  1. exactly....skin goes to light pale blue with veins showing through.
  2. Any misconceptions is due their own intentional vague descriptions. When you say...we have open world PVP.... Most PVP people will thing..... That means PVP anywhere at anytime. Not.....we have one zone that is open to PVP everywhere on it. Ilum is a Zone. Bioware was either...completely ignorant or willfully misleading with their statement. I am truly undecided on which one TBH. The way this game is, I am more inclined to think completely ignorant.
  3. heh...I hated Warcraft...when I heard of WoW, my first thought was...... I hate warcraft what the heck do I want with a whole world of it?
  4. I would actually tend to agree with you to point on that. I have said on many forums...players dont know what they want. But I also remember all the modding done to NWN by the community to fix it. But I am very distrustful of game developers, and if you put EA in front of that, well...it only amplifies my distrust. That is to say, they would not be willing to admit that their percentages are off, or more to the point, for the community to know so that they light up the forums about it. By hiding combat logs, it takes the best tool for the community to be able to prove a skill/stat/mechanic is broken....otherwise, we can only say it and having nothing to back it up with and of course the standard response is....that's just your perception...we have the data and it shows otherwise. But I'll give you the point that I dont want players dictating what the fix should be in exact numbers, but more oft than not, they are better at holding devs feet to the fire than devs themselves are if you follow what I am saying. EDIT: and to others, dont be calling anybody down on being harsh with me, it's the internet, get over it, grow a skin and dont be a whiny baby to the forum statsi about name calling or other such drivel. I can promise you, I'll never complain about anything said of me or to me. I stopped doing that in kindergarten.
  5. possibly...but since people were screaming for them prior to launch, 4 months should be enough time for them to scrub and adjust and be satisfied with releasing into the wild. But Bioware, being a single player game maker, has never really been one for feedback on design decisions....oh, you guys want pretty colors, or homosexual relationships...that's great feed back......but you think that X stat should be changed by Y percentage....they dont want to hear it. and I'd like to be proven totally wrong but that is the perception I have gained from following them since BG.
  6. only for yourself though. Not a complete log. And have they given an exact date on that? Cause it seems that they havent, and my feelings on that is that they are waiting til they are confident internally that the numbers are all right to their minds first.
  7. I'll tell you why they dont want you to have combat logs. Because then theorycrafter would be able to prove disparity in classes and abilities and balance and would be a nightmare for Bioware to have to deal with. Bioware doesnt like feedback on how to make their game, and allowing combat logs would bring on a storm of such with people being able to prove and counter any BS that BW may shovel to the community. As it stands right now, they can say....we see the numbers and like what we see, your impressions are unfounded. And they would be right, and they arent about to give you the tools to prove them wrong.
  8. What was the name of this game again?............. I've seen a couple of stars so far......but that other part...what was it again? ......that part totally escapes me.
  9. yep...it's like saying a guy missing his right leg is better than a guy missing his left leg in a butt kicking contest.....
  10. *chuckles* There have been ....literally....1000's of people telling bioware since Oct 2008 how to do PVP. But BW in their infinite wisdom and long history of making PVP and Multiplayer games...ignored the masses and did it their way.... *shrugs* FailWare screwed the pooch and ignored the players...and their subscription base is paying for it....enjoy SWTOR when it is F2P by christmas.
  11. PVP hacks arent important. This game was never intended for PVP in the first place, so hacks for PVP are secondary concerns. Not to mention that the fix....is just this side of impossible. They actually put control data on the client. If you dont know what that means, go ask a FPS player about it and tell them that BW did it and see how hard and long they laugh. The only way to fix that....is either to install spyware on every client, or redesign the whole game. My suggestion....play another game...one that actually has some kind of experience making a PVP and multiplayer game.....neither of which Bioware has ever done before.
  12. I am sorry OP, but you are playing a strictly PVE game. I know, I know.,...you problaby heard that blantant lie from the developers that they had open world PVP...I'll apologize to you for that, cause you can be damend sure that Bioware wont. Your best bet if you want something like that....and by that I mean PVP....is to go play another game. It is just that simple, Bioware has never made a PVP game or multiplayer game, and they dont have a clue what either of these things need or entails. You are playing the game wrong....just ask Bioware, they'll tell you so. It is blantantly obvious they never intended for you to interact with the other faction, from keeps you from being able to talk to them, to going out of their way to designing the planets to keep the factions seperated instead of encountering each other.
