  1. Nice. I'm still riding the weekly spec cost reset.
  2. Haha, you crack me up, dude. You really need to find a hobby as it seems you may have a real addiction to online gaming. You made some videos in WoW. Good job, here's a cookie. There's a whole other world outside your imaginary one. http://www.nationaladdictionhotline.com/
  3. @Gruddy, are you still using this spec? If so, for how long?
  4. Ain't that the truth. If Ataru weren't such a turd I'd be perfectly happy standing around in it all day. By the way, what's the downside of stance dancing? Does rage drop to zero if you do like assassins Saber Charge pissing force? Right, because everyone's sole purpose in life is the exact same as yours. Get over yourself, dude. It's a real build. It's a fun build. That's all that matters to me.
  5. Nope. Tried it. I think it's kinda buggered a little as I was getting a LOT of crits (about 80%) when doing a Massacre before Scream. After dropping Massacre in a respec it's not quite as often.
  6. Which is what got me thinking of dropping Obliterate, but it's also a decent damaging gap closer. Otherwise this: http://knotor.com/skills#AgQDHArbM0JJUnJ6o6qyusLL0qqxusLL
  7. No, Obliterate is very strong. What these group-thinkers fail to grasp is Force Scream for 1 rage every 6 seconds. Also, Vicious Slash with talents, and especially Berserk is more painful than Massacre.
  8. Hybrid builds work fine. You don't work. Start to. Btw, I have almost the same spec, hoss: http://knotor.com/skills#AgQAHA0zQklScnqjqrK6wsvSgomqsbrCywAA
  9. Indeed. Difficulty is 100% subjective. For me, Annihilation was so easy it bored me back to Carnage. Great spec, very powerful, possibly the "best" one. But holy crap is it simple and boring. Carnage is just what it claims to be: a big @5$ mess o' violence. I think people's beef with Rage is the notion that it's a one-trick-pony. That pony being Smash. I don't really like it as I'm not a big fan of AoE. I like to stab faces till they break.
  10. Heh, speaking of bugs... I was soloing some random L50 elite the other day, rather I was starting to. I Charge in, go through a full combo, pop Choke and BOOM, kicked to the char select screen. A string of profanities later and I'm back in game, dead of course. GG, BW?
  11. Damn straight. I was balls deep in Battlefield 3 when I saw a commercial for SWTOR. I signed up 12/19 and forgot all about that other game. For added difficulty my kids sit on my lap while I'm playing asking me what this button does and why that man is trying to kill me now.
  12. Agreed. Make it a 4-hit: 1, 2, 3, 4. That long pause between 2 and 3 makes me think, "I hate dramatic pauses."
  13. I haven't had a chance to try it in PvP yet, but I was all over Corellia this evening and it's a hell of a lot of fun. I was looking at Massacre vs Vicious Slash and my tool tips are showing VS doing almost 500 damage more. Saber strength makes it nearly 600 more and Shii-Cho adds another 50. Not even a double Ataru proc will make Massacre equal VS unless they crit. With Brutality upping the crit chance and Berserk delivering six free twofers, Vicious Slash is a beast. Also, I was seriously considering dropping Saber Strength and Obliterate for Enraged Slash, but I was pissing rage all night while still popping all my big hitters. The other thing I noticed is that I am constantly hitting 30 stacks of Fury. I had Berserk up two times a fight and never had to pop Frenzy.
  14. I didn't get a chance to verify in PvP, but it's definitely not doing much, if anything, for me in PvE at the moment. I see a very noticeable difference gored vs ungored using Vicious Slash, Massacre, and Ravage, but almost nothing with Force Scream. This is just running around questing level 48+ normal, strong, and elite mobs on Corellia. I am checking to make sure the buff is on target so it's not that it's missing. May as well file a ticket. :/
  15. So yeah, did you read the post or just the title? I'm seeing Gore having no effect on Force Scream.
  16. In testing out my theory in THIS THREAD, I noticed that the damage done with Force Scream didn't seem to be affected by Gore. Random variance aside, regular and crit damage on level 48 normal, strong, and elite mobs was about the same with Gore as without. Is anyone else seeing this? UPDATE: This apparently is only an issue in PvE. Perhaps mobs have no or very little armor to penetrate, I dunno, but the difference is hugely noticeable on other players.
