  1. Yea ill post some good stuff after i get outa work. for now i'll link this old vid of me right after i hit 50 soloing a mara that outgeared me quite a bit at the time.   2. My main(and only lvl 50) is a sorc, 7/31/3 rank 78sih valor, and i dominate. granted im full BM but i have been playing as 31 lightning since i hit lvl 50. The spec DOES have its short comings, but its is far from unplayable in pvp. Ive tried hybrid and 31 madness. I stopped playing hybrid because it was WAY too easy, and i wasnt having fun.31 madness was good enought but i like to burst. Ive achieved 5k crits pre AND post surge nerf. Ive beaten some of the best mara's, juggs, and mercs on my server 1v1 (still working on ops/powertechs) but the game isnt about 1v1 anyway. I find it anyoying that some ppl see the sorc as being "dead" in pvp in 1.2. good players will adapt and see that burst is very possible with 31 lightning and that the amount of control the 31 madness spec has is more than enough to make up for its lack of burst.
  3. I have to disagree, im a rank 76 War Hero and i'm always at the top of the charts as 31 lightning (7/31/3). I refused to play hybrid because it was just too easy. Recently I've been playing 31 madness and im doing even better than I was as lightning. Both specs have their short commings, but they are FAR from "unplayable" dps sorc will still be extremely viable after the nerf to the hybrid spec that ppl have been using as a crutch. The massive amout of utility a sorc has out weighs the lack of one spell from your rotation.
  4. There's also certain tricks, mostly in huttball, that add to the sorc's skill cap. Things like using force speed to make jumps over the pit from catwalks, breaking in coming "break on damage" cc with consumption(drains a portion of health to gain force). Also using extrication to pull ball carriers. On of my favs is using the knock back to give your jugg/power tech a better jump target, or an easier score.
  5. I play a sorc( 7/31/3 lightning valor rank 70, 8/14 slots BM and the rest champion) and i would much rather lose the potency of my casted heals than lose my bubble. DPS sorc are far to versitle, all the utility is needed (especially with the long cast times of the lightning tree), the potency of self heals is not. Prior to the surge nerf i had no problem getting 5k dark infusion crits on my self and wtih as much damage as i do, i shouldn't be able to heal my self for that much with 1 spell. I say reduce the baseline healing and increase the healing talents in corruption so that Sorc healers are unphased by the reduction. The bubble is needed, if we didnt have it we could get crushed by melee classes that know how to counter our utility.
  6. I disagree with the con, agree with everything else. I always top charts in warzones as 31 lightning, granted im in half BM half champ gear. 31 Lightning has plenty of tools for getting off those long cast times that are the weakness of the spec. The spec requires more awareness and positioning than the hybrid madness specs and is harder to play effectively. Also has less room for error/misused utility spells but provides bigger burst on ballcarriers/healers. Im 7/31/3 for the 10% aoe dmg/healing talent to boost chain lightning for thundering blast->instant chain lighting combos (ive done 3.5k TB into a 3.9-4k CL on many occasions and 4k TB into a 5.2k CL when the stars aligned ) But, all this is in my all bm/champ gear while surge stacking so i guess ill be respecing after the nerf and I'll only be getting the 5k dmg medal in my dreams
  7. Not sure if your trolling. If you arent trolling then i'd say the people your fighting are getting more and more expertise(the stat that boost damage, damage reduction and healing in pvp) while your expertise is staying the same. If you are trolling, then you were half-successful!

Willpower: 1474 Endurance: 1387 (16370 HP) Expertise: 629 (Matrix cube instead of 2nd Champion relic) Bonus Dmg: 592 Crit: 32.54% Crit Multiplier: 87.44% I'm waiting on a guild run for the +10 to stats. Other than that, i believe i have every willpower/endurance datacron in the game. Yes, i'm stacking as much crit/surge as i can, but i'm using the crit/surge enhancements that give more endurance (advanced assault enhancement 24). Since the BM Sorc sets barely have any crit/surge im using mods from the champion(lvl 56) sets in my BM set pieces.When im full BM im gonna spend BM comms on gear to gut for mods.
  9. I hear ya, but some guy posted about getting his first 5k crit as Hybrid spec a few days ago and i figured it was unheard of as a sorc so i thought i would share mine as Lightning spec (which is quite underplayed in pvp from what ive seen).

Got the 5k Damage in one hit medal in Huttball with an instant Chain lightning(there was another enemy close by that got crit for 4721 ) .The player i crit for 5057 was most likely undergeared and i had power relic/red buff on. I'm 7/31/3. Those 7 pts in corruption are the main reason i get such high crits from CL. I'm 7/14 slots BM and the rest Champion gear. Just wanted to share my awesomeness, ill also answer any questions.   12. I disagree, he should try lightning spec. The skill cap is quite a bit higher than the madness and hybrid spec most sorcs are rolling, but the burst damage is there. Get as much crit and surge as u can and hope rng is on your side and u will definatly be putting out some noticable numbers.

I agree, i pug as lighning and its very viable, I stack crit/surge and pull off fairly decent burst, and incredible burst if i get lucky with rng(polarity shift into thundering blast into instant chain lighting+forked lightning proc with recklessness into shock with chain shock proc =8k+ dmg in a matter of seconds) . The skill cap on lightning spec is higher imo, requires better posistion and awarness then Madness and the hybrid specs, and results in a more satisfying play style for me.
  14. at least be specific about what you want nerfed. its the HYBRID madness spec that is overpowered. I play sorc my self and i know this. The 31 pt lightning and 31 pt madness specs are far from overpowered. I play 31 lightning (cant stand the idea of spam force lighning) and the spec is fairly balenced. I have alot of utility and i need it for my long cast times. My dot dmg is negligible and force lightning is ony used when i get the proc to reduce the channel time,and instant chain lightning is proc'd by hard casted lightning strike. Other than that,if i want to do any kind of significant damage, i need to hard cast, and put my self in a decent postion to do so. If i dont ill get los'd or have a melee beating my face in while im trying to get off a 1.9 sec thundering blast.
  15. Unless they implement it into the story. There could be a quest (questline) to defect to the republic(empire). This would allow for a seemless transfer of your character and abilities. Although for force users this might prove more difficult. A jedi sage using force lightning for example would be awkward. They could however use the darkside/lightside system for abilities. Its unrealistic that this could happen anytime soon, but it would be a great idea for an expansion.
