  1. The engine is so deeply imbedded into everything of the game, that they would almost have to shut the game down to change engines. That is why I doubt it will ever happen.
  2. I was wondering about that. I was beginning to think they didn't do that any more.
  3. You know what companions use to remind me of? You ever play The Last of Us? Companions always reminded me of anyone who is suppose to be helping you fight and kill in The Last of Us. They had unlimited ammo. When you first meet them, they can fight off a group of infected alone to save you. But when they are teamed up with you, they cant handle one by themselves without having to call for you to help them. Im glad companions are a little over powered. Some are suppose to be great. But up untill now, they sucked and were not the great warriors they were suppose to be. They should be able to handle themselves alot better then they did in the past.
  4. I doubt I will get much support for my veiw of this. But here it goes. The only one that is forcing people to PVP is those people. It is your choice to do the quest, or not do the quest. They put these types of quests in the game for people that want to put forth the effort to earn the rewards. Somone does not want to do what is required, that is their choice. Live with that choice and dont have the prize at the end. But if you want the reward, the prize at the end. Quit whining, suck it up, and do what is required as everyone that hates PVE does.
  5. If it was not for the story while leveling up. I would not be even playing the free to play game. Never mind being subbed.
  6. I had that happen years ago (before free to play), and another MMO where you would go backwards in the queue. They said at the time, in both games, that it was a glitch in the queue system.
  7. If you had continued to play, you would have knowen the charge didnt go through. While you didnt choose to end your subscription, you did choose to not play, not log on at all, for that time. So it is in fact no ones fault but your own,
  8. Thats the way all MMORPGs are. Expansions, or moving to a new game, you are doing the same thing over again each time.
  9. I'll scoot over and you can have room in the boat. I was checking a website to decide on what professions to choose. Decided, came back on to play....and the server was down.
  10. Not sure what mine will be. Alot higher then what I thought it would be considering I was playing on release day.
  11. I would think the main reason for removing them is to make room for newer items. For every piece of armor in the game, they have to have a copy of it for every race that can use it, as well as both male and female. That takes up a lot of room.
  12. I read in a article awhile back that since going free to play, they have gained over 2 million. Cant say its true, or that that 2 million is still around however.
  13. If you have your helmet / head equipped item showing. It will cancel out the hood being over your character's head. I found for my sith assassin at least, that if you hide the head slot item, It will place the hood over your head.
  14. Wookie for the rebel alliance Rodain, or whatever its called ( think Greedo) for the imperials
  15. Exactly one of my points. Once people move on to gear lvl 5 content. Gear lvl 1-4 content will still be abandoned by those people. Anyone not staying with the current gear lvl content, will be to far behind with no one to run the older content with.. Everquest Online Adventures had that problem when they no longer raised the lvl cap. Once a guild finished a lvl of content, they moved on, and didn't run the old stuff anymore. Anyone not raiding from the beginning fell behind due to needed gear from the older content to do the next lvl. Only reason people didn't fall behind sooner was because all the raid drops could be sold in the AH. So people could buy the gear.
  16. It was Everquest Online Adventures, and it too lasted almost 10 years. Would of lasted longer if they would have given more then just the raiders something to do besides repeat the same leveling content over again for the 8th time.
  17. They never sell well in console markets simply because console owners have never had a reason to get them. Myself, I could use the mouse and keyboard I use on my PC. So I wouldn't need to buy one for PS4.
  18. I played only one game that refused to raise the level cap after going from 50 to 60. That game had the plug pulled years ago. They had everyone sitting at level 60 for years and kept adding new content for level 60s to do, and new gear to get. Problem was, people that didn't raid all the time was left with leveling another alt. Most of the players left within a few months after it was confirmed that there would never be a new level cap. The hardcores that were able to keep up with the latest gear stuck around. But even a lot of them left within the year. No new level cap is fine for people that raid, raid, raid, and raid some more. As well as PVPers. But those that like to do more, well, theres only so many times you can level a new character to the same level. Want to kill a game? Don't raise the level cap.
  19. Don't know if its just you dealing with it. But there is a very good chance that it is on your end. Which is why Bioware/EA cant fix it. because it isn't coming from them. I had horrid lag when I tried to play again after it went free to play. I was playing release day and I never had the issues before. It was so bad that my game would freeze anytime another players character came on my screen. Even just zipping by on their speeder. I googled it and found people were able to fix it. I did what they said, and I havnt lagged since.
  20. 1) The game is up and running. 2) If I am still having fun (and I am)
  21. People wonder why they dont hand stuff out on MMos more often? Because no matter what they do, WHEN THEY DIDNT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, people always find something about it to whine, moan, and complain.
  22. To be a success with any product in any market. You need to look at what your competitors are doing and do what they are doing but do it better. You cant say "they have been working on it for 5 years. So they know how to do things right!" Thats just plain stupid. Your company sees what competitor A is doing, and you know very well you have to at least match them or you are just shooting yourself in the foot. Its that way with any company and any product including video games. Would a car company today make their first car and tell everyone its not fair to compare their first car to the cars of other companys? Instead the people looking for a new car need to compare this companys car to the cars that other companys made 10 years ago? Video game companys shouldnt be doing this either. Not when now more then ever, video game companys are fighting for your spending money. By the way. My game is working just fine.
  23. Thats cool. Wasnt going to cancel, so i wasnt expecting anything.
  24. They are not the only ones who trap bots and cheaters in one big net before squashing them with the ban hammer. My new issue of my online game magazine talks about Runescape banning over 1 million accounts after marking them all as botters.
