  1. Hi Is this chest piece still available as Medium (or Adaptive armor)? It's the one that the Basic Gear vendor is wearing. Can this be obtained anywhere in the game for Marauders? Thanks
  2. 1. I think people see my Sniper as a squishy aggro magnet that tends to "roll for cover" near the next group of enemies 2. In a party, I love my Sniper. Lots of fun, cool rotations and variety of abilities, very well balanced, very high DPS too though. When I solo with my Sniper, I hate it. Same feeling when I go 1 on 1 in PvP, although that is not as frequent cause I can adjust this through playstyle. Questing solo is a problem in comparison to other classes due to low(er) survivalability.
  3. 1. I think the majority of players don't understand that Shadow tanks (my spec) can be main tanks as well as Vanguards and Guardians. This idea goes away when they play with me but I constantly see this in others that I haven't partied with yet. Thankfully, not everyone thinks like that. 2. My Shadow tank is my main character. Unfortunately, of all the balancing changes you have made, this one's was the only ones that made my class less fun to play. I fully appreciate and agree that you need to balance classes and I don't need to do "10k damage with 1 hit" to enjoy a class. But since the 2 major nerf bats, I don't enjoy it as much anymore. I don't feel particularly weaker and I can happily adjust my playstyle. Please understand that when you balance a class it is important that you preserve the fun factor. You changed shadow tanks to a very boring class in comparison to what it was.
  4. 1. I don't know how others see my Mercenary. I only play solo with this character. 2. This has been the only character with whom I managed to solo ALL heroic missions going from 1 to 45, including some Flashpoints. I did Heroic 4 missions 2-3 levels above the mission and flashpoints 3-4 levels above the flashpoint level. Normal missions and heroic 2 were a breeze. Tough, self healing, high dps, ability to kite and shoot, healer companion "from day one"... the ideal solo character to level up (maybe with tank assassin/shadows).
  5. 1. I think healers like my Vanguard due to her high damage reduction. The damage she takes is consistently low with very little spike damage. I guess the lack of an "OOPS" button to save you against certain death is required or it would be overpowered against Shadows. (I can't compare to Guardians as I don't like that class ) 2. I love my Vanguard because she allows me to do the things I need to do as a tank comfortably. However, she is by far the most boring character to play. The way the abilities work and the low variety in abilities used during a fight, combined with low DPS and low speed of attack makes it extremely boring. Maybe the fact that she rarely gets into a real spot of trouble "helps" in creating this feeling of boredom.
  6. This text was a copy/paste from the Sentinel thread so I am removing it. I play both classes with same spec so there is no need to post twice. Sorry
  7. 1. I think others see my Sentinel as a really high DPS party member that can also support/buff the group a bit but will always be a second choice after a ranged DPS character due to mission design that favours ranged DPS - same in PvP. 2. My sentinel - even though it's not my main character - is by far the most fun to play class for me. The speed it moves from enemy to enemy (or I should say from dead enemy to dead enemy) is extreme fun. I could use one more single target stun ability but overall I am happy.
  8. What the titles says. Happy to see this as an option in Preferences, if there are people who want to keep it as it is. But generally, it is very frustrating when you press on an ability and because your target died 0.1 seconds before you clicked the button, auto-target targetted the controlled enemy and you have just woken him up. You've already implemented smart abilities like Slow Time - which in another thread I suggested to extend to more abilities like Force Breach and to companion abilities. This suggestion falls in line with the same principle: making the game more user friendly, hence more fun.
  9. Even without the double buff, strength is always better than power mathematically. That little extra crit, plus the dmg you get from Strrength will always be better than the damage Power gives - this is for the current state of the game and only as theoretical maths. The double buff and the fact that crit 'weapon damage' attacks can't be shielded in PvP make strength even better.
  10. I just wanted to say here that I hate how complicated it becomes to figure out on your own what stats to use. Sure, you can say "add your main stat, you can't lose". And sure, I can also do the math needed for most theoretical calculations. But I shouldn't have to dammit! Why would they create such a complicated way to build a character that requires a calculator and a few hours typing in numbers in Excel... Before I did all this, I spent so many expensive ingredients to craft Power augments, then I did the calculations and got so disappointed... Such a punishing game. Anyway, back to the topic, Str > Power always. Even if you have "enough crit" you will always get even more Crit with Strength which, in conjuction to the damage boost that Strength also get, will mathematically increase your damage by more than if you had the equivalent Power increase. EDIT: I could be completely wrong about this but if I remember correctly, crit hits cannot be shielded. If I am right about this, Str becomes even better than Power. If I am wrong, please ignore this
  11. Similar to another thread I posted about Force Breach becoming "smart" to help tanks the same way Slow Time became "smart", can you also do the same for all companion AoE damage abilities? I understand that this is not something you would do for player AoE damage abilities, but players can judge and not use these abilities on Controlled enemies or just place them where they wouldn't "wake up" the controlled enemies. Companions are not that smart though, so instead of us having to switch those abilities off completely or risking them waking up our controlled enemies, I think they should all be made "smart".