  13. Yeah...they're philosophy of it's finished when it's finished is great.... Except one thing....what's that one thing we constantly hear about MMO's... They're never finished. Actually what their motto has proven to be is that they deride and look down upon the very ones who feed them. We dont have cross faction chat because we couldnt be trusted not to troll the other faction and hurt their feelings, and nobody should have to figure out how to use the ignore feature...they actually said that....basically saying...you're too stupid to to be relied upon to use something like ignore or report. .....I wish I was joking or making this up. They are shocked PVP is so popular because the constant day to day to day PVP threads on the forums for the past 4 plus years evidently wasnt a big enough hint. The thousands of post from the community on the matter...while closed with the quickness and iron hand of a hitleresque proportion....evidently didnt give them a clue that there was a significant number of pvp enthusiasts following this game. When players take the path of least resistance....it's the players fault for not playing the game the way the developers wanted us to. Yeah...that works. And to put icing on the cake. I submitted a ticket a few weeks ago about a stack of 99 nanosilk disappearing, I got the email for the auction and the deposit was in there but not the stack of 99...I clicked on the deposit, and the email auto deletes. No biggy, I go ahead and open a ticket on it. Few days later I log in to find a response that says, the logs dont reflect this, and the ticket closed with no option for me to respond. I do helpdesk support, I dont get to close out the ticket til the person who opens it is ok with it being closed. Obviously I am just a little miffed that my ticket is closed out. I go to the cusotmer server forums here, I post the ticket number and ask to speak someone concerning it. Ignored and I just bumped it last week. Still ignored. I could care less about the stack, hell, I had it on the GTN for 20K, and had a few hundred thousands of cridet in my account. Not like I am trying to scam or get rich off of it. But Bioware isnt concerned about their customers, they couldnt give a **** less. So, I'll have a nice long rant about BW, but that was the main thing that pushed me over the edge, I know how to do their job, and according to my boss, I am in the top 10% of a crew of 500 for a large technical company that wins awards for our Tech Support...to put it simply.. I could do their job and run circles around them doing it. But then I am American and Bioware couldnt afford to hire me. and that is the main reason I am leaving, I can take bugs, and poor design decisions that are acknowledged, but poor customer service...that wont be fixed. BUt I plan to raise a little hell til my sub expires.
  14. Dont let the door hit ya on the way out.....or else I might not make it out too.
  15. Was thinking the same thing....perhaps they want everybody to have the same stats in PVP and the fights actually be determined by the players themselves instead of time invested in grinding. *shrugs* I dont have any hopes of that being the case, but it would be nice wouldnt it.
  16. *chuckles* so much information in that interview I almost fell asleep.
  17. Is supposed to be....but it isnt. Best way to play a sniper....... Reroll a force user. <----Lvl 50 Sniper, all champ gear and just cant endure the torture of getting battlemaster. I am also lvl 59 Valor....but just cant be bothered cause it aint gonna make a difference with a fundamentally flawed class.
  18. It's none of your business how they decide. You're just a player, just play the damned game and leave the hard decisions to Bioware. *points to the combat log as proof*
  19. it shouldnt be a gateway for the batch.... You die....30 seond lock out some else dies.....30 second lock out Not...I die, have 30 seconds left....guy dies 2 seconds before my 30 is up...he comes right back out as well.....
  20. as opposed to running on an endless treadmill or hamster wheel?
  21. Why play PVP on a game that had no intention of having PVP. You should be watching reruns of the quest on your alts....thats the intended end game. Basically if you are PVPing in SWTOR, you're doing it wrong. Dont blame me if you dont play the game the way the devs want you to.
  22. starwars fans that never played a MMO. That is it. It definately is not MMO Fans, or PVP Fans, or Gamer Fans.
  23. Dont forget the 20 meter range on those grenade as well, not being effected by IA's Tech tree. :/ But if youre willing to RE a couple million credits worth of junk, you might find an earpiece that you can sell for 25K on the GTN once a week or so...depends on the amount of idiot on your server.
  24. How does it not? If they pissed off the majority of the people who purchased the game....then wouldnt a majority of the threads and posts be negative as well?
  25. They deserve what they are getting. They absolutely blantantly ignored the players. Which has long been the modus operandi of Bioware, and especially EA. A match made in the blackest of hells. They are shocked that PVP was so important to the players....considering I was one of the first 1000 people to register on these forums, I can say unequivocally that the only reason for that is that they refused to listen to the huge multitudes of the people pre-beta asking for it and suggesting ways to do it. They somehow managed to reach the conclusion that the people that played SWG and loved it til Sony stuck it in and broken it off....didnt know what they wanted....refusing to learn from others mistakes...how quaint. I could almost forgive them for that, except they actually had the audacity to try to hype this game as having "Open world PVP"....as anybody can tell you, their ....open world pvp.....could very well be the poorest excuse of open pvp ever done in a game. The open world PVP is a freaking open Zone PVP....one Zone and they go out of their way to keep the factions apart both ingame and out of game. They went out of their way to fragment and seperate the playerbase from each other. Like the golden rule of MMO's is to have people together not intentionally seperate them. I could keep going...but it is just obvious that someone at Bioware should have taken a MMO 101 class.
