  1. This would result in a waste of resources to inform people who would just criticize and demand changes to a game system that has already been set. Its just pointless and would only cater to a few who understand game design and coding.
  2. Number one, they are repeatable. Hence this torpedoes the whole "Teaching argument". If your a player thats learn something you have learn it. You don't forget riding a bike or swimming? Secondly this is a very wrong assumption that you clearly assume. Remember that players can learn these tactics right off the first operation they enter. There is a difference to a teaching mechanic and then just plain brutally difficult when it comes to most heroic missions especially at end game. The reason players are doing it is for the rewards. Don't sit there and tell me this is teaching anyone, cause as I have said before when players learn an encounter once they won't forget it ever. Its clear right of the damn bat that leveling heroics should be scaled with DPS in mind. Requirements for tanking and healing are pointless. They should be there to speed the mission completion time up. Such as a tank taking all the mobs so DPS can AoE burst them down or healer keeping players with high health so they won't be forced to spend much their time using there class healing ability between packs of mobs. Slap achievements on those missions were a tank and healer are essential and at least people will attempt them with that set. But to be clear, heroic planetary missions should be mild at the most. Requiring DPS to at least coordinate. Not having to sit at a planet and hope there is a tank and healer with sufficient gear and level with the right spec to get them through this is a significant waste of there time where they could be leveling. Believe me the harder it becomes the more I avoid them as I deem them not even necessary to reach end game level. Its much faster to sift through all the normal quests then to sit there waiting for a full group to try and attempt the heroic mission. Yeah its satifying getting it done, but the time and effort vs risk and reward is pointless in the long run. Maybe if they significantly upped the credit reward by a huge amount so people who do clear them can afford speeder training or personal legacy abilities such as boosted XP that it would encourage those players to do them so they can get through the game with a healthy heft of credits when they leave the planet. But right now its just easier to our right avoid them and do bonus missions then put up with them. I guess thats the trade off. No need to do bonus missions I guess. Anyway if the players are within the level bracket when they hand in they should be getting substantial credits to help chip in for legacy perks. To be clear. This won't help teach anyone unless there is a tank and healer in the "preflight" check list. So don't argue that its a teaching quest when obviously most players will have learned those roles doing story 5 mans.
  3. Same, however bioware has been known to ban those players lest they risk their good well behaved customers leaving. Believe me they don't want to be maggots crawling in the **** pile of game with nothing but bad press because of their players attitudes. I do see that system could be helpful, however the counter to this is that those kind of players will have access to that system and abuse players with it for petty reasons. To be fair, there should be a system to punish players who act irresponsible and go out of there way to be greedy and insulting to purposefully diminish the enjoyment of other players. But that system should never be third party to players.... I know this is contradictory but I was thinking maybe some player vigilante sick of this could set up a youtube channel that allows others to hand in videos of the players behaving horrible to other players so at least bioware can also narrow them down or become more motivated to investigate the players.
  4. Lets not forget the massive... to be fair **** UP they did with PTS character copy. Because of the lack of test players content patches were being released with massive bugs. What happens when pile on a content full of bugs on a heaping content full of bugs? You are forced to sift through a find them and the causes without it causing to much havoc to the system. Snipping a bug right out can sometimes cause instability with another working system that ends up being buggy. So again your forced to figure out the source and the best way to solve it. So it isn't as cut a dry. Also EA firing and bringing in new people who have not worked on this game and have no idea about the system making changes also aggravates the solution even further. So you have so many playing catchup while trying to release content on the schedule they promised not to miss, which in turn causes more bugs. Its pretty sad, but like the title says Priorities. Some of the bugs they have had since live is annoying but as long as it isn't game breaking or completely ruins a gamers experience you can live with the timeframe.
  5. Yeah that is annoying I was expect maybe 300 credit profit at the lowest. But when your loosing money constantly thats really a problem. I know its a gathering skill and thats were I usually use it. But obviously there should be some big payouts in the mission otherwise why the hell are they there? No one will use them then. Hopefully this would be fix and there would be rare cases in which you may a huge credit boom like 2000+ like a jackpot from the pokie machines.
  6. And sold out since 2011. Besides the whole CE was released only in America none of the other states. But I bet you a pound of my flesh that if they offered $40 to "upgrade" your account to CE there would be plenty of buyers. In anycase this is clearly an unfair system since it wasn't released internationally. Actually funny story, I was busy surfing the freaking sites here before the game went live looking to buy the CE with no luck. Same with their security key. You wonder why they are losing money? So to be fair I really do hope all the CE vendors get is reskins or a few Cartel market items untouched with each set release. Hell pretty sure if there was exp boosts there many people would be at least happy.
  7. You would have to run planetary missions for the comms. I don't think they would come from Raiding and 5-mans at end game level. But I could be wrong. Either way its far easier for you to craft the items plus the amount of planetary commendations you can get from missions seems very limited and the amount you have to spend for some are ridiculously high especially considering the limit of commendations one person can have.
  8. Same it literally meant no one could attempt botting or use multi-boxing as it was baseline removed. Sorta sad that I get use codes for emotes but that is more of a vanity thing to make up for WoW's complete lack of roleplaying feature. Where on SWTOR the roleplaying is done through questing that keeps me satisfied. With this system you have to be alert and skilled to play this game.
  9. PTS is more controlled and its seems most developers only seem to use it to back log bugs so when the game is released and a mass of the customers start screaming they realize its a real bug and get cracking on fixing it.
  10. To be clear I would rather no date announced then one announced. Bioware is obviously horrible with their deadlines and release content way before it should be.
  11. The title of this thread seems to be a paradox.
  12. Yeah its the type of *** I want to draw womens attention to in a video game. Yes I know its a paradox... women, video game. Like thats true?
