  1. I read an interview of him a while ago (around Ep1) that he was sick of people recognizing him only as Wedge. He's an accomplished stage and TV actor and being universally known as Wedge Antilles drives him crazy.
  2. I'm guessing this is in response to ESO welcome back week.
  3. I do. They added more servers to alleviate the long wait times. Unfortunately the added servers made the quick decline in population worse.
  4. No. I wouldn't even have given it a second of thought. I have only played two MMOs, this and LOTRO. Reason why should be pretty obvious.
  5. Personally I think both of those are $100 overpriced.
  6. I'd go for this 280x and save some money to get an ssd or buy more ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131570&cm_re=280x-_-14-131-570-_-Product
  7. It's actually pretty confusing. And really a very dumb thing to do by Intel imo. i3s and i7s have hyperthreading but i5's don't. But there are laptop i5s that have hyperthreading thus making it all more confusing.
  8. If you're anywhere close to microcenter they have combo deals that would save ton of money you can put towards ram or video card. http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx
  9. If you're not wary of craigslist you could easily build a very capable gaming computer for $500. This is more true if you live in a huge city like NY or LA due to high competition selling used parts.
  10. I dunno, based on this movie screenshot of Darth Maul the size look about the same. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TgnbSxFS8go/T53znDIr0SI/AAAAAAAAEps/LoO1_J3ii2M/s1600/2Maul%282%29.jpg
  11. I had a feeling they would do that. Oh well, adds to the challenge
  12. During the first few months of the game I and some others were able to cross from Imp area to Repub area in Nar Shadaa. Has anyone been able to do this recently? At work at the moment so can't test it but I'm going to try again tonight, hopefully I remember the way
  13. I have just re-subbed after two years of absence but have recently had a Star Wars itch. I was a beta-tester and founder and played until just prior to the first server merge. I have to say that this is very surprising and disappointing. If the biggest SWTOR and Bioware white knight quit broken and disappointed then it probably does not bode well.
  14. I nominate this is the most constructive post
  15. That's not going to change much. All will happen is light servers' pops will just move to few select servers. So instead of one very heavy server you'll have a few more. The light servers will just empty out.
  16. It's been like that even before D3, what miracle would all of a sudden change that?
  17. I heard Radiance gating has been removed, maybe it's possible again?
  18. Trollshaws without trolls? Wow that's just sad. I remember when Turbine nerfed the Old Forest. That was one of the reasons I quit (and the fact that MOM was nothing but a heaping pile of poorly disguised grind). The fun of the Old Forest was getting hopelessly lost while being chased by a bear and aggroing half the forest
  19. Of course it never captured the feel of the movies, LOTRO is based off the books. And ya, LOTRO sold over a million, Turbine bragged about it as often as they could during release. I was also in closed beta. Started out as a weekend stress tester then got invited to Beta 2. Can't really remember now but I think Meneldor was one of the closed beta servers. The one big thing I remember during closed beta was the sudden repair bill increase so close to release. Every heavy armor wearer were screaming murder at Turbine. And of course the dragons in Rivendell and giant spider in the Shire during end of beta. Good fun. As far as LOTRO and SWTOR, LOTRO has SWTOR beat when it comes to environment and the feeling of being in the universe. You can read the books then get in the game and it so much like how the books describe the locations. The Shire specially is amazingly close to how I imagined it from the books. Add the changing weather, day and night cycles, and the nearly seamless world (you can run from the Shire to Rivendell without hitting a loading screen - did it first at lvl 17. Trying to avoid the trolls in Trollshaws at night is still one of the most exciting experiences I've had in an MMO) and you get an incredibly immersive world. With SWTOR I felt like that for the first few days. But the more planets I visited the more it became obvious that everything was static. I think Alderaan was the planet that I first started to lose the the early feeling I had.
  20. This wouldn't be an issue if a CM mod just post a sticky either confirming if there's an exit survey email or not.
  21. I find it ironic that a whine post is asking for the whining to stop.
  22. I don't think I've been in a forum with more pedants than this one.
  23. Whining about the whining. So original.
  24. Well it doesn't work the way you look at it doesn't it.
  25. All I've read is that the initial free transfers would be "targeted". What the target is they haven't said. Which servers will be allowed to transfer out of and which servers to transfer to has not been announced.
