  1. Not quite exactly :/ What is your mainstat at? Full DG gear should have you a lot higher on those parses listed. Maybe RNG kept the numbers low, but other than that they should be at the very least a little higher. Writhing Horror kind of caught my attention on that seeing as its generally a patchwerk style fight with a good AoE phase.
  2. Deva, hes not saying that if you don't use Rapid Shots then you're bad. You can still pull decent numbers without ever having to use it, however, your optimal DPS does require some sort of Rapid Shot weaving. Also about the Tracer Missile x3 argument. What else will you use instead? I know there are times that everything is on cooldown and I'm getting terrible luck with Barrage procs. I'm stuck using Tracer Missile quite a bit. Standing around doing nothing will help my heat lower, but it won't keep my DPS going. DPS = Damage/Time. The less damage you're throwing out, the less DPS you will do. Rapid Shots hits for quite a bit, but if you're forced to use it then that means you've pushed your heat up with a burst of damage that is it required to. There is some give and take and a fine line between managing heat with Rapid Shots and ruining heat management and then relying on Rapid Shots. If not done properly, your DPS won't be soaring. I will still add that Rapid Shots, if used appropriately, is a DPS increase over what you are doing. Edit: To upload a parse, make sure you have combat logging turned on. When it is, go to the Operations Target Dummy and DPS for ~5min. When you're done, go to TORParse.com and upload that log. It is found in your documents under SWTOR.

  4. I honestly don't think we will see much of a change than we do now. The only changes will be to people who are simming at 0 accuracy or below the amount that is necessary. Everything should sim within the same values as they did before. Overall DPS may slightly lower on each (if that).
  5. Just have him set the values of tech accuracy to be identical to Mainhand accuracy. I can understand it not showing any sort of misses because with 0 accuracy your tech is still 100% hit chance in the sim. Make it 99.45% (or whatever your ranged will be) and that should give your results.
  6. If any of those pieces are without crit rating (and have low endurance, high power), then those would be the pieces you use. I am using medtech implants, belt and wrists for my 172 BiS setup.
  7. There has already been a TON of relic discussion by Odawg, Keren and myself (with a few others too) within my guide. I think just the most recent 2 pages are purely relic discussion. I could just copy and paste text here for ease but I'm making dinner.
  8. Deleted. Not worth the effort to respond. Most things were summed up here: Don't use Explosive Dart as a 'filler'. That is what Tracer Missile is for. I don't even know why Rocket Punch was even in there...? Use HSM on cooldown. Don't miss a Barrage proc. That is what the queuing system is for. Use Electro Net. Its amazing damage and should never be ignored. Use Rapid Shots. It does decent enough damage to not be a DPS loss- but gains from other areas is what keeps the numbers up. Listen to other people- knowledge is a group effort- you don't know everything. Old 4PC isn't worth it with new 2pc/2pc. You can't go new 4PC, provides no DPS increase over 2pc/2pc, but if 2/2 is changed I will most likely just stick with the new 4pc and mess around with it, as it isn't a DPS loss compared to the old version. Don't gear Crit. Its a fun idea to mess around with it on a sim just to experiment, but RNG is a *****. Power provides better sustained DPS, and isn't luck based. Its static.
  9. Yupp, but not like it does in PvP. It stacks to 5 and then stops on anything inside of an instance/operation. Its still great for PvE though!
  10. Heat Management shouldn't be based around Railshot. If you're not using Rapid Shots you are doing it wrong. The 2pc bonuses do stack, but thats just to hold you off until you can get 4pc. Yes, the old 4pc would be preferred but if you resort to using that instead of the new gear then you are going to lose too much aim for the old 4pc to make up for it. Its just making a 10 heat ability cost 2. Thats not a huge difference. You can easily counter that with rapid shots. Not only that, but its less heat than Tracer Missile... you use Tracer Missile without complaints, why can't you use an ability that crits higher and costs less? Its clear you aren't using Rapid Shots as optimally as possible seeing as you even toko Electro Net out of your rotation (not sure why Explosive Dart is in it unless you're moving). 1 Hour of testing something doesn't produce enough results to formulate a valid opinion. -Also I will add that any Alacrity extra is bad. Even if you stacked Alacrity to have Tracer Missile casting at .5s, it would be an astronomical DPS loss. Why? Because your heat management will be horrible. You'll have a lot more downtime. Throwing out 5 tracers in 2.5sec isn't better than what we do now because you'll still have to wait since your heat dissipation will not even be close to your heat spent.

  12. I would like to add that there are a number of issues our 16man is experiencing. Our first night using it, no one could see me appear on the logs. I was the leader int he TORParse group. Also, there are generally 2-3 people who won't actively appear with everyone else. It seemed to resolve itself at the end of the night (lastnight) but for at least the first 2 hours there were issues. I do really like this though. Much thanks for this.
  13. Anyone have issues with that? It keeps giving me the "swtor is down for maintenance" error that appears when the site is down. Its been like this for days now, so I'm assure its something somewhat broken. Oh well, nothing really productive happens there anyways.
  14. /signed My signature is more so, "Please make content harder- so derps can be seen a lot easier, giving us the ability to weed out those we are carrying while also having content that provides an actual challenge and isn't cleared within 2.5 hours the 2nd time seeing it." My background experience started back in Vanilla with World 3rd Naxx40 clear. After many years of hardcore raiding with some casual inbetweens, I can easily say that SWTOR's content is extremely lacking. Now, that doesn't mean that the content itself is bad- because the fights are quite enjoyable- but from a hardcore standpoint the fights are overly simplistic and provide no real challenge other than logging on and doing it. Actually, I'd say the only challenge this game has to offer is the fact that tier pieces aren't itemized properly and give us stats we don't want- so we have to take extra effort to grab new mods/enhancements to make up for random alacrity on DPS gear.
  15. Movement won't increase the damage of net like it would if used in PvP on players.
  16. Close, but not too specific. Remember, a lot of this is while moving into position- which you can figure out how to do. Tracer --> HSM --> TSO PS Fusion Missile --> Unload --> Tracer --> Unload --> Net --> HSM/Tracer --> Priority System (Generally railshot at this point) Use Unload for EVERY barrage. Use 2sec queue with Unload pressed during every Tracer to hit the barrages. HSM on CD. Use FM with TSO. Boom. 3k dps.
  17. Quick question: How would all of you rate the difficulty of 8man for this tier release? I have only ever done 16man (except for some odd occasions) so I can't honestly answer myself for this one. From what I could tell, both 8 and 16 seem to be a lot easier in comparison to the HM TFB (50) counterparts.

  19. They don't put a lot of thought in: 1) Stat Optimization on pieces. Did you see some of the Alacrity on Eliminator's gear? 2) Unique Set bonuses for different ACs. 3) Most of everything PvE related.

  21. What is your current power at? I know I'm at ~1400 bonus damage due to having over 1300 power buffed.
  22. If you're referring to Arsenal, that cap has definitely changed. The value on crit has GREATLY diminished, so I am personally going full Power. If you want to hit 30% crit, you will most likely have to ignore all other secondaries.
  23. Yeah... a nerf for this is unnecessary. I've pugged this more than not, and I have yet to get a group that didn't finish it. Well, I had one group that I left but thats because the tank was in Columi gear with Accuracy augments in every piece- had 23k health and would die on trash. Now, aside from that I have just tore through this content. Its not challenging so nerfing it just because one person finds it hard isn't a good idea.
  24. I didn't mean now, but just as an after thought xD I don't care either way since we're not really too much into actual HM Progression unless it was as challenging as the launch of TFB. It was more so for those who are competing for it.
