  1. Thanks for posting great video and worth the watch.
  2. So anyone that follows these threads closely knows that I am new to PVP, being PVE on my main for along while and sold off the free recruit gear long ago. SO I jumped into PVP will full BH Augmented Gear, I am a sawbones healer, so I am use to being mobile moving around using my cool downs and stuns, so maybe that is an advantage for me. But I do not just roll over and Die in 50pvp. I did jump in ever ytime for the first 10matches or so and just say hey noob in pvp gearing up. Only one person really got on me for the 0 EXP and you know what that match I lead the team in heals and got a couple MVP nods. The extra hp and the stats let me hold my own, I followed L-Randal's suggestion and have started with the left side. With all that done I was hitting hi 200k low 300k an occasional 400 and topped out a 541k in my best match in heals. Now I have taken and done 2 pieces of Gear, and my EXP is 951, my heals are consistently over 300k but I am not seeing the top end as much. I have only broken 400 once since then. I am prettys ure this is becasue it is making me sacrifice Cunning as I go. My cunning has dropped from 1800 down to 1711. Clearly there is a balance somewhere I feel like I may need to back down a little or just go for broke and go all the way. I have to say some of the stats between EWH and WH make no sense. I can swap my boots and the mods swap alc for surge almost point for point with no endurance or exp gain. Just some minor gains in other areas.
  3. it's a convenience factor, I don't want to have to mail stuff to an alt, frankly because I only have a few characters 1 50 and the other 2 are sub 20 i would rather toss stuff into my legacy cargo bay and when my alt gets to a high enough level i can just grab it and go, no loggin in and mailing things to another of my own characters. Ohhh look here is this new shiny with Aim, oh wait I dont use Aim, I don;t have an alt that does yet.... vendor trash.... oh wait legacy bank i can save this... Chevin Event... heres a cool crossbow, oh wait I dont have a sniper, save to mail later...
  4. /support for legacy bank/cargo bay Bound is bound though. No need to change.
  5. It could depend on the class, I have a Sawbones Scoundrel, but I would not mind playing the gunslinger, however I really have no desire to level another character through the same SL to occasional play with a gun in each hand instead of a medpack.
  6. The promised a reason to go back to all the other locations. I am guessing that this is part of that where we will be doing all the heroics on the lower planets. Or new 50 missions added to each.
  7. it pulled for me 2 of 4 warzones last night.
  8. I am almost fully augmented Black Hole in Columni Shells, I have like 1 piece left to Augment, earpiece, everything else including relics is already done. I will just take the suggestions and start on the leftside and start grinding out those pieces so that I can get my experience up. Is there anything on the GTN that I should think about purchasing? Is my Valor rank and issue there. Thanks everyone for the constructive feedback, this place can make you feel like one Three Billy Goats Gruff around here some days/ Mender Implants and the Trapper earpiece sounds about right? Random googling came up with those
  9. I don;t plan to stay at zero Expertise I will gear up for it, I was only stating that because of my 21k hp I didn't get alot of flak. If I had shown up in 15k much like I was when I dinged 50 then sure I would deserve it. It does help that I have been playing with so many fresh 50's in flashpoints i've gotten pretty good at dodge/screen/disappear run to corner heal up. I have some learning and gear to earn and had alot of fun. Mostly just wanted to share a positive experience on this forum and thank the people who helped and responded to my earlier questions
  10. Again thanks for the feedback, I was able to jump into my first 3 warzones last night and it was hella fun. The first match was huttball and I will say that is confusing as all get out. Died like 6 times but I managed to lead my team in heals and even got one MVP vote! Like 9 medals nothing special to anyone that does this alot I'm sure but I was pretty happy about it. 0-1 The 2nd Match was on Voidstar, I think i joined this one in progress as a round ended like 10 seconds into joining. This was not to bad little less frantic I guess easier to see what was going on. was 2nd on the team in heals but did about 100k more than the previous game. Only died 3 times, got through my defensive cooldowns better. 0-2 Last warzones was Alderaan and that was pretty fun, out of the 3 I think this one was my favorite. I did at first struggle on where to go after holding the initial turret for a while, (gettting my 3rd kill shot) until some one yelled for me to go left and then I ran and helped with the other turret. I did end up getting smashed to death, so I circled back around and came back only there was just a single IMP still there so I stealthed in stunned, went through my rotation had him cc'd a bit was able to take him down to about 55% before he came out of it, and just in time for another team mate to show up and take him out. 1-2 A losing night but well worth it, was alot of fun, everyone was pretty cool only one person said anything about my 0 expertise but I think my 21k Hp held most comments at bay since, it was more than maybe 3 or 4 people between all 3 matches. Ended up with 275 commendations, so I can see why people commment on how easy it is to gear in PVP. I also learned that I need to work on my attack rotations. Having been a healer with this character for a year my rotations for healing are down but not for offensive abilities since in PVE I am usually just using something to do while energy regens. I think this is something that I will be doing far more often as opposed to grinding flashpoints and dalies. One gear question I have, I was reading through the relics and I have to say none of them seem that much more exciting (with the exception of the expertise) then the dread guard ones I have now. Is that the major reason? Should I have 2 sets to just swapp out?
  11. That sounds pretty reasonable again thanks, I have not problem starting to grind out some gear but wanted to make sure I was 1) not going to be ridiculed for showing up in my PVE gear until I can start getting some pieces to use. 2) Just totally get smashed becasue of the lack of some stats. I expect losses and deaths (first mmo no pvp experience.) But I am good with my character and rotations, and have been reading up on how to tweak them for PVP. I appreciate the feedback and the recommendations on what to gear first.
