Are you crazy? We have plenty of survivability tools, you obviously haven't looked properly for them. 2 trinkets. 120 sec CD, with second trinket available after 30 seconds. (So basically 1 minute without trinket). Focussed Defense. 45 sec cooldown, when talented properly (like this guide) gives you a 15% damage reduction, and will also heal you for 3% per tick, a total of 30% health when properly utilised. Saberward. 180 sec CD. 2 second immunity, then 10 second 50% melee/ranged damage reduction and 25% tech/force resistance. PVP Adrenal. 120 sec CD. 15% damage reduction. Endure Pain. 90 sec CD. +30% max health. PVP Medback. 90 sec CD. Combinable with Endure Pain for greater effect. 8% Health Restore every Intercede (assuming you know how to play your tank optimally and took the 2x 2 set). Unstoppable. 15 second CD. 20% Damage Decrease, and CC immunity for 4 seconds after using Charge. 45 second cooldown when specced properly. Reducing a whole teams damage by 30% for 6 seconds is fine, if not almost imba. Learn to combine it with Enrage (the 6 free Focus skill). And they are doing FINE. You're doing lower damage, but you gain: mitigation, guard, the ability control team damage, plenty of CC, mobility. Seriously, read this guide already.

    Guardian need a buff

It doesn't need a buff. Learn to use your class (tanking spec, specifically*). *With this guide.
  4. Hello all, I wish to share with you my PVP tanking guide. It's a direct response to the article on Force Junkies. I'm hoping to get some feedback to perfect, and publish this play style better. Thanks for your time, -Nietzsch
  5. Oh just imagine the possibilities. As an incentitive to get these farmers in they'd have to make lower-cost casual account-type available with some farmer class, and the class could have it's purpose to stuff create stuff that can be funneled to the GTN. Blizzard is considering similar idea's with the addition of player farms: (Source: MMO-Champion)
  6. I think he might work for the Illuminati, who also controls the USA Goverment and wants to brainwash us and take away all your rights. Seriously. You don't know how dangerous he is. That, or he might actually like the game for obvious reasons.
  7. @Devs/Daniel Erickson, any consideration making the new planned legacy character perks legacy wide unlocks? I hate to image having to funnel so much credits into quality of life features on every single alt. Considering the probably already high Legacy level requirements, I think that the most people that have that are already going through the game for their X number of time. Might be an idea to do some community polling/surveying on matters like these.
  8. Exactly! Now you can make them and sell them on the GTN.
  9. Pretty sure that way you can fabricate the item itself with mods etc in 'em, and it will probably require the raid mats.
  10. Consider the cost of the mats (approx 1 in 5 will crit), so that amount x 5. Then whatever profit margin you wish to take for it. I'm selling my crit weapons (without anything in the mod slots) for 400k each. It's a way better money investment than a stupid vanity mount, so I still find the price somewhat low, considering that once you buy it, you'll probably never replace it. (or atleast not until the next content patch).
  11. Here's my PVP Tank spec. So far I'm loving all the changes to Juggernaut and the newly added defensive cooldown of Enraged defense. Currently, I stick guard on a healer and play his personal body guard the entire game. With the reduced cooldown to Threatening Scream, aswell as the added defense really makes this the best spec I can think of.
  12. See topic title. Tank specs. And no, I haven't yet. I enjoy tanking more.
  13. Yes yes, I know it might change somewhat with the next patch, still, it won't be that /drastical/, and it will still be a few weeks I think before we can try it out. So here are some of the specs I've been using that I wanted to bring up for discussion. 28/13/0 Pros: Sonic Barrier Control via Force Grip, Back Hand. Longer Endure pain (and 4% internal/elemental damage redux). Unstoppable. Cons: Slower Screams. No free Smash. No huddle. 24/17/0 Pros: Quicker screams/semi-quicker + Free Smash. Sonic Barrier. Control via Force Grip, Backhand. Unstoppable. Cons: No longer Endure pain (and 4% internal/elemental damage redux). No huddle. 19/22/0 Pros: Free Smashing. Unstoppable. Huddle as extra 20% damage redux cooldown (with as bonus 4% more Endurance) - arguably better than screams. Cons: No Sonic barrier (though a properly timed 20% damage redux could prevent more damage than one scream), less control (losing Force Grip and Backhand) No longer Endure pain (and 4% internal/elemental damage redux).
