  1. How long have you been playing Swtor? A 'not forgotten about it' from devs means 'no ressources to do stuff, ask me again in a year or so' There is no 'just because they dont say anthing'. Thats not how they operate. They would advertise the hell out of new operations and stuff. But they dont, all they do is scaling up old content. No new endgame content is the only logical conclusion.
  2. I dont understand it either and somehow i doubt they thought this through. In theory, everything has to be effected by the time gap. Take fleets for example. The republic and empire have fallen, so the old meeting place should be gone. Or at least changed significantly after ten years in carbonite. Do we get something new, just for players with KotFE? What about all those other guys who are ten years behind in a completely different galaxy? Or are we supposed to use the old fleets without any changes? Will we be able to interact with players who are ten years behind us? What about all the planets. Will the update change anything at all? The Republic falls, but i will still be able to visit a Coruscant from ten years ago? What about Companions. Imagine you did get o level 60 without finishing your class or companion story lines. you start KotFE and everything is just gone/completed? What about GSF, Ground PvP, FP and Operations. I play KotFE content and queue for a match, suddenly i fly against imperials in war we already fought ten years ago? The hole concept doesnt make sense, our characters are not time travelers. You just cant cram an RPG Story structure into an MMO.

  4. Please explain to me why this didnt work before. The game launched with hundreds of hours of originial, independent story content and it failed miserably. People abandoned the game because there was a severe lack of endgame content and Swtor went F2P in record time. What saved the game and made it flourish in the end was the focus on providing regular a mix of various endgame updates every six weeks on top of a workable F2P implementation. With KotFE, we have a (probably Ziost sized) story update every month. Meaning two, three hours tops of content with very limited replayability. If you are a subscriber that is. How will this work?
  5. Funny, i draw the opposite conclusion. They are scaling things up because they dont have the ressources to focus on story and new endgame content stuff. It happened before with Asation and FPs when the level cap was raised to 55. There was not enough other content available, so this was their only choice. And now it happens again. Raising much of the existing endgame content to level 65 means nothing is coming in the forseeable future. If they had two new Ops and a handfull of FPs lined up, they wouldnt touch the old stuff. Yet they do, because their focu is story now. Everything else is in maintance mode. Look at the article: Translation: The game is changing. Its now an RPG with a monthly story content update. MMO players are not the target market anymore. Translation: What we have is all you are going to get. We get it resacled to 65 but the way forward is story and only story. Expanding it? see below
  6. Oh no, it wont. You see, they are rescaling awesome content to level 65. Who isnt interested in playing something we have cleared years ago. It'll be a blast Check out this article, its very revealing. The game will become an RPG for the forseeable future. We focus on story and lack the ressources to do anything else. If you want to do new PvE/PvP Endgame content, come back next year, after we are done with story chapters. Or not. We dont really care.

  8. 500 Watts is more than enough, you would be able to get by with 400. If you are unsure, you can use a psu calculator on the web (bequiet.com for example) they are quite reliable. Power consumption wont spike beyond the combined TDP, so 700 or even 800 Watts is not needed at all. Your system crashes because your PSU is of lesser quality and cant even provide the 500Watts it advertises. Thats not uncommon. Power consumption with normal workloads would be far far less, probably not more than 300Watts. Bottom line, dont cheap out on PSUs, it'll cost you in the long run. But also dont invest in needless wattage, invest in quality instead.

  11. Your focus should be on improving your APM atm. Gear can help a bit, but it really doesnt matter much since you're apparently still struggling with the priority list. No amount of gear can fix an apm of ~32. Aim for 37-38. Also, dont work yourself up because of dummy parsing results. Its an indicator for your ability to put out sustained dps in a low stress environment, which translates poorly to actual fights. Arsenal is a rapid burst spec with rapid target switching capability. No matter what you do, Arsenal will always be inferior to other specs when it comes to hitting a target for five minutes without pauses. Just focusing on dummy parsers ignores the actual strengths of the discipline. If you want to improve your performance during acutal encounters, learn how to burst and how to use ebbs and flows in fights. Your power will be comparatively low and your aim will be high. Doenst matter at all, power and mainstat are pretty much equal, especially for the level you want to play at. I would use no more than 400ish crit rating at your gear level, but thats more personal taste than anything else. Just keep in mind, it really doesnt matter that much. Your main problem is APM, not gear.

  14. Progession gibt es immer, im Zweifelsfall halt im Schneckentempo. Der springende Punkt ist eher, dass es bis Ende des Jahres überhaupt keinen neuen Raidcontent mehr geben wird.
  15. Never said three healers were a must/needed. Neither are two tanks or four dds for that matter. The dps requirement is laughable. But while it is possible to play it with two healers, the risk for the tank getting killed will be higher. With three healers pretty much every semi competent raid group will be able to clear it.

  17. A second tank is not needed at all. We killed it yesterday with a PT tank and three healer (one of each class); no problem whatsoever keeping the tank alive. Our tank had less than 5k DTPS and our healers some 3400 EHPS on average. Its even easier now than before the patch.

General • Corrected and adjusted the Conquest and Event schedule: • The Gree Event will continue to run until Tuesday, May 26th. • The Relics of the Gree Conquest Event will repeat starting on Tuesday, May 19th. • Bounty Contract Week has been rescheduled, and will now run from Tuesday, May 26th to Tuesday, June 2nd. Why on earth couldnt this wait til tuesday? Emergency patches are one thing, adjusting schedules for next week during prime time on a holiday is well, ah whatever. Its just Europe.
  19. 1) What is your overall impression of TOR as of right now? The game is changing and not for the better. In fear BW is in the process of actually abandoning meaningfull engame content and refocusing on casual gameplay by producing story content (which you can literally complete without gear). Its obvious they even lack the ressources atm to develop the amount of content we got in 2013, hence the content release cycle continues to increase while most aspects of the game are not being worked on at all. With 12xp, the game is effectively burning content with lightning speed. Once its gone, whats the reason for subscribers to stay subbed if all we get going forward is 2h worth of story content two or three times a year? 2) What is your favorite aspect of gameplay in TOR as of right now? My favorite aspect of the game has always been raiding (i used to do semi progression most of the time), GSF and Strongholds are close seconds. If i look at those aspects of the game; the raiding community is in crisis, we are experiencing an exodus of top guilds/raids since six months after the inital release we still dont know if there will be a nightmare progression. Strongholds are still fun but new decorations aside, they didnt expand the framwork. We need more hooks and a higher limit on item placement. The upcoming stronghold is nice though. GSF was a colossoal failure from BW point of view and they acutally abandoned it. With no new content coming up, less and less players will play it. With fewer and fewer games played, BW has no reason to provide more content. Classic death spiral. 3) What is your least favorite aspect of gameplay in TOR as of right now? Probably crafting wars for conquest achievements. Its just a horrible implementation of a cool concept. Conquests had so much potential and they blew it. 4) How would you like to see your least favorite aspect of gameplay improved? They shouldnt touch it at all since they lack the ressources to make it awesome. 5) What features would you like to see added to TOR in the future? Pazaak would be nice, but they need to invest what they have into the game we have atm. New features are not being worked on and thats a good thing imo. 6) If Jar Jar Binks dies in the next SW movie, how do you hope it will happen? I just hope its not in the movie.