  17. Bleh, never mind. Just tried it and it didn't proc. The good news is that Scream was crit'ing probably 75-80% anyways, and the difference in damage was only about 200-300 on average when it did. Add the fact that it only costs 1 rage to Scream every 6 seconds and it's actually a pretty fun build. Being that Ataru doesn't proc in Shii-Cho, this would be a more appropriate build, replacing Massacre with Vicious Slash. http://knotor.com/skills#AgQAHA0zQklScnqjqrK6wsvSgomqsbrCywAA P.S: Mathematically speaking, two Screams at 100% beats one scream + crit bonus. Yes, they happen in 12 seconds instead of 9, but both having the potential to crit means ouchie my tootie!
  18. http://knotor.com/skills#AgQAHwoJM0lSYWpyeoKJkqOqssvSoqqxwssA Yes, I put points in Force Alacrity and Enraged Scream, talents that only benefit Shii-Cho form. Has anyone bothered to check if Massacre will still trigger an Ataru strike while in Shii-Cho form? Sure, common sense dictates you must be in Ataru for it to proc, but the tooltip for Massacre does not state it being a requirement. Just think about it: an auto-crit augmented Force Scream for 1 rage every 6 seconds.
  19. I think the Fury buffs need to be changed. Berserk is amazing for Annihilation, so so for Ataru, garbage for Shii-Cho. Predation is great for running away from a fight, and I guess for running into one, but not much else. Blood Thirst is ok, but really not a level 44 ability, and definitely not deserving of a 5min cooldown.
  20. I don't know if this has been stated or theorized, but it seems to me that, in PvE at least, the success of my spec is directly related to my companion choice. I played Carnage from 10-40 without a single respec and loved it. I used Quinn mostly and never had any trouble. Around 42 or so I decided to try out Annihilation and it took over as my favorite tree all the way to 50. I did find, however, that I needed to switch to Jaesa to do well as DoT healing was only slightly less potent that Quinn (being that half the time he was playing pocket pool anyway). I recently switched back to Carnage because I missed the speed killing and general feeling of being a marauder. I was having kind of a rough time with Jaesa. We'd kill stuff a lot faster now, but not so much faster that it evens out the lack of heals. I'd find myself with about 30% health after a typical on-level group instead of 50% or more with Annihilation. Time-wise it evens out since I'd just have to Channel Hatred a bit longer, but taking elites can be a bit nerve wracking. Now, back to Quinn and everything is as it was. fights take a little longer than Annihilation + Jaesa, but I Channel less. So now I'm wondering, is this really what Bioware had in mind? If so then that's all well and good for PvE, but obviously not PvP. All in all I'm glad to be back on Carnage, but I think it needs to put opponents down just a tad faster for solo balance.
  21. I salute you. You are 100% correct. Some people call us masochists. I call us, "Not P***ies."
  22. I love how everyone on these forums is a professional player in the mythical National MMO League. I have you player card, dude, could you sign it for me so I can put it right next to my autographed Steve Young jersey?
  23. No, I think you're doing it wrong. Otherwise you'd not be rage starved all the time. You need a better argument as people are proving every day that Carnage is a nuclear warhead in PvP. Annihilation is creeping death in PvE. Behaving as expected. P.S: To all the douchebags who like to tell people they're doing it wrong, get over yourselves. Just because you only know how to do a thing one way doesn't mean everyone else is doing it wrong. It just means you have no imagination and lack the ability to think outside the box. Welcome to the real world, kids.
  24. The last fight, or running past someone and hitting them with BA or the guy I was killing before he disappeared or etc... Or are you implying this glaring flaw in the tree only applies to your very first victim? If so, I have to say, non-issue.
