There is no need to compare to wow. Wow is a monster and if swtor reaches even one fifth of the popularity they should feel successful.

Now you have to decide. You either compare the two games or not. You can't say wow is more complete because it is old and on the other hand compare the rage in the forums! A 7 year old have comes with the natural tired customer base which has little patience. And you say it that since it happens in an old game, that will happen in a new one. Well no.

I see the same number of "I am unsubing" posts with "Thank you BW" or "I am not unsubing" posts. You obviously only concerned about the former. I am concerned about both. I find both of these trash. But I find some very interesting posts that complain and people that are harassing the author. And believe me, your posts now do not help BW at any way. If they are not ready to solve it, no complain nor praises will make them do it faster. The reasoning of the complains are the lack of some really serious features, the poor support and the lack of tools to help supporting and the poor prioritization of issues.

And if BW did not rush to release this there wouldn't be some many issues. I know this is the only window they had since wow is getting people tired, Diablo 3 is not released yet and same for GW2. The real rest for this game is what will happen when wow realeases new content or expansion or when diablo3 comes. And only good quality games can survive in this. If they keep it that way they will not survive.

The developers would never answer to the ability delay problem if there weren't people that worked for them to prove it. And imagine if these people where dishearten by fanboys that went on harassing the OP back then... And your example once more is not appropriate. Gaming companies would never change something if you 'take them away and tell them so". Pressure is needed and history shows that from other games as well. If they respected their customers, people would not have to come in their forum and complain. At least for such fundamental problems. Of course there are people that complain just to complain. And of course there are people that tries to discredit valid concerns with no reason. We are talking about the mature people here.

Example is poor but the official forum is not "hanging around in front". People use the official forums to complain, suggest etc. And of course if you liked the meal you do not go and harass people that might be "in front and tell incoming customers...", right? You are satisfied and you go home. You do not become the bouncer.

What would you care anyway? Your sub says that you do not pass much time in here. Of course you would want that little time to see quality posts. Well, as you may think that complaining is not your opinion of quality posts, the same could be said for posts the brown nose or posts that harass others or posts that praise the company. In my opinion the most well written posts in here are from people that are actually complaining.

Very good, OP. Fully agree. I would only add that when companions return from a mission, the window the pops up closes all current opened windows or displays itself no matter what (when you are about to slay the huttball carrier :@ )

It had a negative tone, yes. The reason is that people cannot state an opinion in here. And I really think that saying UI sucks since it lacks blah blah blah is constructive enough. One states that an important feature is missing. I know, "important" is objective but this is exactly the reason why others should NOT harass the person who has complaints. How do you feel this game will ever be better? By saying "the game is perfect" and ignoring the problem or by strongly indicating the problem? And why do you guys take each problem as its own and say "see? none is game breaking"? In my eyes these problems add up. IF I have annoyances all the time in the game I become less patient in general. - Why should I have to stick my eye in the monitor to see if my ability is ready to be used? - Why instead of typing an item or shift Clicking it and search it at AH, do I have to search it through a series of combo boxes and THEN sort it or browse the pages? - Why in the vendors when I select to show only the usable items, I still see the items that are more than my level, therefore NOT usable by me? These three are little problems that have not stopped me for playing. And I wrote only three. Now, each one of these may sound like nothing to you but they add up. These made my game life harder for no reason. This make me less patient for more serious problems. And if they do not fix big problems nor small ones, what do they want? To have people keep paying and paying? How this is normal?

I agree it might not be THAT big deal. But instead of focusing of every problem individually, can you see the big picture here? These problems seem to add up. The loading screen flashing and the difficulty to see when an ability CD is over or about to be over, the AA implementation are very annoying. They fix one thing and break 3. This is not good.

Bobtheret or whatever her name is, made an insulting trolling post and the kids run to embrace it... As the BW representative said, "game sucks" is not enough and some suggestions are needed. I think the OP did that. He wants UI improvements by either addons or implementing the most popular. He wants armor looks diversity and he suggests a way to compensate customers for the massive amounts of bugs or inconveniences from a multimillion brand new game. Now what people want? To tell EXACTLY what they should do? To write the code for them or submit an analysis? And do not forget... There are so many problems now that people have not yet even touched the class balance problems! Of course the lack of combat logs and parses conveniently enough prevents it...

The game might not be broken but it is broken enough that they should not charge people yet. They do not respect the people that bought the game. If they did, they would have given 1-2 more months of free game just to fix the problems. Not new content for free. BUT fix the problems that should not have been there from launch.

First things first. Let them fix the action delay and then ask for more. At the moment gameplay reminds me of diablo2 Chain Lightning Sorc which was animated based... When you had to invest in melee attack speed to ... speed the animation and have results. At least back then you could improve the experience somehow
