Thank you for the break down of your fight. I have only really seen once sniper stream arenas so I am anxious to see how they play out myself.

Did you consider any priority in setting your burst up? Meaning, did you use your Probe,CG, and Dart on a specific AC(tanks or healers or dps)? Or did you just decide on any two names before the match and try your method out as the situation presented itself? I'm assuming most of the time it was pre-planned and then turned situational but figured I'd try and ask what you found worked best for you just for discussion purposes. I am unable to get on the PTS at this time and even if I could, I wouldn't have any teammates as they aren't about to download the PTS. Thanks in advance. Edit: Basically just curious of how you decided your "two targets" and what your thoughts were behind selecting those two unless there was none and it was purely a situational decision. Big thanks for doing some testing and reporting back to the Snipers as well. I greatly appreciate it myself.

Very nicely said and I agree. That's kind of why I like to look around at servers besides my own. Don't get me wrong, I think POT5 has a lot of great players and good people but I don't know if I am having as much fun as I could there when I have to put up with constant belittling of people and people wishing death upon others just because they broke a CC or something. I am of the firm belief that I would rather play in a fun environment, even if not as competitive, with a good/strong community rather than on a server where everyone is "the best". I do get the feeling that this server has a better community overall, but I could be wrong and that is why I wanted to check on the forums. I realize not all come to the forums but I've gotten nice responses here and a PM or two. I originally asked about faction balance simply because I have 1 of every IMP toon except a merc and thought a change of faction and server would be a nice way to spice it up. I wasn't sold on transferring just yet, not until I got over here and saw for myself and that may be the route I end up going. Again, thanks for the responses back from you all on this server. It seems like a really nice place overall, with the exception of a few I'm sure

Instead of opening a new thread...what about faction balance? I get that people are claiming dedicated or talented PvP players have been drained but curious about faction and how Warzones typically go. Where I am currently, half your team may just up and quit within 20 secs if they are A)Losing or B)If they aren't going to be carried by a premade to victory. Thanks.

Any one else have any further insight or opinions on this? I have been unable to download the PTS and was curious of what other snipers thought about their prospects in arena. I see many claiming they won't work and a few who claim that they will. I love the Agent class and do intend to play my sniper. I could heal on my operative, I guess, but don't really want to have to revert back to those days. I have many alts at 55 but none I enjoy as much as my agent classes and for that reason I do not plan on putting much time into the alts at this time. I know the player makes a difference and it's not just the class, but I'm ignoring that logic for this posts sake. I'm just looking for more opinions from those with experience on the PTS and what their thoughts are on it. I'm not trying to debate the issue but merely hear more from the sniper community. Thanks.

Also good advice! Over a year later, I am still modifying my UI and some keybinds from time to time. Not as often as I used to back when I first began using them but because I have rolled many alts, I've adjusted to "static" abilities and placement on my UI for better management overall. For example, I try to keep my CC Breaker keybound to the same stroke and preferably the same location on my UI throughout all of my toons. Some abilites you'll be able to do this with and it will begin to get easier. Great concept here as well!

You may just have to dive in with keybinds and expect to tweak them as you move forward. If you give yourself no choice, keybind a lot of abilities and then go out into the world, I bet you will pick up on them within a few hours. Within a few days, it will be second nature. Good luck to you!

Personally, love the cover mechanic. It's great for PvP therefore I would never remove it but there are some abilities that require it and some that don't which makes me like whaaaa? Overall, it's one of my favorite perks to any class in the game.

What you say makes a lot of sense and is a very well written response to my singled out statement. However, what I meant was in regards to a game and in regards to fictional rewards. The OP did not maliciously select NEED because he/she was being selfish. He/she did it simply based on unwritten rules of an MMO and was called out on it by other players. My statements merely were backing his/her original action as not being considered selfish and was responding to his/her original post and the question they posed. The words used in selecting an item, NEED/GREED, both depict selfish acts.

I, personally, would not change the mechanic. I enjoy it and it doesn't feel awkward or clunky to me whatsoever. The only thing I would do with it, is tweak the knock-back ability tied to it. I don't understand how taking cover for that is a necessity but I can manage. This goes along the same lines as what you are describing but it's the only thing "clunky" to me in regards to the cover mechanic. EDIT: PvP POV

While some are calling it selfish, I fail to see how it is so. Granted, it is purely cosmetic and it's not an item you "need" but in a sense you do NEED it to max out rep. Most, if not all, need this so why didn't they need on it as well? I don't see how 4 people, who all need an item and rolling greed, makes any difference than 4 people who need an item rolling "need". Sounds like they were mad at themselves for not going with their gut instinct and rolling NEED. I get that it wasn't specified beforehand but I'd have assumed it was a NEED item since you all obviously did need it. It's like what, 268 rep points or something? Was it a big deal? I don't think so, it's not like it was a chest piece you could not use. It was freakin rep points that EVERYONE in the group NEEDED. I normally wait out the other players to see what they do on items such as this to avoid the situation you got yourself in last night. You're etiquette and protocol are fine, you just ran into a unique situation where some people did not see it that way.

I'd like to see the respec option available up until the start of the game. Not simply disable it once in a queue for PvP. Most people realize it was abused but from my understanding it was mostly abused in VS or after nodes were secured, for example. The VS map is the only one with "rounds" to it as well, making it easier to perform a respec. Why not disable it after the start of the WZ? Why disable it simply because you are in a Queue ? I'm all for the disabling of it after the start of a game but do not think it should be disabled before that time.

You have a nice standard for the way you do your runs. As someone who hasn't raided or done anything with people like our OP here in a long time, what you suggested is how every non-guild run I've ever been on was done. Normally the layout for loot is stated at the beginning before an initial pull however I am not certain this was done before the OPs run. Doesn't sound like it but then again I am unable to follow his rant well either.