  12. My character sheet is 99% of the times on showing stats. This means opening the sheet, clicking on the appearance button, ticking/unticking the head slot, and pressing Esc. Everytime I want to change appearance. Definitely not what I am looking for. They should just move that checkbox outside (and smaller).
  13. I love the change in Slow Time so that it doesn't "wake up" controlled enemies. But I was disappointed to see that this was not added to Force Breach, especially since Force Breach is now a high threat attack and was changed to help with aggro management. Looks like an oversight to me, so it would be great to see this in a coming patch.
  14. Simple as that. I hate having to go in Preferences every time I want to change this. Just a tiny button/checkbox on the main UI that I can tick/untick whenever I want. This should probably be easy enough to do for next update, right?
  15. I posted a suggestion in the suggestion forum about this that I think would easily and quickly fix both these issues. Whenever you update a recipe to purple, the purple recipe would create the item WITH mods, like many purple items that exist in the game. That way ALL recipes can eventually be upgraded and worn by any character and upgraded with mods so that if you like the look of a level 19 armor set, you can use it throughout all content. This basically: 1. gives purpose to ALL recipes 2. adds more armor looks in the game without having to design them from scratch 3. make synthweaving/armorweaving more useful and FUN (remember this little word??) 4. boosts economy 5. MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY
  16. The new PvP relics are better for PvE content than PvE relics. I would agree that in some cases and for some characters (only) the PvE relics may offer temporarily a better option. However, it is both mathematically and empirically better to have a permanent +113 power/defense stat than a clicky for +380 power/defense. I personally never PvP but I always try to get the best gear for my characters. I don't want to PvP to maximize my PvE characters' gear. How do you feel about this predicament you have put me in?
  17. Was it that you "let" people rush you? Was it that you did not count the number of active subscribers? Was it that you did not expect people to return to the game? What was it that caused a waiting queue?! I started in December on The Red Eclipse. The server, like so many others was on FULL during peak times. I started again on another server. Now I had to transfer BACK to the Red Eclipse because my server was empty, putting my trust in you Bioware, only to see the server going to FULL during peak times in less than a week. How exactly are you monitoring server population? By offering transfers to thousands of accounts and then seeing how many will actually transfer? How very very disappointing.
  18. I don't remember playing a single MMO where I hadn't found while leveling up a character - or even after capping them and getting lots of shiny loot - that I didn't really like how I made him/her look like. Sometimes it's the hair or the colour of the hair or the skin or the height or the eyes or anything really. Obviously, to some this is not important at all while some are probably like me and it is important for your character to look the way you want them to. It would be great if at some point we were allowed to change the options we made. However, such a feature would be best if it had all or almost all options available. Just allowing hair change or different hair/eye colours is not great. I'd like a feature that basically allows a complete redesign of the character (maybe with the exceptions of sex and race - although in one case e.g. a human becoming a cyborg, race changing would be realistic). Another MMO I played decided to give you this options by "reincarnating" your character. That meant you kept all loot and permanent stat increases you had unlocked but you had to level up again from level 1. This also gave you some bonuses but you needed more XP to cap this time. For Star Wars, I think it would work better if this was a Legacy unlock. It could be split into tiers or areas so that you can unlock only the changes you want to make on that specific character. I'm pretty sure everyone would agree that deleting a character and restarting from 0 is not fun for anyone if all you wanted is to change some details. Thanks for reading
  19. I think this would give all recipes a purpose, so if you really like the looks of an armor or weapon that can be crafted by Armormech/Synthweaving/Armstech, you can upgrade it to purple and craft the item. This will create the item as a slotted purple item, which you can then upgrade with higher level mods. This will: - make ALL level recipes useful - give us an incentive to make purple recipes for low/mid levels (currently it's not worth going past prototype(blue)) - give us many more options for looks, without having to create new designs for these items I got the idea when I managed to collect the Elite Vanguard armor set for my Trooper but I couldn't find the leggings with slots no matter how much I tried. Then I saw that I had the recipe for the blue version. Unfrotunately, I can't use it when I start using mods. If I could upgrade it to purple and get it with slots, I would invest the time, credit and ingredients to craft it. This also made me give a closer look to all low/mid level recipes and saw that some of them look amazing. It is a shame that you can't utilize them.
