  1. I hate to say it but Asian mmos have such a bad taste to me atm. Aion and XIV were such let downs that I don't know if I could do it again ;( Game however looks gorgeous.
  2. Man, every time I watch the starting story for GW2 makes me wish the damn game was out ;(
  3. I don't think anything has reached the hype levels of TOR.
  4. My biggest issue is the overall GCD. Some of the time it just feels like my character is doing nothing.
  5. I'm fairly outspoken about the flaws of the game and the frustrations they cause. I'm by no means wishing the game to fail nor am I against most of the changes that they're implementing. I for one am glad they're not allowing AC changes(I don't know why they would...).
  6. It's not in the patch notes that's for sure. I'm not sure if a DEV or someone said that it would be fixed but it's defiantly not in the patch notes. But this is kinda funny... R1-V5 on 1/24/2012: And the most recent on 2/09/2012:
  7. That's what I find funny. Every mmo you decided to just skip through. Does that mean there wasn't a story? No. Most MMOs actually have had a more compelling story than this game if you were willing to read(I know a majority aren't willing to and in most cases I'm not either to be honest). These are just my opinions on the things you listed: Corruption effects: Only works 1 way not both - Makes female characters look like they have STDs in their mounts Big open worlds - Big Open empty worlds. Feels more like you're in a box than an open world. Space missions that take away from the general "grind" - They're fun for the first few times until you realize that they're repeats and just add more ships to the exact same set of rails. Would have preferred something more open but I'm sure that will come eventually. Questing to me was not a grind unlike most games. - Except it is... Collect the same things on the ground or from a drop. Kill x number of x. Same quests different skins. Feel apart of the universe or that your guy sort of matters. - Except we don't. Nothing ever changes in the world once we do something. There is no progressive zones. The things we do in space don't matter. The things we do in OPs don't matter. The things we do in FPs don't matter. There is 0 acknowledgement of your accomplishments.
  8. Damn, you must be a masochist to the extreme.... I'm just confused how you never enjoyed any of those other games but enjoy this one. Is it the VAs that did it for you? Because that's pretty much the only difference between this game and most of the others on the market.
  9. What MMO did you enjoy that most people didn't? I'm sure there's one. I think the current iteration of the game is **** also. But I did enjoy leveling my first character. 2nd character is 45 and I can't seem to login more than a few minutes to do stuff on the GTN and send out companions for crafting. I post here because it's the most active forums I visit.
  10. It actually kept me longer than this game has so far lol.
  11. Only reason the game was shut down was due to licensing. Guess what, next Star Wars mmo you will say the exact same thing. "Sounds like you want a TOR 2... How is that game doing by the way? Oh yeah, shut down." ^ it may take 5, 10, 15 years, but eventually, someone will want to make another mmo with Star Wars being it's main attraction and TOR will be shut down in place of that one.
  12. My point is you can't blame the rig. Oooo my pride and joy. So full of it aren't you.
  13. BS, I have X-Fire 6850 and I still get lag in situations.
  14. BS, the character creation in this game is the worst I've seen since WoW.
  15. 1/2 the time we fight empire. Sometimes Republic and even then 1/2 the time we fight republic it's still hutt ball!
  16. Until Ilum or some new PVP planet is made this is the best option. No one really cares because 1/2 the time you're going against your own faction.
  17. I miss games that took longer than a week to hit cap
  18. By all estimates didn't TOR not gain 300k from initial box sales?
  19. Yeah, but Feb is probably considered ancient times as far as stocks are concerned lol.
  20. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. But it seems to happen every patch. And it's not that we don't get much info, it just seems we get none. They don't ever comment on any of the larger topics. I doubt it's because they're not paying attention. I just think they need a better community manager. I think if people see them reaching out and say "we're aware of x issue" it helps. But then again, if they claim to fix something more than twice and it's still broken then people start to flip their lid. Look at what happened with the last Ilum patch. It took a while for them to respond the first time. Then about 8 hours for them to respond again.
  21. Not going to argue. It defiantly has potential. I think it's just disappointing that they rushed it because they wanted to beat everything else out the door. That was their biggest issue. Everything else is going to be subjective from person to person. TOR was immerseive the first time through for me as well. Then I made an ALT and that got shot out the window because everything was the exact same the second/third time through. Tie in the WZ wins not counting and it just becomes frustrating. Also with the Illum no roll back was completely unfair to those that were on the short end of the stick.
  22. Most the bug fixes they put in place either don't fix things or break something else. Yes they do fix bugs but half the time something else pops up. It's something around a 1:1 ratio of break:fix or 2:1 break:fix... The Dev tracker is actually fairly empty. Yesterday was probably one of their biggest post days with about 6 posts. Some of which was patch notes and commenting in their own threads. On a day to day basis you'll see more Dev post that have to do with "don't troll" or "we're locking this tread" than you will commenting about issues.
