  1. Do you plan on changing the way sage (Seer/healing) resource management works? I understand that you like where they are at the moment, but you also mentioned that the skill cap is too high for your comfort. I feel that this has alot to do with how the resources are managed. In pvp the current system is not really viable, I have had discussions with other players and we have decided that the most effective way to manage our resources is to watch the res timer and when it is close to opening, we type /stuck to kill ourselves - this is not right....while it is effective timing your deaths should not be how resource management works.
  2. First, what "transedance" spell for regen are you speaking of. the only transendence spell I know is the sent group sprint. And yes, the options available are "fine" and I do great in pvp. But our regen mechanics are still a joke. at BASE levels I regen 1.3% of my pool per second. A smugg healer will regen 5% of their resource per second. On top of that they have like 3 (?) abilities to actively regen their resources. compared to my 1 ability that damages for 2800 HP for 48 force. I understand that we have deep pools, but that is why we have a lower base regen rate. completely understandable, and yea maybe they should have more ways to regen then us, But the difference right now is bananas. Thank you for the /stuck tip that should work much better than anything I am currently doing. I really hope BW reads this and notices how laughable it is that my team is going to be calling when the doors are about to open so that I type /stuck because I have no legitimate form of pvp regen.
  3. According to what the tool tips are, it is correct. However; if you are able to consistently keep 3 stacks up, the return overtime is pretty significant. Im gonna have some discussion with the smugg pvp healers I play with, and do some comparisons on regen and post my thoughts. But seriously. no one has any input on how they effectively manage their sage healer resources?
  4. I feel as this is not very reliable as a healer. 3 quick disturbance casts @ 28 force per = 84 force @ 3 stacks that is 30% higher force regen for 10 seconds (8 fps base) = 10.4 fps for 10 seconds. This is 104 force gained after 84 force lost. a total net of 20 force. This is not viable unless you are get 1 disturbance off before every 10s buff falls. This is great for dps, and I wish there was something similar to this with a healing skill, but as a healer, its not viable to be casting disturbance that often.
  5. Actually, as depressing as that is, I actually do watch the door timers, and when it is getting close to release, if I am low on force, ill tap while ppl dps me so I can re spawn full. It is really sad that that is the best way to manage resources. I do agree that managing your resources should be a major part of playing a healer, but as it stands currently for sages/sorcs , resource management is at pathetic state
  6. Well, with the recent interview with massively @ It mentions that they like where sages/sorcs are at. I have been waiting, hoping for a legitimate way to manage resources, but that doesnt seem to be coming. Ive been trying different rotations, ussually tapping 3 times then healing trance on myself to counter the hp lost. Which is a positive gain of ~100 force. Still not ideal for pvp for obvious reasons. But I would just like to know how others are managing their force while healing. I think we have the toughest version of resource management and I really wish it would be looked at.
  7. Many people have quit healing in pvp or playing pvp in general. TTK has been a big issue with this and your team has mentioned that we basically need to get more expertise and it will balance out. However I have 1225 expertise and I still get crit for 7k. I dont think I need to quote sage healing numbers to show that out healing this is not an option. Has your team taken a step back and are re-evaluating healing and TTK in WZ's?
  8. Unless there was some extreme lag, there is no way he casted before i went LoS. 1) I was pulled into the middle of the pillar, not clipping the edge, but the shot came through the pillar, we were on exact opposite sides. 2) I had almost finished a 2.3 second cast. If I had been standing still for 2 seconds, I cant see how there was a delay in his cast for that long and its not an issue. Right now its w,e But when rated WZ's come out and **** like this is deciding matches? Then yea its going to be frustrating. Beat around it all you want the fact is if this stuff is happening they need to find a way to smooth it out, not us find a way to live with it and make excuses for it.
  9. As a sage, the only way to survive and get some heals off is to pillar hump. But like I said, I have been sure to be LoS well before these things have even be casted. I have been alot more understand when I sprint behind a pillar and as a stop to heal I get pulled, that is just a timing thing. The scenarios that are frustrating is when it feels like it just doesnt register.
  10. There have been several times that I have been pillar humping to LoS players and the LoS just doesnt register. One example is when I was LoS I casted my 2.3 second heal (Deliverance) and a BH pulled me right before it went off, i didnt go to him because there was a pillar in the way, instead I just flew into the wall infront of me, but it interupted my heal. Another personal example - I was attempting to kite a maurader, I sprtnted to behind a pillar, was there for almost 2 full seconds he stopped running and used his execute throw which crit me for 4.2 and killed me (lol 19% damage reduction from expertise anyone?), but I was clearly LoS and it had no affect, no it wasnt that he casted the throw, then I went LoS and it hit me. My latency is typically around 60ms, so Im not chalking it up to lag issues. I know these are just my personal experiences, there are many more examples that I could give. But I have also heard these complaints from many of the people I play with. LoS is just not registering properly.
  11. Just wanted to share a suggestion I put in the box. I feel it adds a new layer of gameplay to our class. Check it out. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4236053&posted=1#post4236053 Hope to hear some feed back.
