  1. Play around with the voices some before you dedicate to an entire character. I personally can only play a male SI because it was my first 50 and the voice actor is so ingrained into my mind as being The Sith Inquisitor, that anything else strikes me as wrong. But on the flip side, I prefer the female voice actors for the majority of the classes for varying reasons. The male bounty hunter sounds like christen bale as batman and never stops that. The agent is kinda meh overall (haven't played a male in a long time so I have no specific reason). The warrior's male actor sounds kinda brutish which works but doesn't work for me. Pub side I think the knight's male actor just doesn't seem to fit the personality I imagine for a person facing those circumstances. The consular's male is horrible. He has this overdramatic hero thing going on which reminds me of Willam Shatner and a cartoon super hero mixed together. The trooper's voice fits well enough but doesn't fit a body type bigger than body type 3. I haven't tried a smuggler yet so I don't know what I think on them.
  2. I am happy with my sorc after 2.0 actually. But that doesn't mean I don't desire something cosmetic. I would love if a "covert" mainhand were implemented. Sorcs never use their light saber in melee and with some of the motions our hands go through while casting, the animation is kinda off. Take force storm as an example, you kinda wave your wrists around and your saber moves just because its there. It doesn't add to anything in our animations

Each seems like it'll come from a different developer from under EA. I'm excited for more starwars games but I am worried that EA will treat these up and coming games just like all of their other games. Thought?
  4. I remember buying this on my xbox has a young kid since it had Star Wars in it. When I tried it I was engrossed by the world but somehow lost the disk :/ Tried a few times to get back into it. I managed to go back and actually play it all of the way through. I agree the graphics are kinda horrible but meh, the combat was amazing. Each of the skills felt unique and nicely visualized. Even during pauses the tense atmosphere of combat was present. But unfortunately I actually learned the plot twist via friends so the story lost a lot of its shock value to me. The story is extremely well done and I would love to go back in a couple of months to correct some mistakes I made like having Big Z kill Mission. Even in an evil run through I tried to avoid such a heart breaking decision That said I enjoy the game play, I love the story, and the characters are all extremely well done. But I can't get into the Revan club, I suppose the lack of a voice kind of prevents me revering him. I dislike Revan since he is hyped up a lot.
  5. What achievement are you referring to? When I saw your post I thought damn that sucks and went to check it out on my legacy tab. So far I see nothing in there about chapter 1 completion for agents. I see the warrior jaesa thing but nothing in the agent. Also I haven't actually logged into my sniper if that is a cause.
  6. Do Sith Lords have to pay electricity bills? Are baby wookies as cuddly as they sound? Does Darth Vader sometimes force choke himself before he beats his wookie?
  7. Other then the new PVE end game gear all I've seen are re-colors of the battlemaster gloves. Personally I like the Arkanian chest/gloves myself. They give Inquisitors an armored look without going overboard. But I like my supreme robe/raven's mask combo too much. Currently on live I use the Supreme Inquisitor's Robe, Revan's mask, Sith Raider Gloves, and the Czerka Guerrilla legs/boots. Once 2.0/makeb releases all I will be doing is changing the Sith Rader Gloves for the Arkanian gloves. I will then we extremely happy
  8. *drools* this looks amazing. I hope it releases sometime, preferably soon. But it does seems to draw heavily from Call of Duty and Battlefield with that Helicopter/Imp shuttle scene, the weapon design in said scene, and the "riot" shield near the end. Part of me is saying this is a rip off and lacks originality due to those clips but another part of me is saying **** it its star wars!
  9. I'd like to trade Lightning Barrage (lightning) for Focal Lightning (Madness). Since crit got a whack by the nerf bat the barrage proc is inconsistent and madness doesn't use alacrity for much.
  10. If you have the credits sure go ahead. The 63 gear will give you a leg up in leveling and starting the new gear grind. However I'd say instead if buying mats or individual pieces, try raiding. At least then you get some 63s (even if not bis) and the bonuses attached to the armorings. If you enjoy min/maxing then definitely do it. But if you don't then just wait for 2.0 so you can get the stock 69s
  11. I loved this episode. The entire first 15mins was almost a replay of 1313's debut gameplay trailer. The references were both sudden and easy to spot. Very good writing, very good animation, good atmosphere and good cliff hanger at the end. This is what Star Wars is to me. So much was done so well in this episode. I cannot wait for the next.
