  1. The title of this got my attention. The first few lines confirmed that you should have used the term MPD or multiple personality disorder. If SWTOR fans were exhibiting signs of schizophrenia they might be hearing voices, seeing things that are not there or crafting elaborate fantasies/delusions that they are the center of a conspiracy.....oh wait...you are unwittingly correct...lol ; )-
  2. For all the constructive comments, thank you. Thylbanus you make me want to switch to the jedi covenant. Anywho, I don't claim my comments as truth or as free of error in fact or perception. With that, I'm gonna leave this sausagefest and merely say, smell you later.
  3. Meesa no agree with you me thinkin.......nuff said.
  4. Ok, so this is a qq and alot of you may be annoyed at this however I got some points to make as I really am thinking of unsubbing again. I have been a fan of SW since ANH and have even been at comiccons with SW cosplay on, so my nerdom is assured in this respect.(I got a fine picture of yours truly in Grand Moff dress with Billy Dee Williams this past year.) When I first heard of SWTOR and saw the amazing launch videos (that should be made into movies but I digress) I was so hooked on the idea of joining this MMO even though I had no previous experience. I had played KOTOR and was really impressed with bioware as well. When I got here and started, I was hooked and I loved getting to know what the hell grinding, dps, kiting, and raiding were all about. Along the way I joined some nice and not so nice guilds that helped me through my learning experience. For one, I was hooked on the SW universe and two, I got to like the MMO community and gaming life as well. I loved spending time on the GTN, datacron hunting, and the PVE experience in general. I had leveled two 50s and was working on leveling two more on the opposite faction when an update hit that nerfed and augmented classes. As it happened, my BH was nerfed which was my favorite and my experience started a slow slide. To make matters worse, the server I was on depopulated. Around the same time, the guild I was in imploded from internal squabbles. So here I was left with a choice and not seeing BW step in to take down the ton of servers they had at launch, I unsubbed. Cold turkey it was. Fast forward seven months and I decided to give it another try because a friend had taken it up and wanted me to help him level. I am one and a half months in and have gone through the gree event and tried to raid and HM FP however it is tough to pug my way. I am wary of guilds now and yes I know they are my ticket to raiding, equiping, and the MMO experience. I am also aware of update 2.0 and I have even pre-paid the hutt cartel expansion. However, I have set in my mind that if 2.0 doesn't pan out, I will unsub and say goodbye to SWTOR for good. Why? I thought the SW universe would be more expansive and sandbox like. I thought the equipment and armour would be exotic and unique through unbridled crafting or through item drops. I thought there would be faction cities or ships (that could be invaded and taken over by the opposite faction) where we could hang out, watch looping reruns of all the SW movies at a fleet theater, play mingames, or plan raids of opposite faction ships/cities. I thought I would be able to explore a vast unvierse and get lost or find items that would be truly unique. I could go on but this would be a big wish list. What I didn't expect was how railgunner/call of duty-ish the maps would be, how unsupportive (even elitist in the "i'm the king of MMO knowledge" sense) people could be, how racist/phobic people could be (general chat), how hard it would be to raid/fp as a pug, how boring it would be waiting around fleet for your requests to get picked up, how silly and unfruitful crafting would be(with exception of biochem but for your use only), how repetitive/grindy it would be with dailies/weeklies, and how the game would evolve into a microtransaction money grab. Added to this, after seven months away, my new server is alien to me and it has a different vibe that I am still getting used to. Granted, I am a specifc type of user, married with kids, over thirty, and not a hardcore raider/pvper. I hardly have time to build my own guild and even join one and be a productive member as I only raid when I can get away from life responsibilities. It seems if I am not the ideal gamer type, this version of the SW MMO is going to pass me by. All this being said, it is a good game in many ways that says much about the gamer community and the game developers efforts, don't get me wrong. There is an experience for everyone here. After being educated as to what an MMO is through SWTOR, I count myself lucky. I will stick around to see what 2.0 has to offer and hopefully I can find a groove again in this game. If I take the long walk again, I hope the game continues to evolve to meet some of the interests that I have articulated.
