  1. Imperial side, Nar Shaddaa. You're told the Stardogs have put out a contract on your life and your encouraged to kill them before they kill you... Sith Inquisitor : ''I like assassinating assassins. They always look SO surprised.''
  2. Hey now, I never claimed EA was altruistic! *laugh* But otherwise, it's a bet. Carrick Station cantina, August 1. I,ll be the guy wearing whatever new threads they've released since f2p hits. :-)
  3. Starts handing out tinfoil hats (only 5 cartel coins) at the door to this thread. Yes, cosmetic options will be available in the store, but you can't seriously think no cosmetic options will find thier way into the regular game. If you think that way I urge you to try LOTRO to see what a f2p game with a store is really like. No company (not even EA!) is going to offend 10s of 1000s of thier player base this way. It's NOT good business, and believe what you want, EA does care obout making money.
  4. It's not, ''flat out said that Zash never intended, blah blah blah''. That's your interpretation of events. An equally valid interpretation is that she either underestimated Khem's intellect, or relied on his hatred of servitude to compel him to stand idle.
  5. No, it's really not that simple. Keleth-Ur is still considered a sith lord. (He's the heretic with the hologram in the sith temple on DK.) The sith don't call him the 'jedi Keleth-Ur', they call him the heretic sith lord. They are even aware of the general nature of his heresies, but still recognize him as sith. As far as the religion analogy, it doesn't hold up. Baptists will tell you they are christians. So will lutherans. As will episcopalians. And so will those small churches full of snake-handlers. Most of these churches still recognize the others as 'christian' (misguided perhaps, but still christian). That's why there are no calls for crusades between these denominations. *wink* Similarly, Revanites in game refer to Revan as 'darth Revan'. I bet if you asked a random sampling of revanites, several would say, ''oh yeah, we're still sith... just a different kind of sith''. These revanite heretics still access sith powers. At least one (the girl that sends you after revan's mask), is clearly dark-side. So you can SAY it's ''really that simple'' but clearly, it's not. In my opinion (no more or less 'right' than anyone else's) sith are sith as long as they beleive they are sith and can demonstrate a mastery of sith force techniques.
  6. I don't know if this makes the decision easier or harder, but Khem got possessed by Zash by trying to save the inquisitor. You think Zash would ever step in front of a blaster bolt for you? My inq is LS too, but also pragmatic. Khem may be 'evil', but as an agent for a more moderate empire, I can direct his violence upon those that refuse to see reason. I can't say the same for Zash, who has demonstrated that her needs rank above the greater good in her opinion.
  7. I am right there with you. I do love me some Chiss. Mmmmmm.
  8. Realistically, I think it's unlikely you'll find a solution. Since it's already clear that they will be moving characters from the low pop servers (like it or not), it might be best to consider rolling on whatever your destination server is just as an alt. You can play with your friend, and sort of show him the ropes, and since mandatory server moves were mentioned as being 'late this summer', your guild will be there in a month or so anyway. Disappointing, I know, but what can you do? I left a character or two behind since a few well-favoured names weren't available. So I feel your pain of server conflict. I just don't see a lot of middle ground here from the information given to us. And realistically, I can sort of see why BW would want to retire ghost-town servers. I can't say I blame them, but it will still be sad for me when it happens.
  9. I have to say you lost me at it being ''WoW with a story thrown in''. Sure there are cetain game genre (mmo) similarities, but really I find them fairly dissimilar. Not saying you're not entitled to your opinion, just expressing a dissenting one.
  10. The Esseles video was pure win. I found myself really cheering you on against the sith. I can see where in the beginning a rediculous amount of presence can make Aric nigh indestructible, but I have to wonder if you'll be able to pull it off against 'act' bosses. Good post!
  11. I guess in your country everyone's so busy learning the 'theory of likelihood' that they're too busy to learn good manners. There's no need to be rude because another community member thinks an effort (whatever it may be), is praiseworthy. Why bash, when you could as easily explain?
  12. IA/Sniper. As others have said the storyline is truly good. Further, I really like the challenge of setting up the battle before it starts, and using the mixture of class abilities to turn things around when they start to go pear-shaped.
  13. Ah. I understand perfectly now. I can't really answer this question because I'm a heal specced sorc, and DoT are bad for me in case I get an add or something goes wrong because I use CC to regain control in those cases. I'd be interested in the answer to this myself if someone else who has tested this can contribute.
  14. To borrow a phrase from my SI... ''I hope you plan to elaborate?''
  15. Like - Talos Drellik (SI) - I needed him to identify tracks, and he completely won me over with, ''Ortolan. I'd know them if they were six days old and covered in jam.'' He just kept getting better from there. I so very much wish he were a romance option. Dislike - SCORPIO (IA) - Seriously, I'd have yanked her memory core the FIRST time I kicked her shiny metal ***, and sealed it in a titanium box. Once I was sure there were no secrets on it I needed, I'd have disolved it in acid and dumped the acid canister in my star drive core. Metal cow needs to learn who's in charge on MY boat.
  16. And there was a time when healers weren't mages. Clerics were plate clad healers that had a few token offensive spells because otherwise it took weeks to melee down 'normal' mobs. There are times I miss being a cleric of Innoruuk. *sigh*
  17. That was the best spoiler ever. +1 Would read again.
  18. In her second or third conversation with you, she says something very complimentary about how much she likes you. At this point, while she's still in grief over the loss of her father, you get your one chance to nip things in the bud. The crappy part about it, is your consular is not the least bit gentle about it. I really don't agree with the way the Nadia romance is written, but technically they do give you a very hurtful and non-obvious out.
  19. It's not a matter of that. It's a competition yes, but take a football game as an example. The team that LOSES the superbowl still gets payed because they went out and did their best. The don't tell that team, ''You actually only deserve minimum wage because you didn't win. Newbs.''. It's a game. It's supposed to be FUN, and I pay the same monthly fee that everyone else does. So I for darned sure should not feel like I'm being discriminated against because gear is usually greater than skill in this GAME.
  20. My three favourite pieces of great looking gear are: Cademimu Sharpshooters Jacket, because all agents look especially agent-y in a long black coat (picked up from Cademimu FP, of course). Imperial Officer's Sniper Rifle, because it looks like what I think a sniper rifle should look like (level 24pvp rifle from the fleet vendor). Fervent Battle Headgear, because it's mask-y without messing up my hair (Nar Shaddaa specialty vendor, just swap the mods). All three are orange moddable and I think they make me look good getting my 'agent' on.
  21. Aristoca Saganu. Salty goodness. I'm afraid you'll have to share.
  22. Just saying, but I used Vector from the moment I got him (I'd had my fill of Kaliyo by then), all the way until Belsavis. As a sniper, Vector had no problem grabbing agro by the scruff and holding onto it like a terrier. Meanwhile, I soaked the opposition in well placed damage. Even when I got Lokin on Taris, Vector was already so well equipped and we had our roles down so well, that it was easier to continue on with him than to change. I finally converted to Lokin on Belsavis, only because I'd maxed out Vector's affection at that point, and didn't want to waste otherwise delicious affection. So out Lokin came. It was rough going, and there are still a notable number of very close figts where I think ''grrrr, if only Vector were here''. But we're working it out. As far as the OP though, I completely agree that it was a rediculously long dry spell between Kaliyo and Vector.
