  1. Have we both played the same game? oO i don't think so, maybe your headphones are broken, i can't remember a not-synched quest in GW2 unlike swtor which has a lot of unsynched quests. The thing that GW2 does different is that it has a dynamic world, npcs aren't just standing around talking about how they are beeing attacked, they are realy beeing attacked and if you don't safe them then they will just be dead for quite a time with no one able to do that quest in that time, so no i'm deffinatly not staying when GW2 launches, not only because of the dynamic world but because it has like 0 grind to it and has actual endgame content and the engine can handle massive pvp battles 200vs200vs200.
  2. the thing that a quest is synched or not does nothing to prevent it from becoming just grinding when you do it the 2nd time, copy&paste of classic-wow quests with voice acting was a very terrible design choice, they could have at least copied the quests of wotlk or cataclysm which offer more variety... As to the topic, i think it has something to do with the fact that some guys that have developed the hero engine got recruited to the swtor team and there they then started advertising their ****** engine to make profit.
  3. Unfortunatly there is no real competition to madden but i will deffinatly never try an EA mmorpg again and not because they partialy ****ed up swtor but because of the terrible support, communication policy and very slow bugfixing.
  4. No i don't absolutly enjoy it but it isn't a total disaster either, the game is just very oldschool, they simply copy&pasted vanilla world of warcraft and syncrhonized quest texts, the game is like a time travel to 2004 and that's why it isn't great, everything in it is outdated by many years and doesn't make fun for a lot of people anymore, besides that WoW offers exactly the same as swtor in a much larger quantity and quality (no need to wait months for a bugfix) except the spoken questtexts. Why do i play it then? > because i'm not buying anything from Blizzard anymore untill they fix Diablo3 and there is nothing else to play while waiting for Guild wars 2.
  5. The engine is the one big point that led to countless other issues this game has, supported by the typical EA buggy game-rush without endgame content. Just take warhammer online as an example, if that game would have been released in it's current state rather then the alpha stage that hit the market, it would be still a very big player in the game. Mmo-gamers are unforgiving, releasing content later with the hope that people will want to wait is delusional, take the secret world for example, that game will fail as hard as tor and warhammer online and that only because of the same ****heads that make decisions at EA.
  6. Cloning any game won't work anymore, you can't just copy the burning crusade in 2012 and except that people will want to play it, the future of mmo's will be determined by their inovativeness, nobody wants to smash buttons anymore and let the character do the hard work, the future is in life action combat where you actualy have to aim, manualy block/parry and choose your attacking direction. Also raiding and farming dailys is a thing of the past, it's just not fun dooing the same thing over and over again, endgame should make fun and has to be something nobody has seen before to keep people entertained. And the last and most important thing for a succesfull mmo is that it has stable and fast servers, an engine that can handle 100's of people in the same zone at the same time, and EA failed hard to deliver that.
  7. they will never do that, they haven't even realised that it is the broken game and not the payment modell that causes players to leave
  8. from which i have seen so far, every storyline can only be better then the SI...
  9. as soon as you hit 50, you are ready to do hm's, if you aren't one of those who keyboard turn and run against walls.
  10. yes, but it would take years, so we will have to live with this crappy engine or leave the game.
  11. the maintance hours for the game are a real joke, i wan't subscribe for another month because of this.
  12. ... the customer support, seriously over 5 days waiting for a ticket to be answered is like spitting everyone who bought this game in the face.
  13. It would be great if you could walk around your ship while the planet you want to go too is beeing loaded in the background, next to that make the fleetchat available at your ship and the loading times will be much better to endure.
  14. still, imp > rep, i'm glad that even lvl 50 reps keyboard turn and run against walls.
  15. ich muss dem threadersteller hier leider recht geben, die story ist zwar da aber das questdesign ist von 1999, hier hätte sich bioware ein Beispiel an cataclysm nehmen können.
  16. if this game flopps, it will only be the engines fault, other things can be fixed (content, bugs) but you can't change the engine.
  17. lol? you are level 50, so you are qualified for the eternity vault.
  18. the reps are bad on every server, so that wouldn't fix anything
  19. sry to disappoint you but every hardmode flashpoint has been cleared in the first week after release, even i defeated malgus hm a week before you.
  21. wait, you realy want a number to determine how skilled a player is? you failed hard bob.
  22. the medal system is crap, you only get medals for zerging, if you decide to do something useful in a bg like capturing a point or making a score at huttball you get nothing but if you run around in the bg farming low level chars you could end up with 14 medals.
