  1. great thread.. and great updates on the Dev Tracker. Unfortunately there's so many posts since i last read 'em.. i had to skip some of the info.. all i read was: "... able to enter... make your way... remember to use.. bottom... patience... reverted.. quick prosess... may extend.. downtime.. US: 4:00PM PDT, 7:00PM EDT. Europe: April 14th, 12:00AM BST, 1:00AM CEST. AU: 9:00AM AEST. NZ: 11:00AM NZST, 9:30am CDT, 3:30PM BST, 4:30PM CEST, 12:30AM (April 14th) AEST, 6AM CDT (4PM PDT/7AM EDT/12PM BST/1PM CEST/9PM AEST) until 10AM CDT (8AM PDT/11AM EDT/4PM BST/5PM CEST/1AM AEST (4AM PDT/7AM EDT/12PM BST/1PM CEST/5PM AEST) extended (10AM CDT (8AM PDT/11AM EDT/4PM BST/5PM CEST/1AM AEST)), 7:00PM EDT. Europe: April 14th), 12:00AM BST, 1:00AM CEST. AU: 9:00AM AEST , US: 4:00PM PDT (8AM PDT/11AM EDT/4PM BST/5PM CEST/1AM AEST),three days, closed, downtime, sorry, up, Darth Malgus" did i miss anything vital ?
  2. you get the same amount of credits and same-level items from those grayd'out missions as you would have if you had done them at the appropiate level. .. when im doing 30's missions at level 40, i still get the lvl 30'gear.. witch is outdated for me and the companions.. therefore its better to take tokens. not sure if the xp for bonus missions is any different from the 5xp thou.. but i do the old missions mosty for the storyline anyways...
  3. i hear you.. started on balmora at lvl 38 myself. Unfortunately it seems that the grayd out missions will only reward you with credits, reward items and tokens.. and 5 xp.. done plenty of those.. still, the tokens alone are worth it in my book, as i use them to gear my companions in eye-pleasing orange gear... what ever i have left i use on mod vendors i suppose we're not supposed to do everything along the way, the different paths are there to please the massess who want to focus on few of those areas.. its still possible to level up with pvp only, for example.. at the moment im pondering if its time to let go of some H2-H4 on nar shadda, that i never seem to find groups for
  4. something along the lines of.. (corso as we enter palace) will you look at this place.. what do we do if we run into a duke or baroness ? take a bow ? curtsay ? wink knowingly ?
  5. i think i had one all for Corso.. but honestly, i was so drunk.. we agreed not to mention it again... I love my ‘slinger, I love the play. I love it more and more each day. I love my Corso, he is the best. I love his harpoon and all the rest I love the stories and the locations I hate to have to go on vacation I love my ship, so drab and gray And the dailies that pile each day I love to play in my padded cell There’s nothing else I love so well. I love to play among my peers. I love their leers and jeers and sneers I love my computer and its software; I hug it often though it won't care. I love the client and every file, I’d love them more if they worked a while I'm happy to be here, I am, I am; I'm the happiest Star Wars fan, I am. I love the pro’s, I love the newbs I love to melt their face and shoes I love my ‘slinger -I'll say it again. I even love these friendly men, These men who've come to visit today In lovely white coats to take me away.

