  1. that was a pretty bad game for everyone, me included, the only standout thing was i noticed i hit a guy for 7k which is pretty rare! you still do way more total damage than me but i like to see the big numbers If I said I was tank spec, would anyone believe me? (but no it was force)
  2. Post a picture of your biggest WZ hit done, after the surge nerf! I don't care if its a winning game, a losing game, if you're in a premade, if you had every possible buff, I JUST WANT TO SEE THE NUMBERS. Here's mine: http://i43.tinypic.com/2elystv.jpg
  3. 2 time gladiator here s should be bound. turning around is not always an option nor desired. moving at slow speeds at a certain facing is often what you want. anyone who DOESN'T have backwards bound bad because apparently they cant deal with 1 extra key to press stop trolling
  4. really good work nothing surprising to me, and like you said its pretty easy to get these numbers. the worst part is that in things like civil war and voidstar there are STILL more imps, which represents all the 6 v 8 games we have as republic. lets just hope bioware is at least thinking about how to even this up
  5. what spec are you? watchman or focus? pre 50 a good game for me was 200k dmg, with the focus bombs. focus is a really easy spec to play if you want to top damage but not put too much effort into it.
  6. as you said you can pretty much lose your way to battlemaster/full champ, and then later on with 1.2 you can lose your way to all the BM gear, and probably lose your way to whatever rated warzones give as well right now the only difference between a win and a loss is a few commendations, a couple hundred valor, and daily credit, all of which is meaningless except maybe for the daily credit (which only has meaning if you don't have enough time to play) so my conclusion then is that people don't like to lose. and that is pretty much unfixable, because SOMEONE is going to have to lose! its just a psychological thing. if in PVE I'd say to my group "okay this boss is going to kick our *** 20 times in a row, but afterwards we'll get gear" then time constraints aside everyone would be okay with it. if on the otherhand I said "okay we're going to lose to guild X 20 times in a row, and they will probably talk some trash, but afterwards we'll get gear", no one is going to sign up there is nothing bioware can do about this, other than make the pvp SO FUN (or maybe just really short and fast like in guild wars) that losing over and over is still fun.

    GCD in PvP

animation then is the gcd i think it would be interesting but at this point it would unbalance a lot of things, so having a gcd or not is a decision that has to be made very early on in the design of a game, and we are clearly past that point
  8. yeah but people get all worked up about losing. you can probably lose your way to whatever gear it is that people are whining about, since its likely commendations will be given to all participants (just more to the winners - and probably not much more if its like now) so its not even about gear, its about people wanting to win ALL THE TIME or at least much more than they lose. which is just not possible for everyone because its a zero sum game
  9. why cant you find 7 people for pvp if you can easily find 15 people for pve? it boils down to pve = predictable = easy pvp = unpredictable + someone has to lose = not easy any argument about nerf X, buff Y, ban premades, etc are usually people who can't deal with the fact that someone has to lose, and that someone is them because the other guy(s) are better

are you suggesting to remove gcd so you can literally do all your moves at the same instant
  11. actually the 1% i lose to is bioware starting the game 6 v 8, so if that is you, please fix your queue system
  12. i think they should let people solo queue for rated, but it will probably take a lot longer to get a pop because most people will be queuing with either 8 or 4 (if they dont allow 8) then all the solo queuers will lose 90% of the time and come here to complain, or maybe actually make some friends and queue with them this is like people complaining that they cant do 16 man ops by themselves, but their solo quests don't give them rakata gear like they want, so they demand to be able to get rakata gear from solo quests. it doesn't make sense.
  13. well i already win close to 100% of games when i queue with my friends, so i don't know that i need help .... but I guess it will be fun to crit you for 8k with this shiny new gear
  14. its 10 times easier to whine on the forums than admit to oneself they they are bad
  15. stop standing all within 5 meters of each other?
  16. you want to get carried, shoulda rolled republic
  17. also on vulkar highway. if i solo queue i roll imps at a 60% clip easy. near 100% premade. there are some bad repubs on my server who might be experiencing the opposite, but there really arent that many repubs total so the chances they get carried are high my theory is republic has a advantage being so outnumbered in that anyone who is looking to get carried without doing much contribution probably rolled sith. only the crazy people would stay republic. also on my server some of the good sith pvpers have rerolled as they are bored with huttball and their tremendous amount of useless pugs, so i think the trend is going to be upwards for republic pvp victories ... much like the early days of horde when we were outnumbered quite badly but then it turned out we produced the best teams/most gladiators once the bgs were introduced

    4v8 pvp wz

as long as you put super human effort into things you can win!!!!!! what is this, 2nd grade? this is like saying the new jersey nets can beat the miami heat in a 7 game series as long as all their players show up and have the games of their lives, and truly expecting it to happen 4v8 = not fair, anyone trying to skirt around this is bananas
  19. ideally everyone has the same gear so theres no qq about gear, like in guild wars the only thing that matters in pvp is winning and reputation. people don't recognize others for their meaningless title, they recognize others because they know they're gonna get rolled when facing them
  20. 80 on 20 is not pvp there was no open world pvp this is the end of the empire getting 4 times as much valor per day for zerging around
  21. i like world pvp but the 60 on 20 ******** that is ilum is not anything close to world pvp or even pvp i spit on ilum's grave
  22. pve in this game actually sucks. yeah the class quests, and all the dialogue is great, but then you hit end game and you realize for a "pve mmo", the end game options are TERRIBLE all the "hard mode" flashpoints are basically 1 piece of loot that anyone cares about for 45 minutes of clearing trash/boss fights that can be done by fresh 50s the ops give a ton of loot but even then, its the same loot you can get from pvp, only pvp is much easier and FUNNER because the ops encounters bascially amount to rehashed ideas from wow its not meant to be a pvp game at all, but the pve is so boring that it makes the pvp the only route
  23. oh no, one less imp running around, what are we going to do!!!!
  24. not enough republic to do 8 v 8 without a 6 v 8 start, good luck findin 16
  25. i dont think the game requires that much communication if you're defending an objective, and theres 5 of you and 3 of the enemy, do you really need someone to tell you that your other point(s) need help and you should leave? if you're chasing after the huttball guy and he's 2 feet from a flame vent do you really need someone to tell you not to stun him? when you're dead in voidstar and waiting for respawn, should you really need someone to tell you which side to go after you're out? most things in this game are very logical but as we know most people who play mmos lack common sense the reason I run with a premade is not so we can call out all these advanced strats over mumble. we actually hardly talk about the game. its just so i can be with a few other people with common sense, and I don't have to worry about capping a point with 4 people then 10 seconds later realizing no body is there and it gets recapped for nothing. its not like I'm saying "hey dont leave the point undefended" or "hey dont break cc" in mumble. at this point I've done probably thousands of warzones. I shouldn't need to explain things like, "hey we're capping, i'm going to AOE cc the ressers, nobody break it", whether that is to pugs or my premade buddies. unfortuantly with pugs there's usually some sage who thinks its a break idea to aoe kb right there b/c omg they're all there!