  12. It was a nice event. I thought the Gray Secant was a nice little touch. Sadly I won't be reaching champion today since I screwed up last week's cap. But oh well I can wait. Its not that important. The legacy sabers are cool but I was only going to use them to transfer hilts
  13. On the live server my Sorc uses the Supreme Inqusitor's Robe, the Czerka Guerilla legs and boots, Sith Raider gloves, and the legacy head piece. It creates a Darth presence (like from the movies) while keeping the armored attire more appropriate for this era. But I found that the Arkanian Chest and gloves plus the Czerka pants and boots creates a Juggernaut character with lightning. Truly bad ***. Only real compliant about the Arkanian gear is that it only comes in red, I've yet to find anything with the same model but different color scheme, Big problems of both sets is that they are expensive to buy (if you don't want to pay for CCs) and get kind of expensive to repair. Also Arkanian gear is obviously not obtainable on live servers but only on the PTS.
  14. I'll go see about Chaos Nexus, looks like I glossed over it when I was filing out my skill tree. Given how often I use the Recklessness+Polarity shift combo the DPS loss could be either fully or fractionally from that. EDIT: I think I need to go parse on the ship dummy. During my sorc parse I noticed a lot of lag and Affliction clipping. Its possible that my dps will go up then. If worse comes to worse I could try respeccing to madness to see how that compares. I did a similar length test on my pts sniper with the gear from vendors and without any optimization. The results were a 1900 dps which was shocking. Based on those two parses I've come to the conclusion that I am facing hyperbole, my own mistakes, or a combination of the two. I am leaning towards my own mistakes and will have to work my rotations and look for a lag free environment.
  15. My rotation is similar to yours, almost exactly the same in fact. The only notable differences are my opening and when I use Recklessness. My opening is: Affliction>Thundering Blast>Crushing Darkness>Lightning Strike (unless Barrage or Conduction occur)> reapply DoTs Then I save Recklessness for Conduction and I use Polarity shift on CD. I also try to use Force Lightning before Chain Lightning so that possible second strike doesn't eat up a charge of Recklessness. Oh and I don't use shock at all in my rotation since on live it worsens my DPS. Considering how BW moved Chain Shock (is that the sin name or both?) to tier one lightning tree, I'm stuck with it so I might as well try it out. I'll have to give it a shot with the clicky relics since I still favor the elemental DG proc and the matrix cube. Right now my total crit and lack of 1% alacrity feels horrible but doesn't seem to make a difference.
  16. Anyone know a good rotation and build? When I parsed on live and on PTS I noticed a +500 dps (1557 to 2083) right off the bat in pure Arkanian gear with no optimization minus the removal of the accuracy enhancement. I ran with a sorc on my tank who says he is pulling 2.3k and I've seen parses o 2.3k. Currently I am running 5/36/5, my stats are: ~2400 end (28k hp) ~2650 wp crit 25% (333ish rating) surge 68% (can't remember rating, will edit in) alacrity 7.8% (450ish rating) power: ~1000 (1.3k bonus damage) Based on the stat difference between live and PTS, the lose of 10% crit and 7% surge shouldn't account for 300 dps. So I'm thinking its my rotation which is the same in live and PTS.
  17. I would make a few minor changes. Overall I felt the story was set up well except for Thanaton. I would have him being replaced by Ffon as the main antagonist. Thanaton was introduced late in the story. Replacing him with Ffon creates a real rival and villain. I suppose Ffon could be apprenticed to Thanaton or Skotia and he kills them to move up in the power chain. Then he decides to turn his power base against you. Then boom chapters 2 and 3 are the same except with Ffon replacing Thanaton.
