  1. That's an amazing amount of healing, and definitely the most I have ever seen. Did your friend get MVP? I would hope so. On my server we now so over-gear the Empire and thus dominate them in the overwhelming majority of our 50s matches that all of us healers have seen our healing numbers fall dramatically. The enemy simply cannot deal enough damage for any of us healers to post anything near this level of healing. Last night we averaged 1 death per game for the entire team, not per person. It is becoming that lopsided. I will look down the ops bar and always see: full green, 98% green, full green, 95% green, and so on. I'm probably going to respec to balanced until the Empire gets better gear and players on our server.
  2. I agree with most of these comments. As a 50 Sage I can almost always use enough spells to successfully run away from a single DPSer when I am their target and am alone. It is, however, more difficult when two have made me their target. An escape is possible, however, if both have their cc breaker still cooling down. And, Sages that are spec'd as healers really should follow tanks and/or groups or run to them when being damaged. Moreover, I cannot tell you how many times an enemy has made me their #1 target when I am in a group of 3-5 and somehow think that they will manage to kill me before they themselves are killed. This literally happens every single night, if not multiple times each night, and has yet to be successful. So many players see Sages/Sorcs as their easy "Assassin" medal. This only works when we're alone and you're with someone else. One final thing, try not to use any of your cooldown spells when not necessary (i.e., using force sprint for no reason, stunning an enemy that will die soon, etc.). These come in handy in tight spots.
  3. I've been at the bag thing since hitting 50 on January 3rd. I've only missed two dailies since then but I am still missing 3 pieces (but have 13 duplicates). I'm not upset though. Random is fair; it gives everyone an equal chance. Some will be more lucky than others and some will be less lucky than others but most acquisitions will fall along the normal curve. I should also point out that I did PVE quests to compensate and feel that the Columi and Rakata gear I acquired from these, while not granting expertise, work quite well in PVP. I have just enough champion pieces to push my expertise above 400, so while I do not have a complete PVP set, I hold my own because of the PVE pieces. In other words, there are other ways of getting good gear.
  4. Same situation as on my server (Fa'Athra). My guild estimates that since 1.1 the Republic has won at least 70% of the 50s matches here, and that is probably a conservative estimate. The Empire has even stopped queueing for games recently because of their constant losses. I actually wish it was more competitive because now the Republic gets nothing but huttball game after huttball game. There are some good players on their side; we just don't seem them enough.
  5. This is great. I agree 100%. One thing I would add is this: please don't force healers to have to lead on mission objectives in PVP. We're not as equipped for this. It is my job to heal you so that YOU can accomplish mission objectives more so than us. When you stay back to kill those two guys with 1/3 health left, you may not realize it, but you're actually giving the enemy an opportunity to regroup, move to the doors, move to the turrets, gather around the huttball etc., and you're also helping to cause the dispersal of our team, allowing for easier pickings by the enemy. I will attach myself to those tanks or DPSers who understand the warzone's objectives and then stay in your range for healing. However, like this post said, don't allow the enemy to make us the sacrificial lamb. Good PVPers know to take out the enemy's healers. Good PVPers also know that they must protect their own.

    Warzone ettiquette

I totally agree. Although this topic is well traveled on this forum, those of us who defend the entrances to our side during Huttball, race ahead to plant bombs and extend bridges on Voidstar, and defend a side in Alderaan often (but not always) do not get the number of badges, valor points, and thus commendations that those who jump into the middle of the fight do. We then look like the weakest members on the victory/defeat screen. Is it any wonder that people don't stick to game objectives? People in my guild openly talk about this. Last night in Voidstar I single handedly planted every door bomb, extended the bridge, disabled the force field, and reached the data core and was rewarded by having the 5th worst # of medals (it would've been even lower if not for the defender aspect). Granted, my premade did a fabulous job of defense and letting me go ahead, and thus deserved medals they received, but something must be given to those who actually accomplish game objectives.
  7. I agree. My server is not even low population either and there have been absolutely no 50s warzones at all. The number of 10-49 warzones has also dropped dramatically for some reason. I also don't understand why people are saying "warzone with your alt." We put a lot of work into our 50s and we are now not allowed to enjoy them? I'm not at all saying things should go back to the way they were, because the idea of a 50s bracket is indeed fair, but there were and are other options (see the many posts containing these) that would allow those of us in the 50s to play once more.

    Nothing has Changed!

If the Imperials are camping outside the Republic's base can you try either going into the warzone on your speeder or taking a speeder to the other warzone shuttle locations? If the Imperials are camping out in all 4 locations (just outside the tunnel leading into the Ilum warzone, the Republic base, and the two other landing pads) then there's probably a severe population imbalance on your server. But it may be that you will now have to perpetually go in with your guild, just like the Imperials probably do. That's probably the intent of the developers anyway now.

