I'm with the other pvp'ers. I'd even go a step further than anyone is willing to go and say that movement takes more skill than hitting the right key every 1.5 secs.
Movement like strafing and getting to someone's back when they're trying to prevent you from doing so and trying to get to yours makes for some really great fights. If you're melee, you should be trying to get to someone's back. If you are a kiter, get to their back and keep going. All you need is 1m away from their melee range and you are good. Melee played correctly is harder than kiting. I play everything and find kiting to be relaxing in comparison to pure melee.
Now with no collision detection, I see alot of bad movement. I see ppl that dont use their straf key. They go straight, turn 180, straight, turn 180. They're playing defensive. If you're a melee and fighting another melee and are only trying to stop another player from getting to your back (defense), you're the less skilled player.
I loved warhammer where they had collision detection. Especially if both are slowed, because it becomes a precision fight and the best will slide behind the other. If they mouse turn each time you did this, you know you outskilled them.
But ppl like the OP dont want a skilled game ie I'm sure they are really happy about autoface.
Hey I jsut had a thought. I wonder if they could make a collision detection game that would somehow prevent the person from mouse turing while standing still. What i mean is slowing him down. Like if you are still and mouse turn, you turn slowly. That would make for a skilled movement game =D
