you due to the fact that this game will no longer exist on my hard-drive, as well as this site will no longer exist in my internet history. A) cannot have character screen and galactic trade network window open at same time b) no directional selection indicator c) no adjustable user interface d) no end game content (sry bioware repeating the same instances you do at lvl 25-49 at lvl 50 is not end game content e) a player must repeat the same instances many times in order to recieve better gear, which only allows you to repeat the same instance again to get better gear. Once you have repeated the instances, you have only to look forward to doing the instance again on a higher difficulty to recieve better gear, which *suprise* allows you to do the same instances *again* on a more difficult level to recieve better gear. F) global cooldowns. G) tanking class outmatches the dps class, bar none. H) 75% chance to recieve huttball in warzone match. I) space combat, where the player does not get to maneuver in space combat. Ship is on pre-determined path. J) players registered to the game prior to launch are required to buy/download a security key. K) players with vulgar names are not banned/reset l) chat is unmonitored, profane and vulgar phrases and words as well as harassment from other players is often posted in chat m) 25% of the time your instance will bug/disconnect you n) typing /stuck while in combat immediatley kills your character. If you get a knockback on your character in combat, and your character becomes stuck, you can either stand there, or type /stuck and die. O) bioware claiming that the game is different than world of warcraft, when the user interface is identical to world of warcrafts user interface. Size and position of skill ques are identical. Global cooldown method as well. P) certain skills cannot be used against player characters for unspecified reasons, such as force kick on the sith marauder. Q) delayed npc aggro attacking r) the talking droid on your ship is not able to be silenced s) multiple loading screens when landing from your ship to a specified area, as well as multiple loading screens to get on your ship. T) cannot ctrl-c from chat window. U) cannot inspect from chat window. V) gear cannot be dyed. W) customer service takes more than 24 hrs to reply to help ticket x) server does not maintain steady latency, in heavy populated areas latency dramatically increases. Y) combat begins immediatley after a video, not allowing for any out of combat buffs or preparations z) as a player travels across the landscape of ilum, the position of said player is broadcasted to the entire planet population