    50 Bracket fix

Although it only happened a few times pre 1.1, I really enjoyed only playing with 50s because I was able to do what my Sage was meant to do: heal, interrupt, protect, etc. and not constantly be forced into becoming a pure damage dealer because my teammates won't engage the enemy. That said, I was unable to play even one game yesterday after seven hours in queue on a consistently high population server (so homework it was). I was in a group of three other 50s for four hours and nothing popped. At least give us a chance to play. Hopefully by February more 50 matches pop (or at all).
  10. You were able to play? Not one 50 match popped for anyone on my guild of 254 members today, and it's not a low population server.
  11. Who has logged in and seen successful spawn farming happen on their server in the Ilum warzone? Please post your server's name. I saw it happen earlier this afternoon on Jung Ma while watching my brother play but it's not happening on Fa'Athra, where my main resides (a weak attempt at it did happen earlier though). Just slightly unbalanced PVP is all that's happening now. It would be interesting to see if this is just isolated to a few servers.
  12. This is EXACTLY the issue. The turrets are a red herring allowing Imp defenders to pull that argument down while ignoring the real issue of spawn camping. Nothing is happening on my server anymore in Ilum in this regard (it was earlier) but it's still continuing on my brother's server in a major way. I have no idea why Republic players keep going to Ilum's warzone on this server despite constant messages over general warning them not to and whispers sent to people as they arrive at the spaceport above Ilum. Either Imp alts, people with social minimized, or hero types thinking they will somehow wipe out those 120 Level 50s waiting to destroy them as they land.
  13. Ummm....So I just watched my brother's guild of 15 level 50s try to retake the Republic base on Ilum. Although each departed within 3 seconds of each other, they all arrived 1-by-1 which greatly limited their chances of forming any sort of strategy that you seem to call for. My bro was instantly stunned, electrocuted, and dead within 3 seconds, as was all but two of the guild. In other words, what you're doing isn't strategy, it's an exploit. I'm not saying the Republic wouldn't do the same thing, b/c they would, but you're taking advantage of something that has nothing to do with PVP skill.
  14. I was just able to get into Ilum (after being chased 1 hr ago by 5 Imps at the Republic's spawn point) and I agree with this post: I am not getting any valor for killing Imp turrets on the Fa'athra server. Someone needs to take a deep breath and cogently explain to us what exactly is happening. To me there seems to be two issues: 1) Imp guilds hoarding the Republic spawn points (which is what all these pictures and videos represent and which clearly is a problem), and, 2) Turret valor points. The only valor I am seeing is for killing other players.
  15. Hmmm...This problem needs rectifying. I just went to Ilum to pick up my (new) daily 30 armaments/PVP kills and was met by 5, Level 50 Imps at the landing zone in the Republic base. I was the only Republic player on the entire planet. I was able to force speed and block spells my way out of our own base but the new warning message Bioware has on Ilum alerted me to the fact that were 15 or so Imps in Central Assault. Obviously I didn't go there to pick up the armaments for the daily quest but rather got out of there on my speeder. My point is this: because of the population imbalance in favor of the Imps on our server, they will easily be able to achieve their daily 30 armaments and 150 weekly ones but those of us who are on the Republic side will find it very difficult to achieve the same unless we play like at 3:00 a.m. In other words, this has absolutely nothing to do with skill or Republic players being bad. Even if all 10 of us level 50s in my guild went to Ilum together we would still likely lose because from what I saw all there were part of the same Imp guild. Moreover, I've NEVER seen more than 8 Republic people on Ilum at any given time on our server, not even on Saturdays, (minus the 3 level 12 credit farmers who tend to be there a lot) and yet there were 20 Imps waiting for me at 10:30 a.m. in the morning just now. Heaven knows how many must be there on Saturdays if they have 20 at the moment. And while it was never unusual to see far more Imps in the Ilum warzone than Reps, I was almost always able to go to another part of the PVP warzone to destroy the tanks where there weren't Imps to achieve the daily 5 section conquers (so it was never a problem). Being forced to pick up armaments in Central Assault changes things because the Imps are just parked there. My guild said that large numbers of Imps have been there all morning. Again, it will be far more work for the Reps to achieve their dailies on my server than it will be for the Imps. So not skill. Imbalance.
  16. While I agree this change is fair I wonder if it was a few weeks premature? The Imps have a lot of 50s on my server who play PVP but having played hundreds of matches over the past five days I've noticed that the Republic side is lucky to have two levels 50s in any given match. As such, the number of level 50 games are likely to be greatly limited for awhile here. On my server the Imps will probably be able to play Huttball against each other in the 50s bracket but having been in a queue for 2 hours with no success, being able to achieve the three daily wins doesn't seem possible for some time. Furthermore, I feel like I know the level 50s on the Republic side who play at least two matches a day and they only number 5. Again, this change was, in my opinion, the right one but probably too soon.
