  1. I think the refrain is, ‘I don’t want gear, I don’t want handouts, I just want what I pay fo… oh, wait, doooh’
  2. Then use the UI editor to turn them off. Nothing more futile than to bemoan a problem that has such a simple solution.
  3. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=562422 There ya go
  4. No it didn't. And yes, I'm glad they went with this. Honestly I expected them to offer three, not four.
  5. I’ll say this. I do think the preferred players should have gotten 3 quick bars. Coming back to play at 50, after being used to 4 bars then only having 2 is a hard adjustment to make, though not impossible. I have a Sub account, and also a RaF preexisting account. I play on the RaF account just to get an Idea for how the play style is compared to subscription players. It’s really not all that bad as long as you’re doing story. Want to try more, yes you’re going to have to spend some money/credits to maximize your gaming enjoyment. All in all, if it’s too much of a deal breaker for you to pay $15ish one time and grab some of the base items to play, then this freemium game is not for you.
  6. No, you don’t have to ‘right off the bat buy’ anything to play. You want to play in a way not supported by the f2p model, thus to play the way you like, you need to buy something. This is NOT a freeware game. It’s freemium, meaning you get the basics for free. Want to indulge yourself in beyond basic game play, then spend the $$ or stop playing.
  7. It depends on the situation. If I’m in a city or camp, then yea, I almost always refuse an unannounced invite. If on the other hand I’m at a quest mob or whatever, then I’m more than happy to hit accept from a random invite then drop group as soon as the fight is over. The thing I would wholeheartedly agree on in line with the Ops complaint is unrequested/messaged guild invites. I seriously despise people who think I want to socialize with them without even a hi or wana join blah blah first.
  8. You remind me of the person sitting on top of their car in a flood, waving off the rescue helicopter then ************ at god or the world in general for your problems. You’ve been told a simple solution to the perceived problem, but instead of accepting it, you’d rather complain and continue to highlight the obviously egregious damage done to you. Please, leave your invites the way they are, I kinda like the fact that you’ll get butthurt every time this happens
  9. You have the Option to accept without it interfering with your combat, is that so hard to understand, or are you just ************ to *****? If you want to accept the invite click yes, if you want to finish the fight, then wait, I thought it was fairly obvious from my other post that it was a choice by you, that won’t block your keys or view. If you just want to be mad about something don’t change it and get pissed each time it happens, or do something about it, either turn off all invites or change them to a social message, doesn’t matter to me either way. But I get tired of hearing this same complaint when it’s so damn easy to fix.
  10. Wrong, it doesn’t require interaction, it is just a social message you can answer later. Try it, you'll be fine then
  11. Seriously, people don’t know that you can go into Preferences, click on User Interface, scroll to Social Center, and click Show Invites as Social Messages? That way group invites or trades or any other invite won’t block you view, interrupt your keys or any other so called problems invites seem to entail.
  12. ‘Wall of txt crits you for 43,298 damage’
  13. Ya know, instead of whining about someone inviting you, most likely to help, maybe change your invites to social messages so they don’t block you view.
  14. Yupyup, I tank on a Jugg and PT, love those instaqueues plus the field respect unlock is very nice when I want to solo dailies and stuff. Not having to pay for a respect, plus able to do it anywhere (priceless).
  15. Or you could just, I don't know, do the quest again for free...
  16. Your analogy is wrong. The food is free, so are the table, chairs and silverware. If you want salt, pepper and hot sauce, you’re going to have to buy it. There is not anything wrong with their f2p setup, you’re getting the game for free, can play it to level 50 without restriction. edit- I know someone will say but, but, but there ARE restrictions, Ops WZ's and FP's. Those are side items to their leveling game.
  17. Yep, our party make-up was less than optimal also lol, to say the least. Assassin tank great, Jugg tank in tanking gear DPSing((me)not so great) Jugg tank in DPS gear DPSing(better than me at least ) Merc healer with okish gear. Other than the healer dying once because everyone was busy trying to beat the enrage timer we did fine. After that death, I watched him closer and offtanked when needed. We never even came close to a second death. It was my first time in Foundry HM, also the other Juggs first time in foundry period. None of the gear I have is from an Op, it’s all orange/drop purple with Daily 51 armorings and 50/51 mods an such, so no, I’m not waaay over gearing it and neither were the rest of the group. Play smart and have a semi-competent tank/healer and you should breeze through that place.
  18. Im fairly sure your husband meant 3mbps which works out to around 375kBps, so a download speed of around 305kBps isn’t all that bad, for your connection. I think Comcast has a 25mbps down 5mbps up link for about $59 a month. That would give you around 3125mBps throughput speeds. Mine is 30/10 and I generally get around 2750mBps when I do updates for swtor. Try pausing the download for 5 seconds then unpausing it, that will resync the download and can sometimes boost the speed for you.
  19. It stops your camera from going auto-forward when you release the mouse-look button.
  20. Farm Heroic Quests on the planet you want the coms from. theyre repeatable per day. Or, run the Flash Point thats appropriate for the level the planet is.
  21. Wouldn’t have mattered which side I pulled since both ran into the room instead of waiting in the hallway, both times.
  22. Sorry, but I use my companion in instances all the time, so your point is moot.
  23. I have no problems with that situation at all. I agree that companions in SWTOR are a special case and as long as they’re part of our characters as they are needing for them is totally appropriate. The people I have a problem with are the ones who roll Need so they can sell it on the AH or vendor it because they “Need” credits. Anyone does that in my groups I’d kick in a heartbeat, but never for companion needing.
  24. I literally just pulled 4 out of nowhere (that’s how many GW2 gave) so don’t get your hopes up a lot. I would like to see 4, but I think 2 or 3 is more likely. I plan to keep my sub as long as they don’t try to nickel and dime us to death with stuff that should be fluff but is actually needed in game and is only available through the Cartel Shop. That shop, to me anyway, is for vanity/fluff items (which I LOVE btw hehe) and will probably be spending a lot of coins on, but when it becomes a NEED to buy them and not just my own personal desire to have the ‘pretty’ then I’m done.