  12. Just wanted share with the Sage community a suggestion I made and see what they think of it. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4236053&posted=1#post4236053 It is over in the suggestion forums, but I think its a gooder!
  13. I veiw it more as an outlet for people to put in there suggestions, just because it is there, doesnt mean any valuable information is actually brought to the development team. I really hope they do though, I think suggestions from the community is the number one way to help a game grow, why not give the players the design and play styles that they want?
  14. Thats encouraging. I just have seen an issues posted time and time again with suggestion without seeing confirmation or acknowledgement there is issues. Unless it is Bug reports or questioning if something is working as intended
  15. First off...Does bioware even check these forums? I have been following the dev tracker and reading the Q&A's but I dont recall ever seeing any conversations about suggestions. Anyway My suggestions are for sages. I think they would make them a lot of fun to play. -First, either scrap or make the force regen rate reduction on Noble sacrifice alot harsher. Then add an increased force regen rate when force armor is applied to self. When this shield is broken by damage, it resotres x% of force. -Add a secondary resource "Force power" Make it something like 5 combo points, as you use specific force abilities it generates more Force power, Each combo point can increase the potency of specific skills by say 2/4/6/8/10% One ability would be to increase the potency of single target heals or, Increase Damage absorbed by force shield Increase force regen increase AoE healing potency Obviously our base line AoE healing would need to be nerfed, so that the full 10% Force Power would bring it in line with what it currently is. This would make us viable in differant situations and enforce those decisions. When should I be using force regen? When might I need to have higher single target heals for burst damage? These could very easily be applied to Damage sorcs too, I jsut think that many classes have some form of secondary resource, not to make everyone the same, but so there is further depth into the play style of every class. Any thoughts, criticism, or input?
  16. I tried the current BM gloves. :S
  17. Darthbluginal

    Possible?

Is it possible to obtain any armoring with expertise on it to use on a Orange belt? All of the pvp pieces now have their armoring bound to that specific piece type. I bought gloves and learned that I wasted my money the hard way. Anyone know? P.S Make healing fun again. We cant all be ops.
  18. Sorcs are candy for mauraders. Dont initiate with leap
  19. lol if you think healing is overpowered...........try killing a healer in any other mmo. This is by far the weakest healers have been in my 8 years of pvp throughout several games. The only thing that is OP is a specific combo of a tank healer. It makes it very difficult to kill a healer, but without it, its a joke to kill one. But I wouldnt dare say re balance that aspect, for I get flamed for mentioning it.
  20. I know what you mean. I have tried to start many conversations about possible changes. I have tried putting my input and encourage others to put their input aswell. I ussually just get told to get better and that everything is fine. As a Sage, with Full BM and a couple War hero pieces I have 16.2k HP (Unbuffed), 1200+ Expertise and I know I have the skill and experience. I still get crit for 7k..with 19% dmg reduction... thats =ridiculous. If more than one person targets you and uses there burst abilities, it is very easy to die in 2-3 GCDs But apparently all I need to do is L2P
  21. You have made some compelling arguments and I now see why Guard does not need to be rebalanced with personal defensive abilities.
  22. Did you read my post at all? Or just see the word heal and spam. I said healing is fine. I said guard is imbalanced. Read.
  23. I have 18.65% Damage reduction from expertise. And 16k HP. I get hit by mauraders for 6.9k. There is no way in hell that you can not only out heal that, but also be able to put out enough dmg to kill them. This is as a sage. People get so defensive as soon as anyone brings up there class. All I am saying is the difference between having guard and not having guard is game changing. 1 ability should not be that game changing. I dont care if it isnt reduced, but something needs to happen so that 1 ability is not in such high demand. You guys are taking this so personally. Pre 1.2 I was open to healing nerfs. Look at this **** objectively. Best example I have seen is If all damage was reduced by 30% and as a healer I could buff 1 persons damage by 50%, and it was extremely difficult and required a lot of skill coordination and CC for you to kill 1 target without it, but easy for you to kill a target with it, does it make sense for it to be that powerful/game changing/ and in high demand? It just doesnt make sense from a balancing perspective. Look, this ability is a positive effect for me, I dont play DPS anymore, they are normally the ones raging about this. But even with this being awesome for me, I can see objectively that it is the biggest factor in balancing PVP
  24. Post 1.2 my overall healing in a WZ is down by about 30%. I only mentioned reducing 1 aspect of gaurd by 20% including taunts, your overall protection would be affected by about 10%. I would love to hear how useless you think healers all are now and how pointless it is to play one because of our changes
  25. You really think changin guard from 50% to 30% makes it useless? There have been tons and tons of complaints about how OP it is to have Guarded healers. That was the main reason healers got nerfed. I specifically said that this game should be a team game, but 1 class should not completely rely on another class. You are taking this way too personally. Take a step back and look at it objectively. a 30% consistent guard + taunts is very useful. And I need to think before posting?