  18. While looking over the Sorc changes I've noticed two peculiar things that escaped my attention the first time through. First Revivification is being nerfed by roughly 10% due to the changes in Force Suffusion. While overload becoming a heal seems interesting, I wonder if the bonus healing from Suffusion will be moved directly into the Revivification talent since it too is being changed. The second and probably most shocking thing is that Static Barrier (stun bubble) isn't receiving a definite nerf. While it is being changed, the changes appear to be percentage wise not anything solid. Even though this is datamined and the accuracy cannot be 100% it still is interesting.
  19. Why not raise the credit drop amount from EC/EV/KP to what it is I'm TFB. EV and KP were hardly worth the effort since they only give columi/tion drops in sm and Rakata in hm. No stabs and nothing else worth mentioning. With the credit raise, small guilds can cover progressive wipes and well people might have a little more incentive to run new members through the easier stuff.
  20. That would make more sense then. Initially I took it as something like static barrier, cast once and cast something else. But if it were a channel then I agree with you, it wouldn't be op. it would be nice during the do nothin phases in raids.
  21. I'm liking the lightning changes. Not sure how much dps it'll add but it seemed Bioware actually took some advice that was given to them. Also I am intrigued by that Alacrity boost in the corruption tree. I wonder if it'll be low enough to grab. Hell even if it turns out to be a +3% overall increase I can see it being worth the points. I think I am misreading the skill but with Mental Momentum, does Crushing Darkness have to be applied to the target in order to receive the second Thunder Blast hit? If it doesn't YAAAY that's a nice boost. If it does, well its a burst thing and I'll still be happy to get it. Not too sure about Phasewalk and Force Barrier. The two of them seem like too much. I think they'll be great at first. But then the smashers will complain yet again and it'll be nerfed badly Overall this leak has made me hope that Bioware is finally giving us sorcs some love. But I hope that my hopes and dreams aren't shattered
  22. I'd like to see a movie on what happens to the clones after the Clone War, in between the trilogies, and what happens to them during the Galactic Civil War. I feel there has been enough content (Republic Commando, TCW, Battlefront games, and books) to make the clones into individual and memorable characters. But bring plagued by rapid aging, I'd also want the clone story to represent the story of all clones.
  23. So I finally decided to watch TCW. I started from season one and I am workin my way up. But I noticed something odd in the early part of season three. In the episode where the senate must vote ok deruglating the banks, five million new clones are mentioned as the prime reason for deruglation. I can see that clones are expensive the grow, train, feed, transport and arm throughout their career. But five million seems like an awfully small number given the fact that the war is being fought across the majority of the galaxy. With planetary invasions, occupations, space battles, and used duty, I thought there should be many many more clones. I'm basing my idea off of the fact that ~500k troops were sent to Vietnam, and a couple hundred thousand were sent to Iraq and Afghanistan with surges of roughly 40k to help with those conflicts. Even if you combine the area of those three countries, they take up an insignificant amount of area compared to the rest of the planet. That said, the ratio between real life troop deployments and the fictional troop deployments of TCW seems much too similar.
  24. Looking at your suggestions I've come to the conclusion that your damage buffs are much better than you cast time reductions. Coming from a Lighting Build, cast times are long but not an issue. Polarity Shift, 4 Item PVE set bonus, and alacrity combined makes even a Force Lightning cast (2.7 seconds without any procs) into an average of 1.4 seconds. When the stars align and I have all of my procs up, its a 1 second cast time. Your proposed cast times would be insane for a Lightning spec and powerful for a madness or hybrid. I don't object to your proposed damage increases because it would take parsing and proper rotations to test it fully. I am personally fine without a "free cast" type of ability like rapid shots since we have Affliction. It is much better for multi-target fights and with our excellent resource management I see little reason to include one. A free cast akin to rapid shots is only used in other dps rotations to conserve their resources, not increase dps. We are fine without it.
  25. I agree there is plenty of "sexy" armor in the game that was designed specifically for female toons. Every thing else is annoying beyond belief. If I wanted my toons/companions to be strippers, I'd buy the gear off the GTN. That said I have one exception to my statement. It would be the Despot's chest piece and any other model similar. I feel it looks less stupid in a female toon than a male.
