  1. If you split up premade teams then queues will be too long. What other MMOs actually do this proposed idea of yours?
  2. PVE is only fun for me when people take it seriously. A lot of people who think they take PVE seriously are grossly overestimating their enthusiasm and competence. The only people who I ever see take PVE seriously are PVPers. This has been true in every single MMO I've ever played. I've never enjoyed raids conducted by people who don't PVP. Why? Because they just don't care as much. They don't want to grind, they don't want to min max, they don't get EXCITED. All the PVErs will do with that new weapon is stand around in town showing it off. A PVPer is going to go ruin someone's day with it. PVPers get personal. You can't get personal with an NPC.
  3. Yeah. There is at least one "WoW is dying" thread on the WoW general forums every day. They wisely added an Off-topic forum to help redirect some of the trolls, however. This forum definitely needs an off-topic place.
  4. I understand a lot of bugs in this game might not be easy to fix. But slicing is not bugged. These nerfs are judgment calls. And based off of WHAT is what I would like to know! How can you have beta for so long and never once test slicing profits? Why nerf them right at the beginning of launch? Why nerf them even more with the first big patch??
  5. That is ridiculously awful. I used to make around 50k or so if I played for a significant amount of time (probably around 8 hours, like you, Helishron) on my days off. That was with only two people slicing at a time! When the servers came up I tested it and 5/6 times I had no profit, and the one time I did profit, it was a lousy 100c. It's not worth micromanaging my crew members for 17k every 7 hours. Slicing needs a major overhaul! I don't want to abandon a lv400 crew skill (especially now that my income is greatly lessened!), but I don't want to handicap myself for months waiting for a true fix.
  6. I always have this issue, usually at the worst times. And I can key 100 words per minute..has nothing to do with being a bad typist. It's just a bad key to bind to something that you may only use a couple times a year.
  7. This new nerf has made slicing missions completely unprofitable. We're just asking for a modest profit, we don't want to make 10k each mission. They went from 4000c profit to -90c per mission. This doesn't make sense. It's called BALANCE. Make each mission profitable by 100c-3000c and I think everyone will be happy.
  8. Let me correct you. Slicing was awesome. Then it got nerfed to acceptable, mildly profitable levels. It got ninja-returned to pre-nerf levels. Now today, it is nerfed to an UNPROFITABLE level. I lost money 5/6 times today. It's completely pointless now. Devs, please return it to a mildly profitable level or just remove it from game.
  9. PVP is great on Infinite Empire Imperial side. Queues are, on average, two minutes longer, but the sides are better matched and no one is steamrolling the other team now (except with strategy, of course).
  10. Got rid of the 50s, now I can go back to feeling useful in PVP without having to queue with 3 lv50 guildmates. Every game has bugs. Including single player games. People who get upset over things they can't control need to seriously re-think their lives and their place in the world. They also need to understand that $15 isn't even enough to buy lunch for two at Taco Bell. I hate F2P games, but the fans for P2P are soooooooooooo muchhhhhhhhhh worseeeeeeeeee. I've played far inferior F2P games and the forums rarely had negativity.
  11. I would love a game based around Imperial Agents. Lots of stealth-reliant missions, lots of sociopolitical maneuvering, little actual combat - it being reserved for special boss fights mainly. Oh and Sims Star Wars, so not kidding Just an entirely social game where you get to soak up all the Star Wars flavor.
  12. I think they will implement Togruta, it's not hard to see they're a fan favorite.
  13. Once you get off the second planet, you see this less and less. Game breaking, it is not.
  14. There are recently made games that don't do this? It comes with the territory of this being a social game and not a single player game.
  15. It's a press release, not a hard-hitting piece of journalism. Do you know what marketing is?
  16. Yeah, there is security in a name brand that has been at the forefront of pop culture for decades. People don't invest lightly in MMOs. It just makes sense, and it's why EA/Bioware put so many resources into this project.
  17. It's not really that hard to finish the starting areas. Plus if alts were able to skip the starter zones, it would be too hard for new players to get heroic groups. Some people, gasp, actually like helping new players, and if you took away the prime opportunity for these two groups to meet, then it wouldn't help anyone.
  18. I don't doubt you, but I would like to see the source for this. I'm willing to wait patiently as long as I know something is for sure on the horizon.
  19. I rolled Empire because my fiance wanted to and playing this game was his idea. I'm light side on most of my chars, including my main. I also think the Empire has way more aesthetically pleasing races. Zabrak and Twi'lek have better skin colors and markings on the Imperial side, and Chiss and Sith are much cooler than the blind guys and green guys. I love the Imperial Agent storyline, and what I've seen of the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor storylines is pretty epic. The Bounty Hunter storyline is, in my opinion, rather weak, but it has good companion stories. I played a Jedi warrior for a few levels and the zone was just too goody-goody for me, even as a light side player. It really made me want to go back to the Empire, so I did
  20. Awesome, the series can be put into the hands of someone who still cares now!
  21. All of these ideas sound great. But it should require guild quests to access most of them, like WoW (I don't know who made the ideas first, I just only saw guild quests in WoW, if some other game made it first then fine.) I mostly just want something to decorate
  22. This is EA. Half of the development budget has gone towards expansions. That should be pretty obvious. This game will be very awesome and polished in two years, and yes, I will stick around for it the whole time.
  23. I would love to have our ships expanded upon, to be customizable and have reasons for asking people over. It could be just like the Sims Social, give daily quests to raise affection with actual players. It would be a very fun way to raise social points.
  24. I'm guessing they function very poorly. These are your coworkers who constantly complain about lack of hours, yet when they're asked to do a double shift, they refuse.
  25. There are always people who rush to the end and burn themselves out in the process. They just don't get it.
