  1. ....................the #$%& is a forum hug!? =/ Is this a new kind of technology? I WANT IT.
  2. That instance is so looooooooooooooooooong *cry* D< Yeah I'm glad to see Hateful and Dragonslayer both go down. =)
  3. Ah the sweet nectar of friendly competition..... Let the tug-of-war begin http://www.torparse.com/a/612532/time/1394162920/1394163350/0/Damage+Dealt Calculated DPS is 3491.95. Character: Rosalyn | Class: Sage | Spec: Telekinetics (3/36/7) And yes, I remembered to spec out of my self-heal. =P Your move Deimon. *twirls beard evilly*
  4. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh I hate parsing on the 1.5m dummy. Curse you! D=< Grats man =)
  5. Ah, ok. =) I was wondering why there was another progression thread, was like "Uh, wha?" Cool beans.
  6. ............Why do we have another progression thread? We already have one. =/ I mean, unless I'm uninformed about something. Torgru never said they were giving up the other progression thread.
  7. Grats PV. =) Good to see progression moving along nicely on the thread. Everyone's been putting their nose to the grindstone so to speak, so I'm happy for that. Who says an RP server can't have PvE capable guilds? =P
  8. .........Dude, use adrenals and go place on the world board. Seriously. With those numbers you'd probably easily place.
  9. Rotation is all wrong. Stop using Chain Lightning. Seriously.
  10. No problem man. =) Always willing to offer suggestions to a fellow Sage.
  11. Low APM in TK spec can usually be attributed to not using enough things fast enough. A couple things that can make APM die are as follows: - Latency. Nothing to be done but adjust. - Try to use your next move after TkThrow IMMEDIATELY after TkThrow is finished, but not during the end or you'll clip your last hit. - Don't wait for Turbulence or Mind Crush to finish their cooldown if they have like .2 or .3 seconds left. Cast another move (usually Disturbance) and THEN cast your Turbulence or Mind Crush. - Mental Alacrity should be used on cooldown, regardless of where you are in your rotation. Also make sure to get as many Disturbances and Telekinetic Waves under Mental Alacrity as you can; they have 60% chance to double tick while Mental Alacrity is active which further reduces the cooldown of your next Mental Alacrity). That is to say, if Mental Alacrity is close to ending and you have the choice between casting a couple Disturbances or a Disturbance and a TkThrow on proc, cast two disturbances and then use your TkThrow proc. You should never delay Turbulence or Mind Crush though for this purpose, as Turbulence is a heavy damage dealer and Mind Crush has great potential to lower the cooldown of Mental Alacrity. - Just clean up the time between casts. There should be little to no time between anything you do, including using cooldowns off the GCD (like Force Potency, Mental Alacrity, Adrenals, things like that). All cooldowns that are off the GCD should be used in the span of the single GCD after any given instant move, or RIGHT after a casted move finishes, not as another "move" that takes a GCD (or even half a GCD) and then go into another skill. Button mashing my next skill before the previous one finishes casting is one way I keep my APM up, with the exception of TK Throw of course, because you'll ending up breaking your cast. Just keep working on making everything super fluid, and the APM will go up.
  12. Yeah no joke. It's a pretty serious awareness check for the group, and it puts the DPS's add-switching ability to the test. Even if you're overgeared for it things can still go horribly wrong if people aren't paying attention.
  13. Ooooh, and the plot thickens...=P I actually don't have a parse on the 1.5m dummy that beats my current one (what do I look like, Marisi?) so if you beat that one I'll have to reparse =x Gogogo!
  14. Thanks for the grats guys, it's a pretty fun fight overall (ugh it's so LOOOOOONG. @_@)
  15. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH *asplodes* Must parse better...
  16. Nah I think there will still be an ICD on FL, they just didn't mention it in the patch notes. That would be retarded. =/ Also yeeeaaah, Lightning/TK is incredibly RNG dependent. It's not unusual for me to get a parse as BAD as 3200 (it does happen occasionally), and then get a 3500 the very next parse. One of the other things that sticks out between the two specs is the sheer higher amount of actual "hits" in Madness (about 200 higher!) as opposed to Lightning, assuming both have the same TTK. This evens out the crit rate much more in Madness as opposed to Lightning, since the main damage dealer in Madness (on a move-by-move basis) is FL, and that is much more reliable on crit since it hits twice as much as Lightning's main damage dealer, LS. Not to mention all the dot ticks that go out. Since TB is an auto crit in Lightning, that has no RNG associated with it except for the double tick, but even then, my Turbulence (TB) hits for at most 8600 without relics and as high as 9800 with relics. So whether your Turbulence falls under no, one, or two relics, as well as other high-damaging moves (which Lightning is FULL of) can affect DPS a fair bit as well. In short, fail RNG is fail. It's still gonna be more RNG dependent than Madness even after 2.7, but QoL in Lightning is gonna be much better than in Madness due to force management. =(
  17. Balance is also far less dependent on RNG. Not COMPLETELY less, but it is much less dependent on RNG. In Balance, your RNG consists of PoM procs, which to be fair, can make bad things happen if it doesn't proc. In TK, your RNG consists of TkT procs, TkW procs (it IS possible to go 5 or 6 disturbances without a TkW proc, I've done it *cry*), and double ticks on FOUR different moves, which directly affects the cooldown of a skill that dramatically helps to keep TK DPS up. The 4pc set bonus is not mentioned because both specs rely on that proc. So I can totally see the average parse of Balance being slightly higher. =) It just doesn't really ever spike up if things are going well. TK does, and quite a bit at that. =o I've had parses in TK where my DPS spikes by over 100 after a Mental Alacrity (sometimes as high as 3800-3900 after my third Mental Alacrity use) only to drop to a 3550 by the end of the parse because the crits and double ticks in the second half are absolute garbage. =( I love the spec to death, but I'm so glad they're removing the RNG on TkT and TkW procs. It's going to make the damage much more streamlined, albeit still pretty dependent on double ticks. I've actually run out of Tremors during a parse before. Now THAT'S bad RNG.
  18. Hit more buttons....no seriously, hit more buttons. After you get the rotation down pat, work on just using everything faster. If your double ticks are particularly favorable and your 4pc set bonus decides to proc consistently, then you'll see a slight variance in APM toward the favorable side. But other than that, if you have the 4pc set bonus and you know the rotation, just do it faster honestly. Practice stuff like hitting your next ability after Telekinetic Throw as SOON as you can without clipping TK throw, and making sure your next ability gets used the instant your last one is done. I generally button mash to accomplish this (except for TK throw obviously), but even with the changes to GCD bug, I find my latency pushing my APM consistently to 41.8 instead of the 42.2 or higher I know I'm capable of (I once had an APM of 42.73, it was nuts. =P)
  19. I can't speak for Handcuff since he has slightly better gear and less latency issues than I do (grr all I want is on eparse where I break 3650 D= ) but my average DPS between all the parsing I've done recently is around 3450-3500 when I get decent crits. It's probably closer to 3450 on average. *hopes to himself that Handcuff's numbers are roughly the same on his average parse* His are probably closer to 3500 on average.
  20. :< I wanna be part of the cool Sage club... *cry* Lawl jk. Mad respect to all of you.
  21. Nothin to watch play out Rydarus, let it be. And Az'rael....lol. You're a ton of fun to have around you know that? =P