  14. It doesn't become an actual usuable skill outside the story line. So no, it isn't good for anything else. Good day and enjoy the SI story!
  15. As we all know by now, the Legacy will allow you to unlock races for all the classes once you've reached level 50 with said race. From what I could find out from the character creation screens, there's 3 races Empire-only, and 2 races that are Republic-only. Seeing as to how the Legacy is currently limited to one server, you might want to think about which races you pick, and which you will want to unlock if you want to have a special race from the other side of the fence, having all 4 classes per faction. Empire Sith Warriors: Human, Sith Pureblood, Cyborg, Zabrak Sith Inquisitors: Human, Sith Pureblood, Twilek, Rattataki, Zabrak Bounty Hunter: Human, Cyborg, Zabrak, Rattataki, Chiss Imperial Operative: Human, Chiss, Cyborg, Zabrak, Rattataki Summary: Empire Exclusive: Chiss, Sith Pureblood, Rattataki Empire Limited: Twilek Suggested race picks: Sith Pureblood, Rattataki and Chiss are Empire only. Consider that if you wish to unlock them for the Republic. Republic: Jedi Knights: Human, Miraluka, Twilek, Zabrak, Mirialan Jedi Consulars: Human, Miraluka, Twilek, Zabrak, Mirialan Smugglers: Human, Cyborg, Twilek, Zabrak, Mirialan Troopers: Human, Zabrak, Cyborg, Mirialan Summary: Republic Unique: Miriluka, Mirrilian, Twilek Suggested racepicks: Twilek is pretty uncommon for the Empire to have, and Miraluka and Mirialan are currently Republic only. Conclusion: Human and Zabrak are available for all classes, and thus not recommended if you wish to unlock new species. Cyborg is pretty common, but still limited to some classes, so worth considering to make one of them as well. Twilek is also recommended to make as a republic character, as they have more options for them.
  16. Hire them and let them update/upgrade the space missions. I'm sure they can work with this and make it as grand as it should be. Kind regards, and keep up the good work (can't wait for the Legacy system)!
  17. Now that's got to be a most painful, but worthwhile investment, I guess. At the very best the low level tiers are a very small niche. As I do fear a lot of people (myself included) mostly care for the endgame gear. Then again, I am mostly pushing to be selfsufficient for most of my alts, and I settle with green (either gear or item mods) whilst leveling.
  18. Good goal! Same here really, I've already gone out my way to do just that. Having all my mission skills run for blue/purple companion gifts on all my alts to get everyone max affection. But with my slicers I obviously pick up a lot tradeskill mission, so I get a lot of extra material, so I automatically went to RE some specific RE-stuff. But in retrospect, I'm starting to regret wasting all my blue materials (still have 2-3 stacks of purple materials lying around though), so I was wondering if anyone else was making the same 'mistake' as I am.
  19. A fair point. Crafting for your leveling alts isn't really worth RE-ing/spending materials. However, with my new characters reaching the level cap I am thinking some of the tier 22 mods, armorings and enhancements do give a nice boost to the freshly dinged. But if it's really worth it... *shrugs* I am somehow doubting they will boost the current tier 22 - but just create a new tier for us all to RE.
  20. I was considering reverse engineering a lot of the lvl 49 mods/enhancements/armorings till artifact level, but then it struck to me. BW was seriously reworking crafting, and in attempt to make crafting more relevant, one would think they would add better items or variety available from basic crafting. So I wonder, are you guys still investing in RE-ing (mostly doing it to make my alts WZ/HM ready once they hit 50), or are you guys hoarding up all your precious minerals?
  21. And it's actually already in the game. It just isn't very obvious. Play around with the rank names a bit. (E.g. delete old ranks, name new and give them simular priviledges).
  22. I'd hope/like to suggest that the legacy system will allow/unlock some form of control over all of the companions without having to relog, and that there would be some sort of family bank. It'd be one of the most convenient things I'd suggest to add, and I guess it fits the thought of a legacy being a tightly knit-family. It will definitely make it less painful to have several characters and to have to relog every single time to send everyone on crewskills. Also: before you start yelling that with this people get too much power vs non-alters. Well, we already have the option to make alts and level the crewskills, might as well make it less of a nuisance eh?
  23. Protip: it becomes easy when you leave the healer out to heal the turrets. I've wiped on that thing so often because of not realising that. After you figure that out, it becomes faceroll.