  20. OK, let me explain the fault in your logic Bioware and why I think you are making the same mistake as almost EVERY other MMO company out there. 1) When you find imbalance between some classes, you should ALWAYS either boost the weak one or nerf the strong one: not both! Observe your results and then decide if the other class also needs adjustment. 2) When you nerf a tank don't also make boss fights easier. You are basically saying that "I'm surviving more easily than I should, therefore I need to be adjusted" while "The content is too difficult, I'll make it easier for you." What was the point of nerfing me then? 3) Don't balance PvP for PvE and vice versa. Me needing to tank an operations boss on Hard and me killing another type of tank in PvP should have nothing to do with each other when you decide class balance. 4) Don't increase my ability to keep aggro from more enemies at the same time while you are making me easier to die. Believe it or not, Shadows - as all tanks - can die much more easily when they fight 6 lvl50 strong enemies at the same time than when they are fighting an operations boss. In your game, I die easier fighting lots of "trash" than when I'm fighting an end boss. 5) Off-tanks are not cool choices. Why? Because the situations where you need such a secondary tank are very rare. You are basically playing a character that is good in one rare situtation - a situation where a normal tank would be better anyway - while your character is not good enough for boss tanking and not good enough for dps. Therefore, why play that role? (This is in case Shadow/Assassin tank get nerfed more in the future) 6) Finally, why didn't you also increase actual damage for Shadows/Assassins?? Just to be fair I'm not rage quitting btw Just wanted to present things the way I see them.
  21. Unfortunately, Tio/Col/Rak set bonuses will not work on other gear. The good news is that the set bonuses need 2 or 4 items, so I can do some kind of combination that leaves me with a better chest piece and/or better color. The bad news is that these items are some of those that don't work well with Unify.
  22. First of all, I'm too vain. Choosing looks and colors for my items is part of what I love in RPGs. Second, the introduction of Unify Colors is AMAZING, especially while you level up where it is very likely to wear a yellow robe with pink gloves red boots and green trousers, just for the stats OK, now that we got this out of the way, these are the issues I have with how it currently works: Very limited with the chest piece being the only way to Unify I know you answered this in one of the Q&As, but I didn't like the answer. If I like the design of my chest piece but hate its color, why are you forcing me to keep the nasty color AND copy it to everything else? It's basically a dilemma of a) different colors that don't match or b) unified crappy colors. Can we please select which piece is the main to Unify to? Certain items don't change color -- Primary/Secondary color selection There are many items in the game that decide to Unify based on primary or secondary colors. E.g.: - The Tionese/Columi/Rakata Consular Lower Robe will always stay white on its top part. So you could unify everything to black but you will have a large piece of white cloth around your lower robe, making look like a chess board. - The Tionese/Columi/Rakata Jedi Knight Boots always Unify on the main piece's secondary color. My robe is 90% black and only has small patches of brown and grey, but my boots will Unify to JUST brown and grey. Can we please have options to select primary and secondary colors for each item? I fully appreciate that some things are more important than others but I've always been in favor of doing something as good as possible instead of doing something adequate. I definitely like that we have the option to Unify as it is but when it doesn't work for 5 of my 8 characters and I mostly use it when I level up, it becomes less useful. Becoming stronger at cap and not be able to look as cool as you want is a bit disappointing. Thanks for reading
  23. I apologise if this has been asnwered before. I did a search for legacy armor and didn't find anything relevant. Will Legacy Armor also scale to your class's armor the same way as Social gear will in 1.3? The items have the main class as pre-requisite, so it won't break the game (i.e. Consulars wearing Trooper armor). I liked a set for my Juggernaut from the Sith Warrior Legacy Vendor but it's medium armor. Will the gear scale to heavy for my Juggernaut? If not, have they mentioned any plans to do this or think about this? This is for the empty orange items, for which I think this would work without having to change any stats.
  24. My friends and I play 3-4 Republic characters and 3-4 Imperial characters each on the same server. Would you consider the idea of allowing "marrying" two guilds of opposite factions on the same server for communication purposes only, like an /interguild chat or a "blue guild chat" and a "red guild chat" on both sides? We are usually split between the two guilds and it is difficult to communicate properly.
