Actually for a lot of people the only thing they understand is being hurt as much as they have hurt others (all legal systems recognise this aspect of human nature, it's why we have prisons) - it's the process of learning. Reward or punish. Some people are more mature to learn from their own mistakes and accept their failings and not actually need to be punished, but the majority of humanity are not quite so sophisticated and apparently need to be treated like animals, sadly. It would be nice too if when you talked to NPCs it wasn't a weird thing where you somehow know who everyone is by just looking at them and you know who they are (without an actual meeting where someone introduces you to someone, or shows you what someone looks like to hunt them down), and they know who you are without you saying who you are - especially with Imperial Agent I'd love to be able to turn name tags and most of the spammy ugly interface off really, but you can't really play without that stuff because the game cuts corners ingame by relying on arcadey boxes full of colours too much rather than actually showing how hurt a character is on their body by being blackened with fire etc it'd be nice to even have Mass Effect minimalistic levels of floating things, green'n'red bars and numbers, etc... rather than just the total spamfest it is at the moment where everyone just seems to zoom their camera (from watching other people on youtube and streaming sites) all the way out cos the fighting is just repeated stuff that don't connect (flailing a lightsaber in thin air in front of people) and also because of all the spam and lack of enemies actually looking hurt when they are (and the sheer overdone amount of powers that 1/4 of the screen seems to get covered by rainbow-coloured icons)

RE my previous post you can also press \ to popup the reporting window then just change it to Name report (Don't forget to say what server though)

Trask Ulgo or The Progenitor are the biggest RP servers - both are Eu, but you can pick in the server selection screen - or Lord Adraas US. Not sure which has the most yet, seems Bioware did a good ( BAD ) job of ripping apart the community with their separate servers and letting the fan websites have their way in causing drama.

I don't own any of them, I'm not even an editor in any of them actually - I know it might seem alien to one way of looking at things for someone to actually want to help make things better and get people to work together without getting any gain out of it. Since I started playing I keep seeing problem after problem, drama after drama created by the people from that website... They very much seem the guild leader type that wants everything under their control so they can decide who is or is not in their clique.

Yeah pretty much any modern game that isn't warcrap seems to have that stuff, City of Villains too - Bioware should be ashamed for so slavishly copying so much crap from that pile of lowest common denominator mediocrity...

Just heard about this ingame on the RP channel, seems interesting, probably won't have enough levels to visit though was busy at xmas, someone said you need to be level 20 to get to the place?

When I played City of Villains killing the hero players often grouped by picking them off one at a time from stealth with my assassin character, every time I played in the only high level PVP zone there I would get the most hateful comments imaginable, real life threats ****, etc, it's really eye opening when you see what some guys really think about women when they don't feel a need to hide the troglodyte behind compliments-with-the-aim-of-getting-something, smarm and lies. If you get involved in anything where there is competition then you'll REALLY see the dark underbelly of it all. (I didn't quit cos of that though, I just got bored when they changed it a lot by slowing it down so it's more about button mashing and numbers than knowing the right time to attack what to do hitting the right person in the right place etc, that was fun - it seems a lot now just concentrate on the number aspect rather than letting people use their brains for that stuff instead which is a shame, I can't really get into PVP in games anymore)

Is there any real serious reason why any of that could not be done here though? It seems silly to encourage people to split up, most people don't have time to follow lots of different forums and this one has an OOC rp section, an events section, an IC roleplaying section, 20+ paid moderators and a fan fiction section, all stuff people in other games would love to have!
