dont worry, thats to account for the 75% more troopers that have been rolled in the past week..

some people are stuck on class quests, (bugged) and even more are stuck on illum quests.. i myself for example cannot complete the illum story quest line, so i cant get to the bonus series, so i cant get the dailies for my comms, which puts those players at a huge disadvantage for earning daily comms. when can those players expect to be able to continue their character progression? its coming close to 6 months now for some and i can bet they want to continue their characters that are bugged in quests... i know i do! how hard is it to reset a quest, quest line, etc.. and why isnt there an option for your GM's to do this for players?

so wait.. you're telling me that 4 'warriors' and a healer will take out 1 person in a blink of an eye? hrm.. you're right, that does need looking into..

its part of the game.. part of the punishment... part of the experience... thats just the way it is... lets say for instance, john doe, world famous baseball player hit a homerun.. everyone knows its a point.. but he still has to run around the bases, thats just the way it is. should the change the game because john is tired of running around the bases? i mean a homerun is a homerun right? then the coach tells john to just run around the bases.. so john does.. then john realizes.. you know what? its not that big of a deal at all.

i find the map a bit lacking as well.... i can buy the idea that they want you to explore to find the areas and such.. but what if i already have, what if my map is clear.. i still cant look over the map in its entirety, with all its zones and subzones even though i have already discovered the area. i dont go back to nar shadda anymore after i cleared the map, its too hard to navigate, the map isnt very intuitive on the directions to go when you get to a place like nar shadda (unless of course you just follow the quest markers). now having said that, i dont know of a way to make the current map better for planets and zones that are laid out verticaly as well as horizontaly, maybe some kind of isometric view that you can rotate? but i do know that navigating the map and trying to find your way through a new zone can be cumbersome at best sometimes.

it has ended.. this is only going to get worse as more and more events come and go.. if you want the codex fixed we need to be vocal about it, it seems more people would rather cry about the small sniper buff, or the tact that they were "forced" to participate in the world event, cry about server transfers that they said they were working on, cry about SGRA's, etc, etc, etc.... there is a very small handful of people that care about the codex entries and how almost HALF of them are bugged. if you want your codex fixed you need to voice your opinion, help us all by posting every week in the Q&A thread, voice your opinions on the forums, fill out bug reports over and over again.. let them know we want it fixed! how do you expect to get that codex entry? you never will now, they wont just "give it to you" they had a codex bug mentioned a couple days back that got fixed (pertaining to the event) and they told everyone that they're sorry you didnt get credit for it, but it has been fixed and to go try again. well, what if there is no event to try again? if we sit quietly and patiently nothing ever gets done, i guess we have to be like the vocal QQ'ers then, maybe we could at least get some information on when this will be resolved..

the pvp items vendor on the fleet, he sits by the mailbox in the combat area, sorry if you're republic im not exactly sure on your guys ship layout. not the guys in the alcoves that sell the pvp gear, but the ones outside those alcoves, a PVP items vendor and PVP weapons vendor flank each side of a mailbox. you can buy warzone comms for your old merc comms

time sinks... the longer you play, the longer you sub... the longer you sub, the more money you give them... the more money you give them, the richer they are...

your computer doesnt show file extensions, so when you thought you put an EXE extension on the end of the file the actual file name was something like Launcher.exe.txt so when you click on it you open the text file with the name "launcher.exe" right click start > open windows explorer (or if in xp click 'explore") press ALT, then click TOOLS, then click OPTIONS, then click the view tab, then find the option that says "hide extensions for known file types" and unmark that radio box. then click ok, ok, ok, ok, ok... now look at the file you created, you'll see the TXT extension..

1: after logging in, at the very very top right, you'll see your logon name, left click it 2: left click your avatar 3: now click your statistics tab 4: profit

i understand that.. and again, since im at work i cant verify anything other than it does launch the game.. im just wondering why it would run better by starting the launcher from batch file, than from shortcut.. thats all

not that this wont/doesnt work.. but im trying to figure out why starting the launcher from the START command would give it any benifit from starting the launcher by double clicking the icon on the desktop/start menu. you've gave laucher.exe no extra priority, no special parameters.. effectivly all you did was make a different shortcut to the launcher and start it by batch file rather than the default LNK file that gets created after install. *shrugs* EDIT: also the path for x64 would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic which does work on win7 x64 (tried myself and opens launcher fine, didnt try to start game though, at work) ANOTHER EDIT: i didnt rename the file i created launcher.exe as specified in step 3, i named it launcher.BAT exe's are compiled, dont think you can just put exe on the end of a file and it miracously works. again *shrugs*

illum the blowing snow sucks... whos bright idea was it to put a 100,000 x 100,000 polygon mesh across the whole planet with transparency.. i wondered why people always complained about low FPS in illum.. its not necessarly all the PVP you (did) see there, its cause of environmental effects.. then when you put people in on top of the mix.. its just terrible

why am i being "stuck" in combat more and more and more... you gotta love it, for whatever reason some mob aggro's you, and you cant find the mob that aggro'd you so now you cant do jack... cant logout, cant zone, cant ride a taxi, cant loot, cant heal up, cant enter an instance.. the only thing you can do is quit the game, wait 5 min or so for your char to logout, THEN reconnect.. or find the mob that has aggroed you. its been happening more and more lately.. anyone else notice?

not just that, but there is an Ally option also.. im going to assume that your crew (companions) would be considered allies.. we should be able to add companions to the family tree period, after all we did level them up as well... sorta

i like the new layout, i dont see how "yellowish" and/or "white" text on a dark grey background is "hard to read" as some others put it. seems they're just out to complain regardless *shrugs*. a couple minor things i see that could be changed: 1.when you login now, it doesnt redirect you to where you were previously, IE: you're reading a forum post, want to reply (but youre not logged in). you click the login button and successfuly logon to the forums, but now you have to find your post again to reply to it, you're not redirected to where you were previously. 2. when you're reading a multi-page thread, regarding the page indicator numbers at the bottom of the page. your current page is the same as pages you are not on, even hovering the mouse over the << 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 >> all appear with underline decoration indicating a link, but your current page isnt a link/clickable, it does say: "page 2 of 13" or whatever so its not impossible to find out what page of the thread you're on, but its can be a bit confusing

force a refresh on your side, your computer is offering up a cached page instead of the actual site... other than BW putting code in to force your browser to d/l the latest page, or version numbering its not really a BW issue, its a browser/user issue. by default, i belive in IE and FF, you can force your browser to d/l a current copy of the page by presing CTRL+F5. you can also change settings in IE (your version my vary slightly) Go to Tools\Internet Options, then click on the Settings button in Browsing History, then select the Every time I visit the webpage radio button. this may however marginaly slow down your normal browsing experience as it wont offer you cached content and will have to download everything everytime even if it hasnt changed.