  12. Thank you, I was not sure if I would be at to much of a disadvantage never PVP'ing before let alone sub 50.
  13. Does anyone have any feedback on my question here? Can give some friendly advice?
  14. I have a slightly off topic question, but rather than necro some old thread about gear might as well ask in this one. I have never PVP'd, I Have one 50 in almost full BH augmented gear (columni shell) (one armoring left) It puts me about 21k hp (sawbones scoundrel) Would I be stupid to try and queue for games having Zero Valor and Expertise? Is this a valid way to grind out some gear and eventually get a set for PVP or should I just roll a new character with that in mind? ( I am pretty sure my free recruit gear is long gone at this point) I have a lvl 12 sniper, I just never use it since HK and really enjoy my healer. Thanks for any constructive feedback.
  15. The targetable is nice, especially if you are healing for a bunch of Melee DPS makes it crazy easy. To give a little heal to the DPS, who may just be taking minor damage while still focusing on the tank. Sometimes I will run up to the group hit so I get some ticks too and then run back to 30m. It is a very useful tool in the bag.
  16. I find this one interesting, I think it could be pretty cool to have a reason to go to each of the other planets rather than skipping from Fleet - Black Hole - Section X - Fleet - Black Hole - Section X -Fleet - Black Hole - Section X - Fleet - Black Hole - Section X - ....
  17. this is an interesting conversation because really there are 2 sides that are not wrong. As a healer i go through the flow and ride with it. At the same time I also only get on one or 2 times a week normally. So I will queue random for the comms and then queue just Taral V and Ilum because they are 10-15min runs I can use to get my weekly done. I have done many of these flashpoints a few dozen times each, and I will say there are time when I wonder what it would be like to clear an entire flashpoint, and I mean every trash mob and boss for fun... and then I think about how long that will take....
  18. I play a main sawbones and it was very difficult early. A lot of abilities you want you don't get until later and management was always rough if not careful. I burned through a lot of medpacks because I found (and sometime still do) that some times it was easier to hit a medpack on myself in between heals to allow my energy to go up instead of hitting myself with something and dragging my energy back down. Make good use of your cooldowns, heals drag agroo across all groups as oppsed to against one or specific targets your attacking. In early levels this can be a pain as tanks don't have a full range of abilities for it., and I wish someone would have explained this to me sooner on. (first mmo) I had all these abilities that I didn't really understand how to rotate or use. Another helpful hint i got was to use diagnostic scan and slow release med packs before and fight to generate some additional stack of upper hand. When you get further along and you finally get Kloto Cloud (I really like others may not) you may find that you need to make sure to stay mobile and in between different groups. Melee in front range in back and hit yourself with the ability so that it grabs every one in your group.
  19. I am a pretty causal player and I am sitting on about 3 million dollars on my character. I still have 4 more pieces of gear to augment so that number is going to drop significantly but I have not had any problems staying over a million the past 6 months since I dinged 50. (Which nearly wiped me out from the cost of all the new abilities)
  20. I enjoy Section X because of the challenge, I can do black hole in my sleep/ At least this one I actually have to work through which is the point right?
  21. As a healer I have never run into that, but if they kicked me because I died they would be the first people on my Ignore list. which is still empty by the way. IF I died it was probably because I was using the last bit of energy to keep up a tank, who was dropping. I have noticed I have had to spend more time healing myself and DPS numbers seem to be lower, some of the fights have been taking significantly longer lately and sometimes there is only so long you can keep up. I have been burning through med packs lately this last month then ever before. Example: HM False Emperor, when you are fighting the Mando Boss with the Ship, I have had that fight drag onto 5-8 minutes lately, which is way to long. I ran the same HM via GF and got 3 people from Synergy Guild, and the run was fantastically smooth. That same boss done in under 3 minutes. (Props to Synergy on the JC for the good run) Bad groups not really, more blown CC's in BH and FP but not so bad that I want to quit. My sampling is smaller as I am on a limited amount of time but I was once that person too. This is my first MMO, things like CC's AOE and a million other terms where all new to me and they are not explained anywhere or anytime to me. Took a lot of google to understand.
  22. I have been playing since launch and I have one 50. I spend almost all the time on that one character working on gearing it up. I normally only have a couple hours a week , sometimes more it has taken me a while to gear up. I do not normally get through all the weekly's (outside BH Normally and Section X this week.) I have on Imperial Sniper I leveled to get HK and one Trooper stalled at LVL 10 that I only use when a couple of friends and I run the Story line together. (we're all running troopers) I will say running just one 50 has helped me to get better at my class, learning when and how to pop cool downs, energy management Vs timely burst healing. So it has definitely benefited me as a player. 1 REP Sawbones 50 1 IMP Sniper 12 1 REP Trooper 10
  23. I think I have said this in like 10 other threads on the same tiring subject, F2P is not for former subs who are level 50 and want to enjoy endgame. F2P is for People who want to enjoy the the Story line ala KotoR 3. THe funny part about former subs crying is that they get free coins, use the coins to unlock the quickbars. They are free coins your not paying for them. If you really want to do endgame then sub, if you want to do PVP the spend 8.00 a month on the game. Darth Hater has a really good article on what it wold cost someone to jsut be an end game PVP'er and it's 8.00 a month with out taking any free coins into consideration.
  24. We have seen people "upset about quickbar and equipment, I think that people need to realize the F2P portion of this game is targeted at the KotoR 3 Crowd who are going to play for free, spend a little money and move onto a new character when the finish the class story. F2P is not catered to endgame or ops. I think they hope people will sub if that is part of the game they really want to do.