  7. great info! i was lost with the greens, blues, oranges.. cybertech main and armortech alts.. but reading this thread has assured me i'm not doing something horribly wrong with the gear.. as mentioned, keeping up with up-to-date mods and enchants for every possible slot, on every character and companion can be.. overwhelming.. even if you craft most of the mods yourself... i've been using a combo of moddable gear, crafted and questrewards.. and seems to work for now.. just need to check all the "oranges" in the vault for the best lookin combo now thanks for info
  8. 22 pages is alot to go through.. so forgive me if this has been mentioned x times.. space flight 1. all the enemy fighters have red trails 2. you can rotate the galaxy map with mouse2 button pressed down / move 3. there is no secret cow level
  9. hi, You're looking for Galactic Trade Network... you can call it AH if you like, people will know.. the 1st one you come across is at your fleet (around lvl 8-11, although you can enter the fleet at level 1 if you want to). once you are at the fleet, open map (M) and look at the bottom left corner of the map, there are differect filters for what you want to see on your map. check the galactic trade network and you'll see the spots on the map.. For Rebublic its in the outer ring of the station, top right corner (if i recall)... you might want to read up on it from the game manual : http://www.swtor.com/gamemanual/exploring-galaxy/galactic-trade-network edit: and yes, there's 1 network for reb. 1 for imp. and 1 that is shared. GTN booths are found in most zones, usually near a vault and mailbox too
  10. options are in preferences > key bindings -tab > quickslot quickslot 1-12 is your basic quick bar you start with. left quickslot 1 - 12 is the one on left right quickslot 1-12 is the one on right bottom center quickslot 1-12 is the one.. in bottom center.. you can activate the quickbars (preferences > game -tab > user interface > quickbars - enable bottom center quickslot - enable left quickslot - enable right quickslot if you have all the quickslot visible, the quickslot page x and next/previous quickslot page are useless.. i've only found 4 quickslots anyways
  11. not to hijack.. but i had a boring day at work I love my ‘slinger, I love the play. I love it more and more each day. I love my Corso, he is the best. I love his harpoon and all the rest I love the stories and the locations I hate to have to go on vacation I love my ship, so drab and gray And the dailies that pile each day I love to play in my padded cell There’s nothing else I love so well. 12. that is very workable and close to mine, though i went 1-5, shift 1-5, q,e,r,f,z,x,c, and most shifted, some with ctrl.. and, as we dont need function buttons for anything, F1-F4 is filled with finishers / aoe... oh and mouse 3,4,5 + shifted too.. things i dont need often go to qbar 3 (shift + mousewheel to show).. like travel, buffs etc I'd suggest you think about the bindings abit and keymap everything ready, even if you dont use the slot yet. on the right hand bar i've got no binding atm. old-time clicker but i've been training myself out of it.. it works very nicely once you no longer need to look at the qbars and the muscle-memory kicks in
  13. dont forget, you can bind all mouse functions with shift, alt and ctrl... and combinations of those... on a 5 button mouse with wheel (up/down), thats a lot of funtions on your mouse...
  14. only if you want to choose when and where you PVP... Personally, i've allways chosen PVP servers when available on the last... oh, lets say 15+ MMO's
  15. I'm afraid not. Once you leave a safezone, you'll be automaticly flagged for pvp and they can have their way with you, wheter you agree to or not (on PVP server) but, to my experience you wont see much of the opposing side untill your lvl 25 or so.. and rarely at best even still (well, on Ahto City -server atleast).. but you can start the "battlegrounds" (sory for the lack of proper terminology) at lvl 10 if you choose to. as for server choise... i'm tempted to suggest some med-high populated server but the login ques can be anything from 5 mins to several hours on "popular" ones... (high peak times like friday evening and weekends)
  16. Quite simple. Once you know the play mechanics, play area and your class, it wont take too many hours to race to lvl 10 in any starter area... ps. good thing is, you can que the needed crafts and logout for some shuteye.. they'll be waiting when you login next time... for those 30+ min missions and crafts
  17. hmm good advice, i'll have to try that .. didn't know that was possible too.. darn Corso and his Mighty Harpoon...
  18. well, i'll have stab at this... biochem (as most crafts) mostly depend on your source of raw materials... should you have unlimited credits, good friends or guild, you can master a craft pretty fast.. every craft does take real time (like 1-5 minutes at the begining) and you can only que 5 craft per companion. There's definately a market for the right stuff as most people rather buy items outside of their own expertise.. medpacks etc are needed by most players. Haven't done much biochem my self, but on the cybertech -side.. there's definately those certain items that sell fast if the price is right.... why do i keep comin back ? storyline. first and most. every class has a different path and even most players... although it must be said, the pve content is pretty straightforward and linear. pvp, crafting, spacefight, flashpoints, ops.. plenty to choose from at day 1. And more will come. not sure i answerd anything but.. /2 cents
  19. you open the customization kit by right clicking it (like an container), inside you find 3 items that you can move to your inventory. Open up your character sheet and look at the bottom, there are different tabs (1st one is you, second is companion, last one is ship.. if you have one). click on the companion tab and equip items as you would for yourself... worth mentioning, if your companion has no gloves for example, the companion comparative tooltips will show nothing ofcourse. You can check the option from preferences > user interface > tooltip -section.
  20. i hear you.. just finished my latest pc build and cant wait to get the hardware on proper use... i'm sure there will be options for "higher end" setups later on, but for the launch i suppose it was a path chosen (graphics) to include the masses... and i approve 99%
  21. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=612#anchor13 now.. don't quote me on this... but its my understanding that if no-one is on the channel.. it doesnt exist. So simple "/cleave channelname" should work /cleave [channelname] [password] - Leave a custom channel also including a password if needed