  13. Yes I figured that. Just wanted to give their mouthpiece questions he chose to dodge or was to incompetent to think about or interpret from the obvious hundreds of suggestions placed out there and the consequences of bioware completely alienating the oceanic playerbase with this lazy decision. I mean why bother asking us for suggestions if you gonna go with nuclear options from the start. Its disrespectful dishonest and well australian slang they were dissing us all along.
  14. I really hate players who think with this mentaility. Basically to sum it up this equates to your whining. Merchant comes with the first apples from a distant region and begins to sell them. Someone: These apples I wonder if they taste good? You: I know this merchant he brings the best products from across the land if he sells it, its has to be delicious. Your Spoiler: Yeah I know the apples he gets them from taste really juicy and sweet with a crunchy texture. You: Dude! Spoiler alert! Not everyone wants to hear what apples taste like! Now you ruined my first taste and thus I shall never eat an apple ever again. Basically this is interchangeable with anything. From the invention of the wheel to reading a scientific report study on a new particle theory.
  15. A new level cap was introduced so of course there was going to be a huge power vacuum happening till things settled. Has happened with every MMO that raised their level cap. Give it some time and the dust will settle.
  16. Basically this and am glad that premades are getting a beat down. Originally the game power set was spec>gear>skill. Now it seems to be spec>skill>gear.
  17. LMAO, even if you got all the gear the fact is premades overwhealmed pugs with their numbers of players with superior gear and minor arse coordination. Proves that Premades vs premades should happen and PuG's against PuG's in every game. If you hate the queue time then break the group down. If you really are friends then you wouldn't mind playing against each other for competitive fun purposes. If not then your just one of the thugs who exploit the game to get the best gear possible.
  18. Did you try thinking about cross servers to fix the Queue solutions?
  19. Basically this. I had a huge feeling that Bioware would give up on the APAC servers but thought they might think of an inventive way to fix the population issues without sacrificing our ping. But with this many Australasia player will see no point in subscribing to this game and go back to WoW. Yes WoW is outdated and I hate how blizzard has turned it into a dying cashcow. But they do have the one thing SWTOR lacks and thats the cross realm queuing system that easily gets them into groups to do PvP and content. I really hope this isn't the final solution to the problem and that they keep working on it to attract more oceanic players, but you mistreat us here like every other MMO and most will flock back to the ones where they spent the most time and money on. And believe me it won't be this game.
  20. Also ignore those ideas of server transfers. This is only going to dig a bigger hole as people start jumping from server to server looking for greener pastures and instead causing massive server population imbalances. I don't think you want to be the ones to clean that mess up or even be the ones to police it. Its expensive and if not given proper attention will coalesce into massive server related issues through holidays a business ones.
  21. How about a decent advertisment campaign expressing the whole concept that the game is f2play and available to download in the oceanic areas? The only other solution I see here is cross server us with the US. That will keep most of the oceanic population intact with something to do while we wait for a fix to this mess you left since the beginning.
  22. Hence the dilemma, the ones who want to be pro's go premade but decide to sap the time of solo pugs to pass their time for enjoyment. Don't care what game or genre it is, PuGs should vs PuGs and premades should vs premades. If the premade guys can't deal with their premade wait time the simple solution is to break up into smaller groups and end up going against eachother in a pug match. You have vent, talking program, etc. Obviously you can spend time fighting each other and having fun and laughs while communicating. But no you instead decide to go and stomp pugs to blow some time and get some marks at the same and then wonder why the queues get longer and longer. What happens when you run into a game you can never beat and loses its fun factor? You quit. Thats plain and simple. Any premade who uses the excuse that they are puging in unranked matches to pass the time with friends is lying to you. You can most certainly spend time with chat programs for your friends spending time and having fun without making a pug players limited game time a living hell. But then again in time the Pugs will dwindle and you will be forced against premades at which point most these "elite" will queue quit to find some other group they can 1 shot for marks and fun. Eventually bioware will lose its PvP population and be forced with making Pugs vs Pugs and premades vs premades in unranked matches.

    24hr pvp

No it goes both ways and benefits all.
  24. If against a hybrid its difficult, but thats what happens when bioware boosts melee damage and nerfs sorcerers. This is exactly like the soul link/ soul siphon spec in WoW. The class was doing so terrible that players decided to hybrid the class inorder to survive and do damage. I am shock so many of you are arguing are melee classes who do so much damage and sorcerers dish out so little it takes so long to kill them. So really no point arguing for a nerf right off the bat. You want change then demand bioware fix the survivability, damage talent trees to make bubblebhybrid not worth speccing anymore
  25. Lightning can be excellent in PvP, but because of lack of survivability and the requirement to sit there to stream out our damage any focusing on us will typically end with our deaths. I really think crushing darkness should be instant right off the bat and paratism could either heal per our dots damage ticks or 3% and imp end tier talent would improve it alot to make us more squishy but pain if not focused. But I would rather Crushing darkness be instant. Thundering blast also needs to be instant and have some ability to give it more or a kick like a knockback. To be honest I was shocked to see this class which is supposed to be a force mastery one leave very little control and the ability to do some pain. Instead we are just weak lightning turrets with weak dots forced to run with the pack inorder to survive. 1vs1 and we die to every class. I am in fully augmented battlemaster/warlord gear and can attest to this. We get it much harder then mercs, cause they can dish out the damage and have abilities to help with survivability but lack the escapes. We lack the escapes, damage and survivability to do any damage. Against a merc we die pretty fast. In short stick with the group and find a place where no one will find you and you will do fine. But that rarely happens cause as soon as your figured out they will focus on you.