  5. Thanks, I still don't know what I should do though..lol. My toons are a mixed bag of columi and tionese, rakata and gree gear. I just came back to TOR after a seven month hiatus away and left with a hodgepodge...I quit after my BH was nerfed and my server was as populated as an Arby's in India. Currently, the level 27 armor is anywhere from 500k to 900k a piece which is a bit much. If it came down to 250k, it would look ok but the mats themselves (for level 27 armor) come in at 450k in total alone. So I calculated if I equip level 27 armor with the number of peices I need, I would expend at least 4.5 million credits not including the mods, enhancements and augments. Don't even get me started on augments and that credit sink...lol Anywho, again, thanks for the feedback.
  6. Especially considering the new entry level epic armor is going to outstrip 150 level armor? I wanted to get people's take on this. I have credits to expend to get my toons up to 150 level armoring but I am wondering if I should just wait and save these credits. Thanks in advance.
  7. I have been away from TOR for 10 months and have resubbed. Things have changed and I wanted to get opinion on what the best credit making strategies are in relation to crafting and what the hot sellers are on the GTN. Before I left, credit hoarding was my pastime lol. It was small in comparison of the richest out there but I accumulated approx. 10 million credits on consistent GTN and other credit making pursuits. The economy of my server has also changed as I have been moved to the Bastion. Any feedback or a link to any previous postings on this subject is appreciated. Yours in TORdom.
  8. Well over all it seems to be going over ok, pvpers are miffed at the rated warzone stiff and others are sore over thier class nerfs. I hear more people talking of unsubbing though than I have in the past while. PVE did get harder for some classes for sure. The one thing I couldn't get was why they did the medpac nerf....even though I probably do not use more than one other than when I am in a raid. (SOA) Anywho, they listened to those who were saying the game was too easy. For a real change, the fleet was well populated last night, I do expect this to level off again into normal range very soon. There was nothing earth shattering to keep people hooked all the time or to grow subs in my opinion. For my part, I still love the game and will keep playing until my mouse hand falls off.
  9. I am just starting to immerse into the 1.2 changes and for the most part, I see some positive aspects. I say this even if my BH is less potent however this is balanced by my mar getting augmented a bit. However I do know there are some rage quits that will start soon from some of our more colorful players. As such, I was wondering if you find a youtube or other video rage quit, place the link here so we can all bask in the pointed/funny/ridiclulous rage quits!
  10. I can also say that there is a link between a bad experience and being lied to. It makes little difference to disagree with someone's experience and opinion, its theirs after all.
  11. However, if indications are correct from other player experiences (including mine, I have a pretty good comp and I have to play this game on low), there is an issue with the software coding and its ability to optimize various PC set ups. This is just another soul who has a bad experience with the game in this way.

  13. Well it seems the first initial signs of this roll out are upon us early! Apparently, people are reporting the patch has come out already due to an "error". People are experiencing an initial download of approx 900mb and the client freezes. When they force close the program and restart, the client beings a whopping download of 11gb! At the end of this, there are people reporting further hangs. Is this an indication of things to come? Would have an advisory by bioware been helpful to those poor intrepid souls who thought they'd get some last minute gaming out of the way before the big patch? Stay tuned.
  14. Will it meet players needs or will it fall short? Thoughts or predictions?
  15. I have made an iffy move once before on a guy that stole a kill from me on hoth. I had just finished stunning an enemy when all of a sudden he comes and totally mauls him, taking the kill. In the insuing violence, adds were aggro'd and they ended up killing me instead of mister showsupandkillsmykills. So I revive and feel pissed but I am so ready to forget about this butthole when what do I run into a little ways away? He is killing a bunch of mobs to get to the same console I am wanting. So what do I do? I tapdance in as he's killing and I swipe the console and walk away as if nothing happened at all. Should I feel bad? No, I reason that this is the SWTOR universe balancing itself out. A few seconds later he spams general chat and calls out my name and that he hopes I die soon. We get into a war of words in which I quickly realize I'm probably dealing with a 14 year old, so I disengage and ponder this interaction. Dick move? Yah.... Do I care? Nah... Server etiquette? Not this time. ; )-
