They are most likely capping individual server loads at the moment (at least, I would. I am in I.T. and from a technical standpoint they will want to run a very balanced load at the moment). In fact, I thought I saw a link to this information. Can't be bothered to fetch it right now, trying to wrap up work and head home.

I just wanted to post a quick thank you to "Qwertly". You'll notice his/her unofficial thread bouncing around page 1 where he continues to compile the trend of dates getting in on each wave of each day. This is a great source of information and probably blocking a lot of extra threads by accumulating all of this. Thanks, from a December hoper .

I actually think we're better off than it looks. Today and tomorrow a large range of dates will be covered as pre-orders slowed down between initial availability and close to game launch.
