  1. Am a long time on and off player of Star Wars the Old Republic, and big fan of Star Wars. One thing that I think would be really cool would be if there could be a physical book with all the lore type codex entries from the game, as I think it would be cool to have a complete copy of all the lore in one place, as I think this game has added tons to the world of the "old republic".
  2. Hi, I am a long time SWTOR player whose main area of interest within the game has been around the eight class stories, as I really enjoy star wars and the lore that came with KOTOR and also what they have now created with SWTOR. Usually when I play I do so solo however this time I have come back predominantly because a friend has got into SWTOR so I am doing an Operative, and he is doing a Sith Assassin. What I have noticed however both from the previous times I’ve been back after the level sync is how easy the game has become. Now I am very much a fan of the streamlined level experience and that characters can progress through a story by just doing the planet story arc and personal story arc, and I also really like the fact that players no matter the level can be rewarded no matter whether they are lvl 70 doing Korriban heroics or even just level 45 starting Nar Shadaa in their story. I think the choice of how to approach the game has been really improved by level sync. One problem however is the game has become so easy it feels like I am playing on god mode and cannot die. As someone who has played more or less from the beginning it still feels strange to me when I solo the Heroics without really breaking a sweat, I remember when I used to have to hang around shouting “LFM 1H 1DPS Heroic 4” so that I could do them. The reason I want to see what others think however and the reason I am concerned that the game has become too easy is because myself and my friend have been doing the flashpoints in their now veteran mode duo with only dying once on the last boss of Hammer Station. I’m fairly certain veteran mode is meant for four players but my friend and myself while following our story have done The Black Talon, Hammer Station and Athiss just the two of us with our companions in heal mode, and I think there must be something wrong with that? I mean to be honest the speed and ease with which we have done the flashpoints together makes them easier than the old Heroic 2’s.
  3. I have played this game on and off since launch, I have always had a passion for star wars since I first watched the original trilogy as a kid, and I have also been a passionate gamer since I got my first console the PS2. I have mainly been interested primarily in the class stories and lore within SWTOR, and am a big fan of the old republic period in general. I very much enjoyed KOTOR 1 and 2 counting them as one of my favorite game series. Before engaging in SWTOR I had never previously played a single MMO, I have primarily engaged with SWTOR as a solo experience, while taking full advantage of the ability to group for story content such as Flashpoints and operations. I have just recently returned and understand they have implemented a new gearing system which relies heavily on RNG, I previously did not enjoy the gearing system finding it too grindy but did enjoy partaking in the higher end content of which end game gear was an important feature. Yet from what I understand all SM operations now can be done with a level buff at 50 and all gear is buffed like PVP. As I have only ever been interested in story and only ever did SM operations, is there any point in higher tier gear for me?
  4. Thank you all for your responses. Used a referral link quickly this morning so I could post, so hope to use the small time I have to make a quick go of it and will see how it pans out. Should be nice too see how the chapters are story wise, as have played exhaustively the class stories
  5. I am a long term player of Swtor, having been an on and off subscriber since launch. I was very much looking forward to Knights of the Eternal Throne. My primary reason for playing Swtor is my enjoyment of the Star Wars universe and the stories within it, and was extremely pleased with Biowares redirection towards story oriented gameplay. My most enjoyable experiences predominantly are within the rich story games previously created by Bioware such as Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect Trilogy and Dragon Age Origins, however Swtor does have interesting lore regarding the old republic era. However I have been put off returning due to the noticeable fallout with the new expansion, I understand they have implemented a new system for gearing that is dominated by RNG. I would be grateful to know whether or not this new system inhibits my ability to experience the story oriented content of this new expansion, and whether the streamlined class stories are still in place? For I find grinding for gear etc. to be a dull experience.
  6. I propose that the player should have the capability to always have a chat window open for their respective fleet, even if they are not currently on the fleet. I think this would be a good idea because the fleet is the chosen hub by which operations and other group content is often formed. I personally feel it would be much more efficient if players could go to other planets while also retaining the ability to engage in fleet activities. What are your thoughts?
  7. I propose that the player should be provided the function to monitor multiple general chat's at the same time. For instance when I am playing on Tatooine, completing heroic 2's I would find it useful to be able to also monitor for example fleet chat, so that I can keep an eye out for any ops that may be forming. This is one example as to why I would like such a feature. Would be interesting to see others thoughts on the matter?
  8. This in my eyes is a rather small change with a far reaching affect. For myself I personally find the endless slog for commendations to spend on lvl 50-55 gear to be quite repetitive and boring, id personally rather just do a few missions get the gear and then start enjoying the lore and story from all the operations and high level content. I know that a lot of people might be in objection to the idea of being able to transfer our hard earned commendations across our characters because some may argue that it takes the reward out of the missions post 50. However I digress that the biggest reward in my eyes would as I said up to be experiencing the story and lore of the high level content which takes quite a long time to access because of the grind for gear. Also being able to transfer doesn't mean that it strips the need to earn commendations it just makes it much easier to gear up alts with the spare commendations lying around on main characters. ultimately id like to see what others think about the idea and if you are for or against.
  9. I don't know about other people, but I can safely say that I am a big fan of swtor's legacy system. I think it has the ability to add great depth and replayability behind the game, and also the characters of which we create. I think that my most favoured aspect of the legacy, is that it gives me the opportunity to create my own backstory and link all my characters together. However despite all that the legacy does, I still believe that much can be added to improve upon what is already a very well thought out idea. 1. first and foremost, I really want to see the option to write a brief backstory behind our characters and how they come into the legacy of our specific characters. I know this sounds like a pretty pointless idea, but I think that it is something that avid RP players like myself, can take great advantage of, both with making our characters interesting, and also unique in their own right. 2. this is probably one of my more extreme ideas, which a lot of players will probably take great dislike too. But I think if possible, it would be extremely fun to have the option to have a character from your legacy acting as the companion of the character being played. I know that such a facility could be a nightmare when taking into consideration the fairness of the game, and also the items of the character companion in question. but I think such issues could be dealt with by making it so that when a character is being used as a companion, it has its gear scaled down too the level of the main character, or there could instead be a default armour, given to the classes which scales up with the level of the character. These two things are something I would be extremely pleased with, if added as features to the game, but I do accept that possibly others may not take to them. Finally I also would like to add, that I would love the option to reset my characters story, so that when complete I can go through it again, taking in all of the wonderful story line without having to worry about levelling and having correct gear and so on.
  10. I am just making this thread because i don't think there should be a cap of 2000 warzone commendations max.
  11. I am creating this thread becuase i dont think it is right for player to have to wait for twenty minutes just to use one abilitie, if you agree with me please say so because i would really like to just use my legacy abilitie on a normal cooldown.
