  2. Yep.. Using the binoculars or "reconnaissance scanner" that comes with the mission, but I know theres suppose to be a tall, tower like structure atop a building guarded by 2 big a** turrets. But there isn't...

Doing the alert mission set for belsavis (prelude to its star fortress) and whenever I go to "scout" the base, the top part of base that's supposed to light up orange and complete the mission, is completely gone? As if it needs to spawn? I've reset the mission multiple times, left the planet and came back and even waited near by for roughly 10 mins. Can't continue thus quest.. I've done all of the other ones and even watched someone do this one on YouTube so I know I'm in the right area.

Unfortunately the way GC is set up with endgame, it really is a waste of time having alts these days. :-/ Unfortunately I don't have much experience with Sin and I'm currently leveling a Mara now but my main is smuggler so Id like to think of myself as an expert on that class. I can say for certain that you can get your burst fix with your operative. Even though it's out performed by Merc and Sin in this regard, I personally findd it the most fun. Almost certain Sin is getting a nerf very soon so I wouldn't get invested in one now if you aren't already. Also the smuggler /op utilities are insane, I have nearly 6 full bars full of skills most of which situational. (some of which are pots, mounts, pets, tps etc... ofcourse ) But Between that, speccing and learning the class, my survivability is fantastic. Certainly not the best class at the moment but very fun and absolutely viable. My only real gripe is that it really doesn't suit the new expansion stories at all. From an RP perspective, the class doesn't fit well. By the way, you should get out of the mindset of sticking to one spec. U can get much more out of each class that way.
  5. Different poses and positions to hold the Saber such as reverse grip. Even if it's a taunt and reverts back to normal as son as your in combat.
  6. The naginata style Saber is pretty interesting. Impractical but neat.
  7. Trying to keep my answer short, Yes. When you are speaking to NPCs that pretty much solely connect to GC (odessan /alerts etc..) they go to a classic style text base dialog. You should probably do a little reading up on the expansions to get a more in depth explanation but, no its not a bug.
  8. Well we gotta give everyone a chance. 80% of the groups I join struggle with HM. NiHM/ops seems out of the question for a large portion of the typical playerbase.
  9. I think the devs have realized that no matter what they do, there will be tons of hate so they make the most lucrative changes they can to keep people playing for a long time. Whatever works best. If current mode fails they'll adjust fire. But as far as I can tell user base has been at a steady incline since KotFE. So they'll keep adjusting that until player base falls off. Complaining won't matter, they are only looking at numbers at this point. Believe it or not you may just be part of the loud minority and expendable for the sake of the greater playerbase.
  10. To echo the previous posters, the story won't be enough to bring you back long term. Although personally I enjoyed it. In some ways it's interesting, like killing off companions, and in some ways it's awful like pandering only to force users yet sometimes trying not too and forcing you to use military weapons to kill certain bosses so u end up with a mess from an RP standpoint. But they've added added so much QoL that as an MMO its pretty solid. People on forums are very quick to gripe and ***** but those very people would probably admit that it's still pretty fun despite its flaws. There's a lot I disagree with here, but at the end of the day if you wanna attach to an MMO. This, GW2 and WoW are really your best options IMO. Especially as a star wars fan.
  11. Haven't seen any recent real headcount but based on what I've personally noticed, it's trooper. Vanguard more than anything. Also don't see sent/Mara on my server as often as I see everything else. Sin/shadow, sage/inqis are at an all time high. Although these have always been very popular classes, I'd say they are now much more so due to the expansion story panders most to force users like these.
  12. This is stupid. How ever I will agree, cartels should have another way to be earned other than with real money. Perhaps 2 per HM FP?
  13. That's cool and all... would be nice if we got some more non-companion related news.. Since launch i personally would have preferred they not be in the game at all. Takes away from the "badazz/lonewolf" MMO experience.

  15. So, starting at 60 is a super bold feature... presumably meaning they have a ton of content to back that up. But, i've been hoping to hear about what else is to come with the expansion as well.. "Patch notes" if you will. New classes? skills? skill tree, planets, armor sets, balancing, pvp maps, raids, addons, controller support, UI overhauls, mounts, pets, etc etc... basically... Is it just a series of quest lines or will there be features added and revamped to the game as a whole. Is it just a Story or will there be more GAME?
  16. Guardian - best story. lots of useful CDs. Heavy armor. simple rotations. not as good with pulling and holding aggro as other tanks and VG/PT arguably has slighter better survivability. but works well enough.
  17. lol All of them. I admit i've only completed the Assassin for empire though. I played all the pub ACs completely. So i just basing imperial classes off of rumor and other threads.

Fun = Operative > Assassin/Shadow > Scoundrel > Sorc > Sage > Merc > PT > Guardian/Jugg = Mara/Sent > VG > Sniper/Slinger Difficulty = Sage/Sorc > Op/Scoundrel > Merc/Mando > PT/VG > Sin/Shadow >Sniper/Slinger > Sent/Mara > Guardian/Jugg PVP Tank = VG/PT > Assassin/Shadow > Jugg/Guardian PVP DPS =Sage/Sorc > Sent/ Marauder >Jugg/Guard(smash. for now) > Slinger/Sniper > Merc/Mando> Sin/Shadow > Scoundrel/Op > VG/ PT (55 bracket) PVP Heal = Scoundrel/Ops > Sage/Mando = Mando/Merc PVE Tank = Guardian/Jugg > VG/PT > Sin/Shadow PVE DPS = Merc/Mando almost = Slinger/Sniper > PT/VG almost = Sent/Mara > Sin/Shadown > Guardian/Jugg > Sage/Sorc > Scoundrel/Op (parses) PVE Heal = Sage/Sorc > Mando/Merc = Scoundrel/Op These are all marginal ratings and greatly depend on gear and rotations (and for PvP; "circumstances") so there's really no wrong choice.   19. PT is just more satisfying because of what it is not necessarily what they do. They are mirror classes but PT has best skill animations and just looks cooler. It's a popular class cus your a "Jedi slaying badazs for hire with a ton of gadgets". Trooper is more or less just some random soldier in the republic military. obviously the story buffs your significance a little but honestly you simply don't feel like a big deal comparatively speaking. I got my marauder to 45 about 8 months ago and haven't looked back. not that drawn to the class so i honestly don't know what's the best tree but as far as i recall "DotSmash" was the build of choice and parses highest. Then annihilation. Carnage does well i guess, and Rage is still for the moment great in PvP but not to popular for Endgame raiding and like u said it's taking a hit 2.7.
  20. nah he was right on. Rattataki haven't been known to be that exceptionally gifted in the force. BH -cyborg or Rattataki. i'd say the latter tho.. (have you heard the voice!?) Sith Inquisitor - Human/ twi-lek/ Zabrak fits. Though i'd say Human is more likely.
  21. ^Basically what he said. just note Scoundrel is great fun but tough to perform and Most people would rather you heal. Commandos are superb dps and gunslinger as well. I'd go with one of them.

It's a matter of preference. Story = Mara > Scoundrel > Sage > VG > PT
  23. a bit vague. pve? pvp? story? end game? dps? heal? tanking? solo alot? group play? what are your preferences? every class is awesome and suckish for different reasons.
  24. Please heed this.. I finally was able to get a rare Weapon off CM that was 8mil on GTN 1 day and Literally the next friggn day there were 3 up for 500k-ish each -_-
