I always figured they should just make the offhand a flexible option. Make the offhand a pistol or saber or vibrosword or whatever. You get the same exact stats you'd have with a generator or focus. I really like this cosmetic slot idea tho... It may be better than my idea.

The problem is already self resolving. When you are 4 levels higher than content you get less xp. Still want "challenge" even tho you are a higher level? Don't keep your gear up to date. The lvl difference can be mitigated with crap gear. You also save a ton of credits. OP the problem you propose already has in game mechanics in place to mitigate the perceived issue. You must simply take advantage of them.

It may not be in game. At a guess i'd say probably something in the lvl 35 to 40 range.

I've never understood this argument that PVP and PVE have to be separate. I Also don't get why "PVE'ers" get upset when PVP gear can be used in PVE. I've also always thought that having a separate PVP stat was ridiculous. They should have simply made it different appearance gear, with the different set bonus's and some different stat prioritization on PVP gear. Expertise was a bad idea. Having separate PVP and PVE gear punishes PVE players when they stumble into open world PVP and are playing against those IN full PVP gear.

Just equip him in lvl appropriate gear. At lvl anything he's the best DPS companion to use.

Also, Legendary items coming soon! Read between the lines with the latest dev blog. Legendary weapon missions are why we'll have a reason to revisit planets.

That gun was just the wrong color, it had no legendary stats.

THIS, it was pretty much stated as this waaaaay back in the Beta in the summer of 2011 when they put the credit sink and one hour wait timer in. (the timer is anti-exploit btw)

Reminder: they are doing a "stat balance adjustment" in January/February. I think this is more significant than what makeb will bring in regards to gear.

We ended up using facebook but not everyone wanted to use it. C. It hurt that there was no guild mail, guild calender, or guild search feature. B. would have helped but in game is better.

Steelseries! I have an Ikari Laser That I've put through hell and it runs like a champ. Their build quality is insane. They have many new models. I can't recommend strongly enough. also FWIW, i hate my naga. wish i never bought it. trash.

The shell color doesnt matter, it can be a moddable green orange or purple shell. All that matters is the mods you put in it.

Yes, this is a valid point, it is in everyone's best interest to get the quad buff..

Some classes (like Gunslinger) do seem to suffer some level of ability bloat. When you have 3 hot-bars of abilities that you actively use and a fourth hot-bar of abilities that go unused. That IS somewhat cumbersome. On the flip side there is Commando which has like 5 abilities in total that get used at 50. so, yeah. Trim a little bloat here, make some things passive and add some better abilities there and i think it would be a benefit long term.

You are both wrong. Take a level 40 toon, equip him in greens and join a warzone. Now take the same toon, give him full lvl 40 purples and join a warzone. You will have different bolstered stats. Wearing greens bolsters you to lvl 49 IN greens equivalent. Wearing purples bolsters you to lvl 49 IN purples equivalent.

In Beta on the Esselles Bridge they USED TO do some lines from Airplane. Haven't seen them do it since the game went Live tho.
